He's actually kind of polite in-game, from what I saw at least, and I did point out as best I could that he find something better to do.
so that being said,
any mods feel like locking and deleting this thread please? -

Quote:for the market price? no complaints,I'm surprised to see people complaining about the price. At least market wise, they have been much more affordable than I expected, capping out at around 300 mil for the Scrapper and Brute pieces and significantly less for all the others.
for the merit vendor price? Expect complaints. -
Caveat emptor...
When you use a catalyst on these Origin enh, it bumps them up, it also takes them out of your set bonus stack until all enh have been catalized to equal levels.
If this is WAI it needs to be clearly stated as such.
edit: I see now, it changes them entirely when you use a catalyst, from brute to superior brute, set bonuses change, about to test it with a purped out build to see how the rule of 5 plays.
edit 2: the set bonuses seem to be just fine even with my 5 purple sets. Also noted, catalizing them makes them account bound.
edit 3: just noticed, my fire ss build has 4 purp sets not five, going to assume <ick> that when these origins are catalized that they count as purple sets via the +10% rech bonus, so safe to assume? that rule of 5 still means 5. -
here's a little bit more feedback, I'm checking out the brute set, it's not letting me slot them in powers that I would actually stand to gain something significant and worthwhile, such as air superiority, spring attack, basically the extra power pools don't count when trying to fit these things into a build.
it's going to take some mid's fu to work these things in for any of it to be worthwhile.
I'm sure ill think of something, but my main that would benefit from this set is purped out to the hilt, slotted with nothing but rares <yeah its one of those builds that casual gamers will never see> so fitting in these new carrots is gonna be tough. -
thats been my experience on beta. somewhere in between rare and very rare. it's decent imho.

When I say ultra meh... not counting the auction house,
I think 400 merits is a -bit- steep for these.
my opinion, not trying to bash anyone. -
For the idea of ATO's? win.
For the effectiveness and procs? meh.
For the price? ULTRA MEH. -
Not spending anything since paragon points are not being properly awarded.

I'm not going to care about it anymore.
If I care about it, I'm 100% going to get upset about it.
I'm not playing this game to get upset, although this is very upsetting, as I'm convinced it was designed to be.
I'm just going to pretend that paragon rewards were a dream and don't exist in the real world. -
personally I think my bio is better. but I'm biased:
Its VERY REAL People! I was kidnapped by some aliens and they told me that today we were having turkey but it wasnt thanksgiving and I wouldn't say it snowed but Santa came up to me and shot my dog in the balls with an AK47 and then someone came up to me and cut my..... grass for no reason, he charged me 5 bucks but I gave him 2 so she ran away. What are the odds? but my dog wasn't shot in the balls, my cat got shot in the balls instead. well, your dog with no balls came up to me and asked if I could support the local maffia chapter, I said "sure" So, I started to give people good luck. I saw a bum, I gave him a leg. I saw someone at a casino, I gave her an arm. I saw some kid taking a test, I gave him a leg. I saw whatever that was, ate my last leg. Shortly, I found myself rolling down the street. Someone told Me that I should have that looked at, so, I went to the doctor, he told me that Girls ate my brains, so, I got new arms and legs, but still no brains, Purple Cow. I love carrots...Call me Bunny. +.+ -
Quote:Only if you read mine first, and please be sure to point yourself out to me I'm horrible remembering names.Ill just challenge anyone to come to D and meet Dem read his bio and judge for yourself if its god mode by whatever standard you use. show up and read with your own two eyes.
...or what you -could- do is post it here and save me the trouble of... oh nevermind.

Quote:can't say I'm happy to be in the same boat.So far petitioning it has only gotten me the standard form that it's being escalated. So glad being a VIP gets me such outstanding customer service.
when I embraced this business model, my reason for doing so was the expectations that the increase in funds would provide better quality for the overall game, that includes better quality products, getting things <issues, booster packs, etc..> out in a timely, organised manner.
Seeing it firsthand, I am left with a <for lack of a better way to say it> "thrown in the back seat and told to STFU" kind of feeling...
this makes me ask, what in the hell is going on with PS?
What happened? Something somewhere went wrong, and that's NOT okay.
If quality of product drops, then so will the income. Being that I run my own home business, I can attest to this.
I'm not interested in pointing fingers, I'm not interested in getting anyone in trouble. I'm interested in getting what I paid for, on time, every time.
Thank you PS it's been a long strange trip, lets keep this ride moving, bump up that quality please. -

Quote:This kind of points something out...Hell ill go delete my characters named that IOs and all if it will chill you sour pusses out and take it for the light hearted fun it was intended to be.
If you are of the mindset that if you hurt yourself enough, it will hurt those you don't like...
You need help... professional help...
My advice: Get out of this game, Get off these boards, Turn off your computer, Go outside and experience the real world.
Don't come back to any digital world<s> until you have either hit puberty or worked at least two years at a 12 hr a day hard labor job.
You are toxic, someone not to laugh at...I pity you.
This is sad. -
Quote:Was he a Sith Lord too?just to really ruin the day of the haters, more then 6 years ago I rolled a toon and kept him shelved knowing actually playing him at the time was pure insta generic. His name Marcus Cole
Thing is, there is no longer any dev nor dev run character connected with this little ol name. Oh I wonder whatever shall I do now to further my own evil insane agenda* evil grin* Any ideas?
Since Santa Claus has me on ignore can I sit in his lap and tell him what I want for christmyass? -

Quote:This is why I always tell clients "If you don't test restore backups once in a while YOU DON'T HAVE A BACKUP".
One of my clients, a few years ago had their local techs pull something like this on them.
The app we were supporting for them was an old dBase CRM that used direct file access. So, invariably, someone would leave it open every night.
Because the local tech company was too stupid to have these guys just buy a live file module for their backup software, they were getting "failure" reports on the backup every night.
So they "fixed" it.
By taking the application's directory out of the backup routine...
*6 Months Later*
The customer suffered a catastrophic server failure. They got everything else restored but when they went to the CRM, a several tables, that had been live when the server **** the bed, were hollowed out. 0-byte files.
So we're like, well, THAT sucks. Let's roll back to the last backup before the crash. Hey...where are your backups?
That's when the whole ugly mess came to a head. LUCKILY these guys still had a 6 month old copy on a laptop of one of their salesguys who never synced. We were able to get the data moved back to the server and get them up and running again, minus all their current data. Still, a damn sight better than losing their ENTIRE customer database...
This little career-limiting-move saw the local tech outfit bounced out the front door and told, pointedly, that they were blacklisted from EVER working for this company or any of its subsidiaries again.
reading this makes me think of all the times I was disappointed with issues in this game, now... I count my blessings... -
for some reason, a few of my friends still have working services.
kudos to them and anyone else that survived. -
Right. Thanks for the correction, My brain is just getting started and this is what I am waking up to. I'm floored.
-
...friggin' ouch!
A hacker <a rather nasty one> hit -all- ventrillo servers, even the backups were truncated, so now no vent.
Go to zebgames.com for more info.
personally I think this was an inside job. -
