Quote:Good googly moogly did I misread the post I was referring to.......I thought you said a lot of tank you know have trouble with alpha. Looking back at the post I have no idea why I read it that way. Time to take my meds..............Why's that? I don't know any Tankers that lose sleep over an alpha attack. The only people that worry about those are Blaster, Controller, or Defenders.
I know that which is why I mentioned itin the first place, but in truth I still don't think I would ever slot the proc because the damage is not that impressive to me.
-
Each his own indeed.
Although I might recommend finding new tank friends. -
Quote:Well with ED your Acc or Dam won't be that big of an improvement either, though. That's fine, but I personally think the proc is a waste unless you are a person that solos primarily. If you team even 30% of the team its pointless because your teammates will defeat whatever Phantom Army would be attacking, excluding Monsters and Archvillains. In my opinion accuracy and recharge are the best things to slot in Phantom Army.
The damage that the proc provides is not impressive nor is the 16% chance for it to fire off for each decoy.
Personal preference, not saying anyone is wrong for doing it, but if I did it I would feel like I was wasting something.
Currently my "proc'd" PA does:
Dam 91.3
Acc 94.9
Rech 91.2
End 21.45
Swapping out for the dam/rech purple will net you higher numbers but due to our evil mistress, it really won't make that huge of a difference. As I said in another post the proc won't make or break you. It's neat, not necessary. But I'd also not describe it as a waste. Being someone that teams, that extra 5 percent or so of damage I could eek out won't change my contribution one bit. It's great that PA does damage but for me they are merely a distraction-control meat shield. Personally, I had the two purples sitting in storage and I wanted the 4% recovery. And while I can't do 95% damage I can do something that I normally can't: buff my PA. Neat, but not necessary. -
Quote:Even with the proc you are over 90%.I am not talking about a difference in reference to ED though. My statement in reference to recharge in general. My build is slotted for global recharge so having perma-PA is my main focus. That last part was just a little bit to add on to what I had said previously.
As for ED slotting I think anything 90% or more is suitable, but then again thats just me. -
The thing I see right from the start, is pretty low accuracy in powers without any accuracy set bonuses. I know you have freezing rain, but I'd still want more accuracy all the way around than is in the build. Unless you're only interested in fighting even cons or lower with it.
-
Maybe they feel sorry for them?
If its a meleer and they are herding maybe you are starting a bit too soon? Can't think why anyone wouldn't want kd unless its timed poorly. -
Lets be honest you can be both with one build. It's not like you can really add anymore aoe healing to a build, so what do you do with the other power choices?
You want to be a good support character? Focus on your primary (so fewer heals are needed) and your secondary (so you use them when they are really needed) -
Quote:I think it's probably fair to guess that they aren't putting the time that the typical die hard arc writer does. They are guests. I don't see it as an opportunity to have the worlds best arcs created, I just see it as a chance for professionals in and around the CoH/comic world to do something for their fans or readers. It's a neat treat but shouldn't be taken so seriously. They aren't in their medium afterall.
If this guy is really the awesome writer people say he is, then it's pretty obvious that he threw this together in five minutes and put about zero effort into it. -
Quote:Yes but the difference in recharge is like 2 minutes 2 seconds or 2 minutes 6 seconds. I've run across few scenarios where that 4 seconds is make or break.(numbers aren't exact...just to make the point that the difference due to ED is fairly small at that point)
There are a lot of ways to slot PA, but the one that keeps them up the most often is the best way to slot them.
Quote:Are you guys with the chance for build up slotted finding that it is very effective ? -
I Want a Pony (Inv/mace tank) 42-50
Quillowatt (Spines/Elec scrapper) 21-30
Caracara (Rad/Arch def) 21-23
Obviously the focus of my 2xp weekend was Pony, I played the others when no friends were on or tfs weren't available. It was a great 2xp outside of leveling in that I got to see a few old friends back via reactivation. Hi Grace! -
Expedient Reinforcement Acc/Rech, Acc/Dam, Acc/Dam/Rech, End/Dam/Rech combined with Soulbound Allegiance Acc/Dam/Rech, Chance for Build Up.
This is what I have in mine currently. -
Tonight my tank (yep, you heard that correct, Severe) I Want A Pony dinged 50! Big 2xp thanks to the peeps that joined me on a few ITFs this weekend and as always to my SG mates and Coalition and all my Guardian friends. This makes at least one 50 of the core hero ATs.
-
Goodness, I use it every spawn. Its a great power, is perma with the default slot and it looks cool.
-
2 edit- Dark/Shield scrapper and SS/SR brute.
Don't know. edit- About to get working on a build for my Mace/WP tank and see where I can take it.
No, but rutabaga does. -
Quote:Mind/ does lack dmg since it only has three damaging attacks which are all ST(Dominate,Levitate,Mesmerize). It does, however, have Mass Confusion to make the enemies dmg themselves. Unfortunately that you don't get anything out of it if they kill each other and you don't dmg them. I suppose slotting dmg procs into Mass Confusion and Terrify could up the AoE dmg. In the end it will still come up lacking in the dmg department since it sacrifices dmg for control.
I'd say if you are looking for dmg then go with the blaster but if you want good control with decent ST dmg then go with the troller.
Terrify does damage. -
Oh look a dead end and a bunch of enemies in between. What to do? What to do?
Yeehaw! It's a CoH round up! Stun, Immob, push, lightning, nado, laugh. -
If I remember on Silverado's AV attempts he doesn't use insp or temps.
-
Was running my Ill/Cold last night and noticed I had to give them a "more than normal nudge" to get them to fight. Same on my Ill/Therm.
-
You know I kind of noticed some lag the other day on mine. I just chalked it up to dual boxing but I'll have to see if there is something there later.
-
This isn't a rant or criticism, but I'm not sure I understand the question. You are level 46 and you don't know what to do with an earth/storm? Or are you just looking for some "polishing" advice? And why wouldn't you continue with it? Are you having troubles with it?
More information about what you want would be great. -
You heard it here first, new burrowing travel power to be in Going Rogue!
It's still a little buggy.
