So, I'd like to optimize this build to help level people, damage and defense are my primary concerns. I want to play Frank a lot before (if?) the servers go dark but I'd like to help as many people as I can in the process. Any ideas are welcome and I'm not married to anything in this build if it can help me level people faster. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Someone mentioned the problem with players who do 1-50 by doing nothing but DFB, and consequently know next to nothing about how their toon's power sets interact with situations other than the few presented by DFB, and even less about more "advanced" concepts like protecting NPCs, using temp powers, destroying objects, enemy mob control, etc. In effect, DFB has done nothing to help prepare players for the Incarnate game experience, and I suspect this problem is only going to get worse as time goes on.

I've been staring at mids for over an hour and I can't seem to focus or come up with anything.
I'm looking for some kinda dps/softcapped unholy compromise.
I remember thinking some interesting things could be done with Elec's slotting but I can't remember WHAT...
I'm going with ss, hasten, cj, kick, tough, and weave atm and money is no object though I prefer to just stick to IO's considering the rarity of the others. -

This was while Union seemed pretty quiet last night too, i dont know maybe some servers have totally different experiences from my own in that it really is almost impossible to get a trial together, im just speaking from my own experience that Union [top 5 population wise? Maybe? I dont know!] has quite a large percentage of people who like trials.

I believe I read at one point that data mining shows most people aren't playing the trial content.

No matter WHAT the solo incarnate content is or how slow it is I will NEVER run an iTrial again after it releases. There isn't a slow enough that won't make any solo option infinitely better for me. I despise the trials. I despise the mechanics, I despise the general league mentality, I despise the gimmicks in them, I despise the failure rate, I despise the waiting, and I despise the standing around doing nothing WHILE waiting.

I was playing CoH yesterday and everything was fine, except for my monitor. It has been falling apart for weeks now, and this morning it was clearly on its last legs. So I ran out and bought a new monitor. It's widescreen (which isn't a perfect fit for my desk, but apparently that's all you can easily buy these days). I plug in the new monitor, fire it up, and everything is fine. I launch CoH to make sure it looks good... and I can't log in.
The Launcher seems to work, I get to the login screen. My username is already there, as usual. I put in the password, and I get an odd error message: "You must fill out the account and password fields to log in to your account." I tried a few more times, with no change. I put in the wrong password on purpose, and it gave me a different, more reasonable error: "The account name or password that you have entered is incorrect."
I tried messing around a little. As long as the first character I type is the first character in my password, then I get that first error message no matter what else I type after that. If the first character is not correct, then I get the second error message.
Under no circumstances can I log in.
Any ideas? I can't imagine a new monitor could cause something like this, but nothing else has changed on my end. -

So, here's my take on the whole thing.
You open a topic about a minor ingame incident, as to get reassurance that You Are A Good Person, while Other People Are Stupid. That's either misguided or manipulative, as there's only one side of the story and people are naturally inclined to agree with someone they know (you), as little as they might know about said person, than an unknown person or group (others). Said topic is filled with me, myself and I talk, which seems... Telling, considering its title.
You start to show passive aggressiveness in game by making snide comments regarding people's inabilities rather than address the problem directly like a reasonable person trying to communicate, and keep it up by cheaply jumping on the chance to report someone as soon as a bad word is said.
Then you switch to the offensive and send tells to someone. It's hard to see more than two reasons for someone to do that: either you are, indeed, that self-centered to think that any random stranger would care so much about you that they absolutely had to hear your justification (or even more self-centered than that and don't even think about the point of view of the other person), or trollish and aggressively trying to argue.
By your own account all that guy did was make one comment, something that might have been said snidely or in jest, but certainly not some kind of detailed personal attack against you or anything that might warrant starting a holy crusade in private for the purpose of reestablishing your good name.
To my eyes this person is the victim, and you're harassing them. On top of the aforementioned unsollicited conversation, your manner of speech is overly provocative. Repeated uses of "lol" or any other words implying that you're laughing at them, as well as mentioning the boards... Again, those are either tactics one expects to see from a troll, or blurts from someone so mad with rage they try to fake amusement, but certainly not something anyone genuinely trying to have a discussion and clear up some misconceptions should do.
The final straw is you ignoring them right after saying something - and a question to boot! After you initiated the whole convo! Extremely hard to see anything in that but someone who can't deal with the potential reply and/or wants to infuriate the other person.
I don't know anything about you save for this thread. I won't claim you're a terrible person or anything. However, I would certainly avoid you ingame, because I'm simply not playing a video game to get into disproportionate and fruitless arguments with random strangers everytime I say something. I suspect some other people might feel the same way. -

I'll leave pointers for resistance capping to the Invul experts but I can see a few areas for improvement without having to lose unstoppable, here's a few ideas to play around with:
I'd strongly consider swapping Havoc Punch for Charged Brawl given what I hear about the DPA of each.
You could (inf permitting) replace that -KB enhancement with the Glad Armour +3% def global alongside Steadfast's, which would boost your overall defense. You've only got two pools selected so far so dropping Lightning Clap and Confront would allow you to pick up Maneuvers and Assault for a little extra defense and damage.
It may also pay to look at sets such as Reactive Armor and Titanium Coating for the possibility of bumping your defense numbers up. It's likely you can softcap defense with a few changes to your attack slotting combined with that and some extra powers. I'm not going to mess with your slotting there but the Soul Mastery pool from villain epics will give you Shadow Meld further bolstering defense and if you can live without Super Speed there's no reason with a little rearranging of levels you picked powers at that you couldn't take Vengeance as well. It's situational but Shadow Meld may not be needed alongside that as you'll hit the softcap either way, so perhaps consider another pool such as Leviathan Mastery for a nice panic button power. If you're not keen on villain epics then Blaze Mastery might be the way to go - it'll give you a ranged hold and then either Fire Blast for extra AoE damage or Melt Armor for an AoE -Res/-Def which in turn would make everything around you easier to kill effectively increasing your damage again.
Again, I'm sure there's a more economical way to cap out your resistances and defense which may let you drop Unstoppable entirely and free up even more options but I'll leave that to the guys with a bit more /Invulnerability experience. See if any of these inspire you or give a base to work from.
And to answer THIS! I ended up playing tank a lot with this character and it kind of evolved into THIS mess with the kb proc and thunder clap (i was using it as damage mitigation). Glad's are a bit out of my price range, mostly because dropping 2bil on one io's gives me the shivers. Purples, totally. And my aim, def and dmg. If i missed anytthing I'm still asleep.. heh -

Heh I vividly remember someone I was in the "From Below" trial with saying "oh daily maint is a normal thing and rarely takes more than 30 minutes", and me, being gone for a year, clearly said "You're kidding right, no really, WHEN have they EVER had a 30 minute maint, at the very least it's going to be two hours".
I win by default really, though for me it's been over two hours since then, I've watched four tv episodes, should have bet her something... -

The first reply he got was "Horrible, half of them are elitist pricks and the other half are freedom farmers". I was shocked that he said that, but also shocked that so many people believed it.
This thread is here to say Exalted is NOT like that in anyway shape or form. The server is new and taking it's babysteps, and yes there are some 'trolls' on the server (ie think they are special because they are VIP sever) but that is only the smallest minority of players.
I hope before judging a server you would check it out for yourself. You will probably be pleasently surprised. We have a great helpful community and many Heroes and Villians happy to team.
I am not asking one to main on the server, only that you don't judge a server by the word of a few trolls and will actually come and see for yourself that actually the server is not bad at all.
