First off, the Meet and Greets are really a fun, casual affair and I don't want people thinking I am going there with to aggressively raise a big fuss over any specific topics.
I do, however, intend to talk about bases and get a few thoughts off of my chest and into WW's head (and anyone else interested). Mainly just to direct attention to our concise list of things, this forum, this community and my thoughts on how a little love would go a long way.
Secondly, I hung around at the Boston Meet and Greet and there was plenty of open and honest discussion about PvP. They weren't shy or backing down and everything was very cool.
I thoroughly enjoyed just hanging out with WW and Positron and having a lot of casual, interesting conversations about a number of aspects of the game.
And WW should remember me, I'm sure. She's a really sweet person and did her best to really give everyone who wanted it some attention (Including to listening to an ongoing rant about the PvP changes as we were all supposed to be leaving, hehe, keeping me by because she wanted to hear something else I had said I wanted to mention).
All I am saying is that, it'll be a respectful exchange and I am quite interested to convey my (many of our) thoughts directly to her in person and see and hear what she has to say about it.
I'm very interested in what she can explain about her comments on the whole "finer tune control" thing for the future... and just bases in general.
And I even had a brief correspondence with her afterward, focused on her thoughts on some work I had done in my profession.

I know those replies were in jest and all, but I just didn't want to give any wrong impressions. I'm a straight shooter and I've been doing so much base editing lately that there is no question it is currently the top thing on my mind, concerning the game. So, it's going to come up big time, hehe, but these things are very cool and I have a lot of respect for the Devs I have met in person and truly look forward to hearing their thoughts.

I know none of that was probably necessary for me to post... but... Hey, I had some time to kill

Awesome! I hope you make it. And if you do, you better say hi! (I will if I see you first)
I remember at Boston, a lot of people didn't know what to put on their name tags, hehe.
I plan on using my Forum Handle, at least (Last time, I crammed my forum handle, my global handle and my real name on it).

I've been thinking about maybe putting a still of my avatar on something, a tag or a t-shirt... I wonder if that would stick in people's heads more.

So, how did all that go?
  2. It's funny to see how many think that flippers are ruining this in game economy.

If people only knew the real damage comes from the rmt's.

THAT is what is ruining -everything-

The reason for the bump in Prestige is to make up for the fact that a Praetorian cannot form/join a Supergroup while in Praetoria so isn’t contributing to a Supergroup until they leave Praetoria at level 20. The bump is to bring them in line with other Primals in the Supergroup.

Before Issue 19, if a Praetorian left their Supergorup, the prestige would go with them. (Which is probably what the complaints of Supergroups “losing hundreds of thousands” of Prestige is about.)

With Issue 19, the 100K Prestige bump is still given, but it’s only given to the first (and only the first) Supergroup that a Praetorian joins upon arriving in Primal Earth. If they choose to leave their Supergroup, that Prestige no longer goes with them.

If you have any questions, you can contact a Game Master through the petition system and they can give you details as to exactly what happened with your particular Supergroup.

so, my crazy self is scattered all over the place just doing what I normally do, then I find this. it's almost like song to me. I am well aware of the context, and even raised an eyebrow to the "Game Master".. I guess thats what they are being called these days? anyway, what I am seeing I am really starting to get googly eyed over.

I am seeing War Witch post...

She keeps saying these words... these beautiful words... I know, It's not really the words I am looking for but still.. these words are being said, Supergroups and Prestige. She is talking about bases. My God. I want to see her do that more. I really do, even though the subject isn't pertaining to what I am really after, A few of those words are being spoken, by her... I don't know maybe I am being a bit creepy but what the hell...

You ever hear someone say a few magic words and they ... just don't carry the energy you are looking for, and then, suddenly this all powerful wizard says the same words with a deafening bellow and mountains tremble... That's what I'm feeling right now.

    I Want more.

I feel like I was fed a huge meal just hearing -HER- talk about bases.

