Only thing to consider is that theres no epic power set for the spiders. If you want something beyond your blood widow and fortunata/night widow stuff, you gotta go back to villian and get a patron.

The other thread on this issue has come to the conclusion there are 2 versions being patched. Seems to me that its the luck of the draw whether your updater gets the version that is in sync or the one that is not. My updater has switched its mind several times on me. Don't know enough about computers to know if the ipconfig command would do anything to encourage the game to find the alternate version.

Ya, I tried that line and my computer won't display the screen for more than a fraction of a second. My wife's comp (which is experiencing the same problem--sometimes good version, sometimes not) showed only 1 IP address, again for a few seconds, and then vanished. Not computer literate enough to know why I can't get this screen to just sit open.
Tried your IP address and nothing changed--tried with with all the other fixes simultaneously, and still nothing. Maybe the fix is more about waiting until you randomly get the right patch server, which is something I would have no control over. I'm sure they'll fix this...Monday. -
That makes sense to me. I was just about to say that it seems there are 2 different patches and my computer keeps switching between them. I'm gonna try your suggestion.
Edit: Followed directions, but my computer refuses to display addresses. What address did you use that found the right patch? -

And I'm having the same problems. Posted in the other thread on this as well. Was playing fine until 58 minutes ago when I had to log out and back in to find this. -
I waas playing fine after the servers went down and then back up--for about 4 hours. Then logged out and wanted to start a second game, and it downloaded a patch. And now it won't work. Didn't work when it downloaded a patch; won't work now. My wife's computer won't even download a patch. Get the same old answer each time.

I don't know if this is helpful at all, but I found I was quite happy when I set the bound for my alts at playing each powerset on each archetype. Because there's usually not the same number of primaries and secondaries, there's some overlap, but not a ridiculous amount... I think I don't have more than three of the same powerset on any one archetype. That's left me with 113 characters and a short list of maybe five or six that I still haven't made.
Also, to those suggesting the OP just keep playing the way he wants to, sounds like he's not happy this way. Hence the post. We don't need to urge the OP to play one way or another; that wasn't his inquiry. If he likes a suggestion, he'll take it and increase his game enjoyment. -
So, has anyone else noticed the huge number of rikti invasions? First we had the weekend and then...well, they keep coming and coming and coming, just like the invasion weekend, except its NOT an invasion weekend. I'm wondering if this means the invasions are now tied to some event (such as a player becoming an incarnate) or if its a subtle hint that something big involving the rikti is coming. SOmething like I20, perhaps? Any thoughts?

Great Arc! I loved the idea of taking on the role of the main contact--I think it worked much better than coming up with some reason for some side character to come along on the mission. Wish I'd thought of that approach myself

While I liked the comedic aspects and the rarely seen map, I was disappointed that there was no fashion show. Should have been simple (and fun, for me at least) to make some dudes in battle armor running around--easily could have made them the non-combat types. I think some stronger tie-in to the fashion show aspect would have made the mini-adventure worth looking at.

Just a quick question: do the vampyres produced by the coffin-like machines in "Return to Vamypre Mtn" count towards the badge? I know they don't give exp, but I can't tell if they add to your kill count.

Just to throw this in--if you want to find glowies easier, change the sound. There's a great post about how to do it. It's very easy and makes those things much, much, much easier to find. This is minor modification, so it might qualify as a "band aid" but it helps.
You know, a million years ago when i played WoW, I also used a few mods to make the game more enjoyable. Same with other games. I think, to me at least, using a few custom mods is part of playing an MMO, so I don't frown on CoX for needing a few. -
Ya, you're right. Dang. I keep hoping for some new power pools, especially some new travel powers. But, eh.

So, there's no offical reply thread in announcements, so I thought I'd comment of this here. A few weeks ago I asked what powers would replace fitness and everyone was of the concensus that we'd be one power pool less when it goes innate. However, the panel mentioned that it would be replaced by a new pool. This has me psyched by the possibilities--so, does anyone have an idea what the four new powers will be?

A couple of questions:
I'm thinking about putting the Defense Pet Aura on my ghost (toon is zombie MM). Will this aura affect my other pets? (zombies, knights, lich) Will the aura affect the pets of other MMs I'm partied with?
Also, I was hoping someone could explain what I can expect from the random reward rolls (what I would get at each lvl, potentially) for tickets and merits. I didn't see a guide on this--but if there is one, a link would be great.

So, after the interview questions regarding I19, I haven't noticed any new buzz. I was curious about a few things and wanted to know if someone has information I haven't found. Specifically...
1. When the fitness set becomes innate, how will this be handled? A mandatory respec for all characters with it?
2. Is there going to be a set to replace fitness, something else that boosts other stats like it does?
3. When Praetoria opens up to travelling back and forth, will lvl 1 Praetorians immediately get to leave if they wanted or will travel only be available at 20+?
Any news is appreciated. -

I think that is, or at least was, the default way to do that.
How does one set the map to empty? I had a similar idea (investigating an "empty" warehouse) but the editor says I need a default enemy group. How do you set it to empty/no enemy group? -

Because I can't spell Ourobous (sp?), I'll call it the time portal--that nifty yellow gateway you can start using at lvl 25 if you've earned it. I've read all through paragonwiki and looked at the forums on how to earn it, but it always points people to using tricks such as guildmates. My understanding is that you get access to it by completing an arc that is related to time travel. So my question is this:
What is the lowest level mission arc and who is the contact so I can earn the portal for each side?
