Autonomous Expert System?
It appear in your crafting worktables - basically its a device that will generate lots and lots of control but is fairly pricy.

It costs 2 million plus to place. It generates 1500 control.
It's a nightmare to actually place it too. It's HUGE. It does look very veyr cool though, and all that conrol is goingto cover our needs for quite some time.
The control room we needed to actually house it was, I think, the first square shaped one before you get to the secure versions and very expensive in itself.
If your base is running the Supercomputer already, you get the refund back on that and any previsou control room you delete for a new one. I think all in, after some handy cash back, putting the AI in, and the room to house it cost us about 1.5 million new expenditure.
I can get further details from it/about it when home and able to log in if wanted.
Oh thanks. I'll have to give it a look. I think our control room is stretched to its limit with mainframes at the moment.
I think it needs the 3x2 Control Room to place it, but I'm not sure - not got that far yet

Possibly bigger, I've seen the thing on the test server and it took 2-3 control room replacements before I found a plot that fit the damn thing, it fixes to the ceiling and near enough fills the entire room.
Sure it took the 3x3 appearing tile (will confirm later). It fits a whopping 2/3 of the room. You can slide some decorative stuff under it, which looks pretty cool.
Ouch. It had better have a VERY big control output then.
It's been a while since i checked the stats but isn't it pointless?
I believe it produces the same control as the Supercomputer (or whatever the 2nd one u get is) and doesn't allow auxilary connections..

Nope, the supercomputer, the previous device generates 500 control, the AI system generates a whopping 1500.
Thankfully it appears untargetabel,..if we were insane enough to run raids from our main base .
The smallest room in could fit it into was the 4X3. It takes up the length of the four as it is, so a very snug fit.
The room cost 2.5 million !
Ceiling mounted sounds interesting - how much space doed it take up vertically?

You can walk underneath it, it's kind of a load of electronic wizardry and video screens hanging down from the ceiling like a command centre. Problem is with the way bounding boxes work in the base editor at the present time, placing it means nothing else can be placed on those tiles. So it near enough writes off a whole control room if you wanted to place much else or decorate.
Hmmm, control boost, but lack of decorating options - not the sort of choice I like to make with my base

hmm, questions:
how much does the AES cost compared to the super computer?
I assume you can have 2 supercomputers in a room assuming the room/base supports it?
Whats the name of the smallest primary comntrol device? I forgot

For those of you that are interested, I did a search on the US forum and found a screen shot of the AES (with decorative items underneath).
This badboy costs 2mil prestige, smallest room it will fit in is the 3x4 control room, takes 2500 power to run (ouch), and generates a massive 1500 control.
Edit: The Supercomputer costs 1.5mil, and can fit in much smaller control rooms. So even though its only 500k cheaper, the fact you have to increase the room by so much means its actually considerably cheaper.

Decorative items do fit underneath it. We have decorative items under ours.
It only takes, or only ,the SG mission computer as an auxillary item and that's easy enough to place in the room.

Does it not depend on how low/high your floor and ceilings are?
I'm still thinking its better to use 2 supercomputers due to the number of aux items that can be attached...

That costs an additional 1 million prestige straight away, and produces 500 less control... False economy.
depends how much control you need i suppose as obviously the autonimous whatsit is limited at 1500.
Not sure what we need, 1 supercomp and 2 advanced data basees at the moment, will check em out when im home but yeah you have a point.

Limited to 1500 Venty?
We got just about everything currently available running, and there's a hell of a surplus.
We are running verrrry close to capacity on actual energy tho'. I'm waiting to see if the rumoured SG badge for the next generator beyone the Turbine thing is going to happen. SG hours in PVP I believe. Can't remember where the source is on this info, but what it was stating at the time we're well in excess of in SG mode PVP hours and then some.
As I mentioned before, although the AI system costs 2 million odd, and the room required for us was 2.5, by the time we sold out the previous SG computer, extra databases we had, and the previous control room we were using the actual final expense was suprisingly lower than I had considered.
The AI system as far as I can tell thus far is non targetable too, which leaves the somewhat pricey generator as the outstanding risk for COP trials and subsequent raids.
Edit: Not sure about the auxilary thing (it's Friday. "Working" lunch and all that ), but what other items are you really going to need auxilarry to the AI beyond the SG Mission computer?
How much control does a advanced db give?
We've got 11 tpers one raid tper all the beacons, 8 turrets and 32 damage boosters and 5 res points with 10 attached robo surgeries, a combat log and floaty robot thing.
We need at least one advanced db (1000 control?) tho may get away with the AES if we reduced the stuff in the med bay.
But yeah, we have plenty of control expansion (with the SC allowing 10 aux's) but our powers maxed as we can only have 1 Turbine Generator and 2 circuit breakers.

That and the size of the decorative items, think a test server experiment in cost vs. reward for both the AES and a 2 supercomputer with aux setup is probably something worthwhile doing.

Yep, this is a ceiling you hit atm until/or you can go up to the plot that allows more than one function generator . There is of course this rumour of the next generator up, unlocked via PvP. I've not seen any apparent info at all on it.
Thing is, advanced databases are targetable. Until we decide firmly where we'll stand on raid scenarios, those databases are of no worth to us. I'll have to take another look at advanced database control too. I'd be very surprised something that costs so little in line with the sSuper Computer would produce double it's output at 1000 .
cant remember what the actual value is mate.
I do know that the advanced database costs 10 times as much as the basic and offers 10 times as much control..
Is there and advanced circuit breaker? I've never seen one but it would fit in with advanced versions of other things..

/e hmmmm's and scribbles notes...
Must look into this .
My SG unlocked this last night, and I was wondering what the thing actually is. Presumably it's another [censored] defensive doodad, since it doesn't show up in any of the other categories (we have no defensive rooms, so I couldn't tell for sure).
Can anyone shed any light on what this thing actually does?