It felt good. Like a warm fuzzy good.

    I want more.

    Don't stop!
  4. okokok I will try really hard to behave

I'm trying to come up with something supportive

David Bowie is making this tough.

Now I'm stupid in the street and I can't socialize.
  5. Bases would be content with the addition of a coordinate incrementation tool for objects and a ton of low hanging fruit.

Your ability to hold aggro says otherwise.

Must have been all that :P and taunting you are legendary for doing, hence the dogpile.

Ah well, don't set the table if you aren't ready for dinner.

I do sympathize with your motives, however you are going about this wrong by bringing it here.

Since you seem to have some form of pull on the ladder I would suggest PM's and Petitions.

Unless of course, a unified front has all those features disabled.

I have been entirely too busy to try to keep up with things.

Will someone please explain to me this annoying and disenchanting game mechanic to me?

I'm not liking this "defeat elite boss with no reward" thing we seem to have going on here.

Edit: is there a timer or cool down to it? is this a one shot deal?

Even the Latin origin only refers to a hammer.
You have to look at the deeper meaning, the motive behind it.

    My mother is a Witch.

I have never delved into her arts but as it was explained to me in vivid detail the meaning is there.

    This should be changed.

    This is odd.

It always is when I find myself agreeing with GG.

After doing a bit of homework I have to support this change.

    Wow...just...wow....
  10. I would like to see npc's try to navigate my base in an npc raid.

I would invite everyone I could just to watch them lose their digital minds.

    ss is weak!

If I were you I would play all three tanks, brute, scraps to lvl 50 and take the time to learn AND EMBRACE the differences.

That way you could break out the super brain and come up with something that would better suit your desires.

The bad thing is that was very glitchy, it was very easy to misplace your portal outside of your actual building zone.

    Desire: decorative doorways

Result: anyone zoning into your base would fall and fall and fall and fall and ... you get the idea.

The fix for that would be more than I am willing to ask... for right now that is.

Until our committee and community form and pull together, we don't know what they can and can't deliver.

So far our rough idea for any base love whatsoever would be... low hanging fruit.
  13. Due to the circumstances I seriously doubt they will give a reason even though I wish they would.

I read that article and man I wish I could get into i21 beta
  14. I like the idea of npc raids especially if the said in comings were worth not xp, not inf, but rather a "boosty" prestige, as in a huge boost,

say... we were raided several times today and now we can afford a nice new sg control item...that gives us an epic buff...

    *wakes up and changes sheets*

edit: I think that would be a good mechanic, I mean, with what happened to the IoP buff and all...*sniff*

  17. After spending a good deal of time on vent with Dead_West I have been convinced that this is THE step in the right direction that we have ALL been waiting for.

If anyone has any doubts I would highly recommend getting on vent with DW to clear things up.

    I am behind this 1000%

    Our time is NOW.

    Lets NOT blow our chance!

    Best aoe dmg

Elec Melee, Fire Aura, Pyre Mastery brute does fan-damn-tastic.

    yay Hexadecimate!

I'm raising a SS/FA/Pyre brute for fun. I don't see the point in taking mu mastery when you have that firey embrace going, it just makes sense to pick up the pyre for that.

    Burn is your friend.

I originally took mu on my elec because at the time burn had that fear effect. It doesn't anymore <THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH> so there's no point in keeping an immob.

    I have three wishes.

    1. I wish for you to stay.

    2. I wish to see the return of the City Scoop.

    3. I wish to see an explosion of base editors in this fine game.
  20. Hollywood sucks.

They couldn't get it right if their lives depended on it.

  21. I found this on Redside. Its beautiful. For obvious reasons, I am suggesting this. These shrubs, they are forming a maze. It would be -BIG LOVE- if they were stackable. look at that grass. yummy. look at that pavement. also yummy. Look at those tiny bushes around that water fountain. Lovin it. Would water fountains be possible?

  22. Freakshow theme is awesome. I love these framework support structures.
