Like most say here..the problem is that people see them as blasters. corruptors are just very strong...Just that some of the sets which run around now a lot are very strong to counter them (ice blasters...spine scrappers..fire/kins)..and indeed...ice/kin is strong..and sonic/dark..but that are only the 2 ''more known'' combo's...you ever fought an ice/rad in sirens or a ice/cold fire/thermal in warburg..They can floor any non squishi if they play it right...one of the best warburg pvp'ers I know is a thermal cause if you don't kill him in 2 shots you can say goodbye to your damage and endurance..just use your brains a bit right and you got 1 of the better pvp AT's

spines got a pbaoe and 2 cones both bein very good damage compared to most cones..ninja blade has 2 cones and 1 pbaoe..if people mention ninja blade I never hear people talk about aoe *shrug*

Wrong, Ninja blade doesn't have a PbAOE power, it doesn't get lotus drops like katana.

Spines main problem as mentioned in the thread is it starts of very slow, after 26 the spines set really kicks off.

Suprised no one has mentioned impale animation time as a problem with spines, but hey its an uber range attack, so people forget

Oh yeah on another note about spines, apparently its fotm, so if you play it you have no skill its all the spines. /sarcasm

Nobody is forcing him anything, he's asking if its worth taking and people are giving him their opinions. Does stealth help? yeah it sure does especially against people with +perception. Inevitably he'll do better in PvP if he isn't seen, the challenge is still there, stealth doesn't mean he's going to be uber and own everything in the PvP zones. It will however make his life a lot easier. Stealth doesn't equal god mode, nothing does.

I can't believe what I see..people are almost forcing him to take stealth..where's the challenge..okay its a pain..and can be hard..but playing a troller against a regen/sr scrapper who crits shots you can be hard 2...go up for a challenge..decide if you want stealth or not yourself...I'd stick to the fact that it is NOT needed..its just if you want an easy time..

Golden Dragonfly is NOT a PBAoE, it's a narrow cone just like Headsplitter.

In fact, it's the Katana version of Headsplitter with slightly faster animation and recharge, lower end cost and damage.

Broadsword damage does more damage then katana..and not just a bit...katana has quicker recharge and smaller end costs in return...but since animations are working while other attacks are recharging the dps from broadsword is higher then katana...the cone stuff has been told already:P..and 432?...I'm happy if I reach 250 without build up at lvl 38 *shrug*

I would personaly get rid of the stealth powers for stimulant/aid self...mainly cause when you get your toggles on stealth aint gonna safe you..but that REALLY depends on your style of playing..

why does every constinuously bang on about fire have aoes, fire/ has 1 more aoe than ice/ and considering pvp blasting is mostly about secondary thats not really a problem

Great pve set if you got the endurance

Cons

Its relies on damage over time a lot..which aint only slower but also a big chance that you don't get it so your attacks will be weaker

One of the main single target damage attacks is a snipe..which can be a pain in fast pvp (even more in pve)

fire breath is more single target damage then fireblast:/..one of the attacks with poo animation..

Ice
Positive

SLOWS!!
Very nice damage
Quick animation
Quick recharge
Holds
Low Rooted attacks (tho more then fire)

Cons

Single target attacks can eat some endurance
High smash damage so lots of resist
No snipe against runners/flying enemies/safety

Overal I think ice is a bit better..but fire is a fun set and enjoying both my fire/thermal and fire/nrg

However EM AS is enough to take out a +3 minion without the need for BU so AS, BU+ET, placate and TF (with energy punch to finish) is the way to clear +3s in seconds.

Me and some mates respecced stealth out on purpose to make it more challenging and all still do fine..its a pain when you get ganked but in even numbers it isn't really a problem like people say..
