  1. Giving up on Chuck?

Last season was so good. Wow.
  2. Trilogy of Terror

    Scar them for life too.
  3. OP, you do know if you take dispersion bubble you'll not only have a BIG bubble around you, but you'll also have a little one around you? So if bubbling other people looks annoying to you, I'd assume that one actually around you would be doubly annoying. I"m not really sure how teammate bubbles is annoying (appearance wise) to the caster.
  4. Yeah but from 100 feet you're a twisted mess; from 1700 feet you're a Jackson Pollock.

The coming storm won't be an invasion from Praetoria. That wouldn't fit with the broad allusions we've heard since. The "Coming Storm" that is alluded to seems to be affecting the whole multiverse... seems to be akin to things like the "infinite earths" DC crisis. My guess is we're already seeing some of the initial effects of the storm ever since dark mirror introduced our dopplegangers.

Since this is a thread for baseless conjecture, here's mine for the "coming storm":

Whoever sets things in motion (a nemesis plot?) he may be inspired by Recluse's Victory and/or Project Destiny. In those, Recluse isn't satisfied with knowing that he wins on some other dimension, he want to bind that dimension to this one, bringing his victory here... colliding those dimensions and all their occupants together.

The difference here, though, is this is a "storm" of dimensions colliding into themselves... coalescing with primal earth. It will set off wars and struggles of epic proportion as reality itself twists and cracks to make room for conflicting histories and the myriad possibilities whittling down to one true reality. Some of our doppleganger encounters are from the earliest incidences... the worlds closet to our own starting to merge over... we're not "merged" with them due to our experineces in sidestepping outside the timestream / dimension hopping. Things will only grow more dangerous as the storm proceeds. Incarnates... spread across all these issues... will deal with these cosmic metaspace collisions. We're talking Issues 20, 21, 22+

After the multiverse crashes, one world will emerge. Mender Silos is trying to set things in motion to guarantee his desired outcome. Our mystery letter-writer (Tyrant?) has his own objectives. Their goal is to influence what this world will be- perhaps to be the gods that make the next world, whether benevolent or in malice. We fight for or against these parties to save what we hold dear or grasp at the power we want for ourselves... battling to the very last moment of existence... when all goes white.

At that point, a new city will emerge. Its past and present will be crafted from the remnants of the once-divided universes, and people will remember it as if it had always been that way... because it has. Parts will resemble Praetoria, Paragon, and even the Rogue Isles (all ultramoded) and its inhabitants will be us... and not. This begins CoH's equivalent of DC's "One Year Later" and Marvel's "Heroes Reborn"-- a reimagining of our world and the heroes within it. A universe that's not quite like the one we see as afterimages as we dream of battles that we don't really remember participating in.

It'll be a new city... and world... that's in desperate need of heroes, again. The City of Heroes will be over. Welcome to City of Heroes 2.0.
I like this. Nice ideas Chase.

Not really ripoffs, Bill. He was asked by DC to make a story using newly aquired characters from Charleton Comics, when he presented the story to DC they realized that if the story was told they wouldn't be able to use those characters in the future so they had him make "original" or homage characters for his original story.
  7. It's 4:17 pm and I'm posting my response in this thread, at that same moment it's 12:30 pm and I'm reading this thread for the first time while eating my lunch of a club sandwich, while at the same moment it is 11:00 am and I'm wondering what would be good for lunch.....maybe something with bacon.

    Insanity Trio?

    FRAD teams are sick powerful.
  9. Yackity Sax makes everything awesome.
  10. Pandora- music app
    Dictionary
Shazam- music app (analyzes songs you hear and tells you the artist and album info)
Red Laser- scans barcodes and gives you prices online and in stores in your area

I just got my iPhone last month and am loving it. And I was one of those that thought there was no way I'd get an iPhone. Until I started polling friends and researching. While I don't have any "Apple" hate I still do not care for iTunes one bit. But I'm getting used to it.

One way to do it is to communicate to the team what you are doing. An easy way to do that is set up a series of macros that explain your strategy . . . but remember, just because you want to play a particular way, that doesn't mean the rest of the team wants to play that way. Be polite and explain your strategy as a suggestion, not as a "Do it this way!"

  12. Ahh, yeah aoe sleeps do have a draw back to aoe happy teammates. If you have a fast moving team with lots of aoe potential you pointed out one helpful use....ambushes or over aggro. Another use is a set up for containment for terrify or one of your future aoe damage powers. Sleep them then YOU hit them with an aoe damage power so you get containment damage. The beauty of terrify is even though they are woke up they are now in another form of control.

It is though, a more helpful power solo or on smaller teams. It's still nice to have in your arsenal though even if you roll with steamrollers.
  13. I'm not sure I really understand what you're asking.

Plant/Fire is a fun blasty combo. Have you played around with fire mastery now that we have access to APPs? I'm seriously thinking of going that way with mine, but it will be hard dropping my lovely water spout.

    Ill/Storm

Damage in freezing rain is a waste IMO. Slot recharge first, then I'd do some def debuff and likely the -res proc.
  17. It's sleep pulses, so even if they are awoken, they can be re-slept rather quickly. It's pretty similar to spectral terror. The beauty of that power is it gives end back to teammates that happed to be in the patch.

Because when it comes to illusion and a lack of regular aoe containment setup, single target attacks are your main source for significant damage.
  19. Well then, snark won't get you much either. What do you want, someone to just post a whole build for you? We gave you some advice and tips; maybe adjust your build accordingly and let us see that.

You are a controller.......you ARE mitigation.
