Good to have you onboard
. Some good stuff and plans coming up
.
-
Can't trade between heroes and villains at all afaik.
But I have spare salvage for your hero. Got your PM and replied. Whenever's convenient to meet and pick it up is cool
.
-
I'm looking for the stuff for Union villain characters though.
However I reckon I can sort your Defiant Villain some goodies. Being the season n' all.

*adds raised hand for needing this item*...
*Hopes Venty doesn't notice the cable running from the 'Legion generator through a suspicous hole in the wall...* -

Without breaking the forum rules, I can't say that I'm suprised.

Ditto.

Hi. Just taken up villanous alting on Union. I have a couple of characters I would love to get the extra costume slot for, but have none of the salvage for.
I was wondering of anyone has any surplus parts? I have spares to trade on Defiant if anyone is alting over the other way and happy to arrange a trade. I have Defiant hero and villain salvage available.
Thanks.

Hey Unionites
.
The Evil Echelon, a Defiant establishment of esteemed villanous gentlemen, and ladies, is proud to announce the grand opening of it's Union den of iniquity.
Basically a bunch of us, short on Defiant slots, have taken to villainous alting on Union, and are hoping to meet some active, friendly evil doers for teaming, mayhem and villainy, and perhaps the opportunity for coalition with active, friendly groups
.
We're also open to any currently groupless cads, bounders and ne'er do wells of any level.
We're laid back and friendly and big on content, teaming, badges, strikeforces and any other avenues of villainy.
Hello, and hope to see you ingame.

Marquand', when you say you were outnumbered, were you playing Hero or Villain, and how many other characters of the same faction were round?
[/ QUOTE ]
Memory may be a bit off but lets see.
By the time I got there it was maybe 4 or 5 heroes (2 tanks a blaster, a scrapper, and possibly someone else I forget or didnt see) and 3 villains including myself.
The blaster left and another scrapper came in, plus another villain turned up. So about 4-5 vs 3-4, but with only 2 people actively playing, both villains. I asked the other player if its always this bad and was told it was good earlier but some players have a knack of bringing the zone to a halt with chatter.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fair do's.
Teabreak time then. Defiant PvPers is a PvP Global channel and might be good for raising interest in a zone at any particular time or to ask who and what is PvPing in anyway.
I've had a great time on a couple of occasions in RV from it. Might help.
-
Er....
What?
Seems like there wasn't *any* flow happening in that zone to disrupt when this happened.
Marquand', when you say you were outnumbered, were you playing Hero or Villain, and how many other characters of the same faction were round?
Whenever there's a one faction outnumbering another, then things in Sirens DO tend to grind to a halt.
It isn't a FFA zone. People can't just decide to PvP each other if there's nothing from the opposite side to battle.
So maybe a bunch of people are twiddling their thumbs waiting for some numbers from the other faction to turn up?
I dunno, just the impression of things the way it was described.
I'm lost, entirely, why this is any problem at all.
Fairplay Marquand said it was just one of those things and its done and dusted eh? Move on eh?
Really though, what is all this chat police stuff getting to though? It's getting out of hand now.

Must look into this.

...our powers maxed as we can only have 1 Turbine Generator and 2 circuit breakers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, this is a ceiling you hit atm until/or you can go up to the plot that allows more than one function generator. There is of course this rumour of the next generator up, unlocked via PvP. I've not seen any apparent info at all on it.
Thing is, advanced databases are targetable. Until we decide firmly where we'll stand on raid scenarios, those databases are of no worth to us. I'll have to take another look at advanced database control too. I'd be very surprised something that costs so little in line with the sSuper Computer would produce double it's output at 1000.
-
Limited to 1500 Venty?
We got just about everything currently available running, and there's a hell of a surplus.
We are running verrrry close to capacity on actual energy tho'. I'm waiting to see if the rumoured SG badge for the next generator beyone the Turbine thing is going to happen. SG hours in PVP I believe. Can't remember where the source is on this info, but what it was stating at the time we're well in excess of in SG mode PVP hours and then some.
As I mentioned before, although the AI system costs 2 million odd, and the room required for us was 2.5, by the time we sold out the previous SG computer, extra databases we had, and the previous control room we were using the actual final expense was suprisingly lower than I had considered.
The AI system as far as I can tell thus far is non targetable too, which leaves the somewhat pricey generator as the outstanding risk for COP trials and subsequent raids.
Edit: Not sure about the auxilary thing (it's Friday. "Working" lunch and all that), but what other items are you really going to need auxilarry to the AI beyond the SG Mission computer?

