The default colour scheme is okay, but I think it'd be nice to not always have the same person staring out at creation. It just isn't very inspiring.
The costume randomizing is a good idea, just think different skin colour would go well with that. -
Oh, forgot to say this before. Really liking the idea of themed packs instead of straight up costume sets. Tastes like flexible.

On my empath (and first character past level five, first fifty too) I skipped adrenaline boost because I couldn't use it on myself and I wanted a cool looking attack instead.
...deep in my heart I don't feel that bad about that, BUT I UNDERSTAND WHY IT WAS BAD.
She has a rather nice build now. -
Realizing that turbans were a nebulous sort of clothing item to me (I knew that some people wore it religiously, but also women in the swingin' decades used to wear it as a fashion item), I looked it up. GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE. It is just a religious item for some groups, not every group.
Actual mythological things: Non-valentine winged sandals, winged helmets, non-valentine togas, moar crowns and tiaras, gem-using stuff for mythological power items of clothing. -
Quote:Yeah. It's not fair to totally cut off some cultures/ideas just because of the possibility of someone doing something bad. That'd be like denying waterblast to everyone because of the people who've made blood and urine blasters. The truth of the matter is nothing is safe. Anything the devs put out could be used in a derogatory matter. Just because you, me, or little Johnny can't think of a way, doesn't mean that the guy across the street can't.
The whole excuse of "But so-and-so could be used in an non-politically correct manner" is getting so old, and possibly preventing so many perfectly valid additions to this game that I am getting completely and utterly sick of it.
I know you weren't reasoning as such, but I'm sure someone in this thread is bound to. -
Quote:Also, it was a popular fashion item in the twenties or thirties, I can't remember which.Turbans are common in desert areas where people are trying to keep the sun off their heads. I suspect you have never been to a desert or seen a movie about people in the desert or read a news article about people in the desert...
Either that or you are deliberately not including the valid use of a turban that has nothing to do with religion. But you couldn't possibly be disingenuous on the internet. That never happens! -
Quote:"I've heard tell of this hat in the tales to scare small children. But it isn't real. It can't be real!"Mythological's probably a bad word to use for this. It's very vague, and I'm pretty sure fezzes aren't a myth.
"Oh how little you know. BEHOLD THE FEZ!"
"Nooo!" -
Quote:Phipps is so horrible that he's the one arc I refuse to do.You're overlooking the obvious.
If you think evil is best defined by hurting a single individual or someone and their family, Phipps has it covered.
If you think that evil is best defined by destroying hope, Phipps has it covered.
If you think it's more about the intent, he has it covered.
If you think it's more about results, he has it covered.
If you think it's about taking joy in inflicting hurt on others, he has it covered.
If you think that it's all about ruining or destroying the lives of others, Phipps has it covered, or can't do it but does as much as he can.
He's like the friggin Batman of villains. He's not superpowered (or maybe he is) but uses the appearance of poverty to lure in the weak, helpless, and desperate, and maximize the evil he can do.
In short, he hits the sweet spot in every single category.
Westin Phipps could never be given power on a scale of Lord Recluse because he'd USE IT. -

Signed because I like outcasts, and I like task forces. It'd be cool redside or blueside, or different versions/stories for both.

Quote:Oooh yes! A helmet with nails in it would look pretty cool. But if that's extra work you can't spare, that's fine too (uh, not that you needed my consent I just mean EVERYTHING IS OKAY I LOVE YOUR WORK).And now on to something completely relevant - Dink, I have a question for you, and I hope you see this request amidst this... um. "Thread."
Any chance that the nail-mohawk could be used with Helmets / Half-Helmets? I would love to combine that nail-hawk with the HiTech Helmet, and maybe the hockey mask, too.
T'would be one of those cases of clipping the item on purpose - and looking at the nails as they are in this preview they may not be long enough. I know I'm asking to put more work on your plate - believe me if I could help I WOULD in a heartbeat - so I understand if this idea of mine doesn't see the light of, um, digital day.
But, it would be cool to have the option of helmet nail mohawks as well as skull nail mohawks. <grin> Either way, thanks for another stellar set of costume pieces - keep on rocking! -
You know how the carnival of shadows illusionists have those sort of brocadey patterns on their gowns? Could we get something like that for jackets or tops or skirts and stuff? It'd be good for making an a costume look formal/fancy/magiciany! It's be a great pattern to put on a detail layering over another item.

Well, I never succeeded. Oh well. Time to draw hamsters and penguins to cheer up.
EDIT: STRIKE THAT. I thought I hadn't succeeded 'cause I hadn't been timely for the last one, but I tried a code anyway in a 'may as well' and it worked! \o/
But the drawing the penguin and hamster fighting was still helpful to my general mood.

Still really hope they go on sale for other people though! -
I got the wisps aura through the original way and I know I wouldn't mind at all if more people got it. More things for more people is my philosophy - nothing is diminished by sharing in my eyes. I like people to have as many tools as they can to create awesome costumes for me to look at.

Quote:dangit! I'd given up and gone to empty the dishwasher. Well, congrats to whoever got one!

I would much like that. There's so many possibilities for it! Especially since I have a few characters of Kirby-ish ilk that'd look great with that around their fists or heads.

Quote:Oh, I would like that very much.Show of hands - how many people would be OK with "painted-on" clothes and masks being turned into actual separate 3D meshes that apply as details AND NOT parts of the base texture? I actually wouldn't mind, because this retains the utility of "painted-on" clothes, in that you can apply them over a variety of base textures, but it also stops them looking like paint.

This makes me sad. I hope they put them up on sale, I'd really like the dots aura, I was just so worried about getting it via the tweet code thing because they might not.
