Yep, 3 SO's of recharge pretty much make it perma. Double stacking however, requires much more recharge.
-
I am also having an End issue on my Level 32 INV/SS. I have 3 slotted Stam, and all my attacks are 1 Acc, 3 Dam, 1 End red, Toggles all have an End Red. I'm sucking down blue pills every chance I get, even combining others into blue when I can. Is this something I just have to live with until Conserve Power and Phys Perf? I hope not, because the character just isn't fun to play when I need to rest every other mob set.
-
So which would you say is better, since it sounds like you've played them both?
-
Hello,
So I have a character concept for a Brute, and its either Claws/WP or DB/WP. Ive never played either set to very high, but I have literally built/delete/rebuilt the character both ways 2-3 times, playing it to 10ish before getting wishy washy.
Pros for Claws to me: Ranged attack, Spin > Typhoon
Neg for Claws to me: HATE Eviscerate animation, which is my most damaging attack, T9 seems meh
Pros for DB to me: slightly cooler looking animations, seems like it would do more damage
Neg for DB for me: 1000 cuts animation, missing chains
So I thought to ask the experts here, which one is better?? Can Claws do solid ST damage without Evic? Do people just ignore chains? How useful is Shockwave? Are they pretty much in a dead heat and I should just pick one and be happy?
Thanks! -
Hello!
Im looking for some advise on the difference between Scrappers and Brutes. They fill pretty much the same niche, melee DPS, and I know Scrappers do a bit more damage while Brutes have a bit better survivability. Is the difference noticeable?
Im looking to make a Katana/Willpower character, and Im torn between starting now with a Scrapper, or waiting for I21 and Brutes to get it. Opinions? Also, should I spam out Kinetic Combats and such and get to S/L soft cap without DA, or is it better to build for F/C/E/N defense and let DA handle the L, fearing only S only damage types? I lean towards straight softcapping, since it would allow me to use another attack in my chain instead of DA.
Purpose of the character is for all levels, from lowbie 10-20 exemping down, to incarnate trials if that helps. -
Is this open for anyone? I'd hate to show up with a newly created character only to be the only person not 50.
-
Greetings,
I'm thinking about making a DM/WP brute but have a concern. I am used to playing sets with good AoE, do you find the lack of one in DM to be a detriment in solo/team play? I know I can get one from PPP, but that's 40+ levels in.
Thanks! -
OK did some tweaking on the order and replaced those duplicate set bonuses, Thanks CMA.
Where in MIDS do you see where you overlapped on set bonus, or is that just something the player needs to track?
Regarding the IO levels, would it be better for me to sell off my top level IO's and try for the lower ones? I have a slew of level 40 Reactive Armors from AE tickets I got on my first 50. I'm also using AMerits to fund some of the more expensive IO's, playing 2-3 characters getting tips and such gets me 3-5 AMerits a week, which isn't bad for acquiring the LotG and such.
Here is my updated build. Thoughts?

OK, given that I don't have extra slots floating around, what would I replace Unstoppable with? I don't really want to pull from Health since I like having over 300% regen, but I could be convinced if the benefit is superior.
Thanks again -
Thanks for the input so far, I'll answer the questions as they came up.
UberRod: I actually pulled slots OUT of RPD since I was already capped on S/L resistance. Being level 28, I already have my taunt aura, so I'm ok with my aggro management (I love punchvoke)
Hyperstrike: It is a little bit of both build, I'm leveling it up now, and hae generic IO's, so I guess it would be an end game build, but as a rule I make a whole powers worth of IO's before I swap them in so I don't suddenly have 180% damage enh and only 10% acc. I did read those guides as part of my research. Lack of Hasten is really laziness on my part, I dislike having too many powers I want up all the time, so in my current build I can toss up Rage on autofiring, and focus on aggro managment and playing. I have found with other characters, that I generally lose track of keeping my buffs up and get lost in the carnage, lol.
I like having that OhS#!t button of unstoppable to fall back on, not always needed, but nice to have when you do. -
Sinister, why do you say traps? What combo's well, or nifty tricks can it do?
-
Hello fellow Corrupters!
I have recently returned to the game and seek you advice. I want to make a Fire/xxx Corr, but am having a difficult time deciding on a secondary. I lean toward Dark or Rad, since I'm moderately familiar with them from before I left, but I'm open to just about anythingb(not a fan of bubblers. too much work keeping everyone bubbled)
I'd like it to be both team and solo friendly, and would prefer not to be a heal bot ( I know it's a playstyle, not an AT, but if I can take 3 heals, I generally do, and fall into that trap.)
Anyway, please share your experiences with Fire/xxx characters and offer up some advice to a new member!
Thanks! -
Hello Tankers!
I've recently returned to the game and decided to give tanking a try. I figured since this was my first tank to go with one of the most tried and true combo's, Inv/SS. I'm slowly creaping up on the point where I can start adding IO's to my build and figured I should set up a build. I did a bit of reasearch on the forums and think I came up with one I like.
Rules: No purples or PvP stuff. I'm not super rich, but I can get most nice/QoL things for a few Alignment merits.
Flight has to stay for concept reasons.
Not a fan of Hasten, so if can be avoided, I'll be appreciated.
Thanks!

Does the Kin's KB powers send them far, or does it revert to KD against tougher foes? I am wary of sending them flying when I have a weak taunt aura already.
-
I should probably add, I'm intrigued with Dark Melee and Kinetic Melee the most, since neither was a tanker power back when I played last. Stone, hmm, hand't really given that set a lot of thought, does it still look like poo (though I may be thinking about the armor...)
-
Hello!
I'm looking to make a Tanker, so I thought this would be the best place to ask for advise. I want a Willpower Tanker, but I'm having trouble with the secondary. I'm not a fan of redraw, so that makes me shy away from Axe/Mace. I have a Fire scrapper and a Super Strength brute, so those are lower on my list as well. I've looked on the forums, and everyone seems to have shyed away from Willpower recently, has it been nerfed, or are there just newer and shinier baubles to be played with?
Basically, my question, is what subset goes well with Willpower. This is for all levels and purposes, not just a 50 TF runner or something. If you could give reasons why you chose what you did, that would be nice too.
Thanks! -
I've been working on a FM/SD build, and have to chose between Grant Cover for the DDR bonus, or Stealth for concept.
Is the DDR from Grant Cover necessary to really shine in the end game? I'll be Def capped in all positions, but that means nothing if 2 gunners can shred my def in a couple of shots while I take out their Boss/LT's.
Thanks!