Ceiling mounted sounds interesting - how much space doed it take up vertically?
[/ QUOTE ]
You can walk underneath it, it's kind of a load of electronic wizardry and video screens hanging down from the ceiling like a command centre. Problem is with the way bounding boxes work in the base editor at the present time, placing it means nothing else can be placed on those tiles. So it near enough writes off a whole control room if you wanted to place much else or decorate.
[/ QUOTE ]
Decorative items do fit underneath it. We have decorative items under ours.
It only takes, or only ,the SG mission computer as an auxillary item and that's easy enough to place in the room. -
[ QUOTE ]
It's been a while since i checked the stats but isn't it pointless?
I believe it produces the same control as the Supercomputer (or whatever the 2nd one u get is) and doesn't allow auxilary connections..
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope, the supercomputer, the previous device generates 500 control, the AI system generates a whopping 1500.
Thankfully it appears untargetabel,..if we were insane enough to run raids from our main base.
The smallest room in could fit it into was the 4X3. It takes up the length of the four as it is, so a very snug fit.
The room cost 2.5 million!
-
Sure it took the 3x3 appearing tile (will confirm later). It fits a whopping 2/3 of the room. You can slide some decorative stuff under it, which looks pretty cool.
-
It costs 2 million plus to place. It generates 1500 control.
It's a nightmare to actually place it too. It's HUGE. It does look very veyr cool though, and all that conrol is goingto cover our needs for quite some time.
The control room we needed to actually house it was, I think, the first square shaped one before you get to the secure versions and very expensive in itself.
If your base is running the Supercomputer already, you get the refund back on that and any previsou control room you delete for a new one. I think all in, after some handy cash back, putting the AI in, and the room to house it cost us about 1.5 million new expenditure.
I can get further details from it/about it when home and able to log in if wanted. -

Bab and states are melee and Id avoid meleeing them for too long as a corr.

Both of them have Hurl boulder and large radius AOEs. Zeus Strike has a really big area effect on it. The last fight is probably the most fast moving, hectic battle ingame. Not sure hover even 3 slotted will serve you as well. -
Short Circuit is better deployed retaining that End' Mod' slotting, Recharge and Acc' listed.
There's scope in Kin'/Elec' to make an endurance sapping monster through Short Circuit, Transference, and later Power Sink, if so desired.
Short Circuits end drain far out shines its damage potential.
-
I would say Power Sink is really a cornerstone to the powerset. End' drain is an awesome soft control.
The activation time really isn't all that in my experience, it certainly never presented me with any problems at all, and all the rewards to reap from the power far far outweigh that anyway. IMO a non issue at all. -
A non-stamina build was a bit of a Holy Grail I really wanted to pursue on my Elec' Brute, but I think on a Brute it really isn't particulary viable. I ran through a few versions of different sets and slotting and just couldn't make work at teh pace of play I wanted and the amount of aggro I wanted to take on.
I like to be a busy Brute and doing as much as I can wallopping everything in sighta and getting aggro. I have my armours very well slotted for end reduction.
I am using Tough and Lightning field a lot too, but even if toggled off, in protracted fights the build can start to dip dangerously low of endurance. Power Sink offsets this completely, but without the kick of Stamina there backing it all up, I can't see that the Brute will be anything but a staggering corpse of exhaustion.
Consider if you haven't already, Fitness, Fighting and Medicine for your pools on top of your travel power.
Running Tough and having Aid Self to hand will mean you can put nealy all other Burtes, and a lot of Tanks, to shame.
Build Up is fantastic. You'll learn how to chain you best atacks into the 10 seconds it's active. Lightning Rod and Thunder Strike couple up so well with it. Slot it for 3 recharge and it'll be a staple of all your attack plans
.
I use Thunderclap and while it is situational it is marvelous for mitigating aggro and buying a second to use Aid Self if you're taking huge amounts of fast DOT.
I noticed a massive spike in my Brutes surviveabiyt working Tough and Aid Self together and using 'Clap when things get really dire. Been pretty surprised with th amount of firepower the builds been able to withstand.

3 Damage/Range HO's locked and loaded. This change doesn't bother me much.
-
Cool, nice one.
Personally, I hate the idea of having to reset a mission because it didn't work out right. So I don't really subsribed to any "pulling" theories for this mission.
Out of interest, where in the order did you take down Positron? TBH on our run I think the consensus was he was the toughest to take down and I think we'll tend to leave him way down the order. That was at level 54, tho' I don't really imagine there's so much noticeable difference in one level.
Agree about the Vindicators. If they can't be taken down in one fight, without any temps, it's a pretty accurate measure that the final fight isn't going to be very acheivable.
Encouraged by your success without Nukes, we'll be having a crack ourselves too. It'sall good news to anyone wanting to take their character on this event and not worry so much about being a particular AT. -
Grats, nice going
.
Care to share a summary of the team make up and how that last fight went down without nukes?
-
An epic battle with many memorable incidents, and lots of fun
. Great PVP and nice atmosphere. It was awesome to see RV played the way it really should be.
