Maybe somewhere between Neutral Evil and Chaotic Evil, then.

Quote:Don't forget that official TFs are held to a much higher standard than the average MA arc. And while the tools may be similar, the devs tools have an order of magnitude more options. If M.A. uses similar development tools as the rest of missions/TFs do, I'm not sure how much more time it would take to create a TF rather than a zone event.
Quote:However you are right; TFs do take some time to complete, but if the event were a TF it can be scheduled, where as a zone event you have to wait for it to start, then hope to find a team, something that is more difficult to do as the event gets older.
Also the event this year takes a bit more coordination from multiple teams, which can be both good and bad depending on who is leading. Having all the associated badges, merits enemies etc mashed into a TF with a fleshed out story would mean only one team needs to coordinate it's actions instead of several.
Yes, new TFs would be good, but that doesn't mean zone events should be excluded as an option. -
I would say that Rogues and Vigilanties are all some flavour of Neutral, even if they are just passing through onto the other side. Exact flavour would probably vary wildly.

I kinda do, but I also kinda don't, as they were most definitely deleted for a reason.

Very fast threadjack: 4e alignment system is one of my main gripes with it (admittedly, I have very few gripes with 4e).

I think that TFs take much more development time, as well as generally a lot more time out of the players day. Invasions take around 20 minutes, but a TF can take anywhere from one to three hours on average (speed runs excluded).

Damn, I wish I had thought to use the name "Ornithopter". One of my favorite Magic: the Gathering Cards ever.

Yes, but it fits more than it doesn't, and trying to come up with something that fits everybody, all the time, probably won't work. I actually think it works better without having explanation, because that way it can let the players come up with their own story (maybe you stole it. Maybe it's your personal aerial vehicle disguised as an Arachnos flyer. Maybe you are just borrowing it from a friend). I don't think the map needs to be changed just because of a lack of imagination.
-
Mebbe if they just mention you bribed someone in Arachnos to give you a lift?

It's not really a mechanic that makes sense in City of Heroes, though. Both in that it doesn't mesh with the general playstyle, and also because it really isn't part of the Superhero/villain mythos. Closest we could come is a fisherman day job.
-
I generally don't bother signing my +reps, but on the rare occasion I -rep instead of just saying what I want to say in the relevant thread, I sign it.
-
It's pretty easy to do, when all the new posts rise to the top of the forum.
-
The point he was trying to make is that things like "fishing" and "mining" for resources are mechanics that are completely extraneous in City Of Heroes.
-
Obsidius does, obviously. Or he wouldn't have made a thread about it.
-
I.... kinda get what you are saying, but I have no idea where you are going with it.
Also, it looks like I missed a hell of a party in here. -
No, you are not.
-
It's still a far more official opinion than the any other that can be brought into the argument, except maybe the developers of the forum software.

If they do let us keep it, it should share occurrences with the zombie invasion, so the zombies happen half as often and the supernatural stuff takes up the other half. It'd be something different, at least.

Quote:You got off damn lucky to pay that little at a pub, compared to the prices around here.I agree with Kali on this one. As far as entertainment goes, this game is probably as cheap as it's going to get for me. $15 a month isn't LITTLE money in my country, but compared to everything else... Let's just say I'll blow away more money if I went to the movies twice or to a bar a few times. In fact, I made the mistake of going out to a couple of pubs in the UK once, and I ended up spending TEN POUNDS. By today's estimate, that's $15 in a single evening, and it wasn't actually all that enjoyable.

Your whole post had a great "back in mah day!" vibe going there, Sam.

I dunno, I like the Supernatural Activity better than the zombie invasions, personally. Zombie invasions are kinda boring after a while.
