Given the choice between enabling leechers and punishing people who actually are contributing to a Trial I'll go with enabling every time. This is a great change!
  2. Is there going to be a Tuesday TF tonight?

technically they are not supposed to stack from same caster but if you zone it will stack cause the game loses track of who applied the buff when you enter a new zone
I always assumed that was a bug they never fixed.

    He doesn't have that yet?!

I'm sure you can swap out pets, but I doubt you'll be able to have more than one type out at once.

Sounds like you'll have to grind up for the new pets from this line: Summoning these new pets requires crafting new Incarnate abilities.

What's turning you off about the game, Penny? The increased focus on Raiding over regular content?

The Keyes Trial moves us closer and closer to For Reals Raiding, and I don't think I would mind as much if I wasn't compelled to run Trials over and over again to unlock and slot the Incarnate Powers (which I do enjoy). As it is only my DP Blaster has all four powers unlocked, and I'm not even close to getting T3s across the board. If Threads and Incarnate Salvage came through normal play (and getting to pay ONE BILLION inf doesn't count) I'd be a lot happier with the system.

I'm torn on the new costume/aura stuff. On the one hand, I love new costume/aura stuff, but on the other hand I'd actually rather pay $10 for it than have to waste in-game resources that should be going toward Incarnate crafting.
  8. This is an amazing half issue, but I'm sure all Kins will miss hearing SPD BST PLZ! every five seconds now. Please, won't somone think of the Kins?!
  9. Cole is bi-WINNING, he's WINNING in Praetoria and he's WINNING in Primal Earth.
  10. I'll be on tonight. Let's get excited, Isos!

    The Event Finale

The Event died a death by plodding storyline. It took forever for anything to happen until the very end.

Well, she is a brunette IRL.

Harry Lloyd actually had me feeling sorry for Viserys in a way I didn't when I read the book.

My favorite scene? Tyrion tossing the bag of gold to Mord.

I second this. I tried the Victorian Top hat on my blue-haired hero, and when I make the mustache blue it just looks ridiculous.

  15. It's not like publishers exist solely as gate-keepers or taste makers. Publishers exist to make money, and they do this by finding good authors that write popular books, and then they do the work of designing, type-setting, and having a printer print the books, and doing the marketing for them.

Once an author is established enough, then they don't really need a publisher and could self-publish without any issue. I have no doubt Steve King and Tom Clancey could self-publish and still make piles of money. For authors like that, publishers are willing to pay them enough so they don't resort to that route (although I think King has done that with e-books, at least).

I don't think most people care if a work is self-published or not, but they do want to read good books available at the places you can usually buy them (bookstores, online bookstores, kindle, etc.), and most of those will be published, at the moment.

I'm very pleasantly surprised and always look forward to more scenes with him.
It's unfortunately you first saw Dinklage in a paycheck job. Definitely rent The Station Agent, like mousedroid said. He's done Shakespeare (Richard III), and he was great in the single season of Threshold. Dinklage is an amazing actor, and he was born to play Tyrion Lannister.

  21. I hate that bug, but I get it from time to time with my ATI Radeon HD 5800. Updating drivers doesn't seem to help.

Hitting /reloadgfx clears is up every time, though. Sometimes I need to do it twice.
