  1. Not really LOL funny, but observational humor funny.

I'll echo one of the comments on Youtube: needs more accordian.
  2. Well, now you've underslotted lingering rad..........

Not crazy about choking clouds new slotting, I'd want more end reduction in there.

I like lingering rad to be 4-5 slotted, typically with 2 acc and 3 recharge worth of slotting. I think a 6th slot is a bit much and it's really not a good power to sink a set in. Pieces of a set, sure. I'd want at least capped end reduction and as much hold as I could get in. Recharge is pretty meh on it given it's a toggle.

I think you completely missed my point. Read the "We'll get over it." with a snarky sarcastic tone. Father Xmas claimed it would be a big ordeal in the south. My post agrees with what you are saying.
  4. And yes, I'm not a fan of the lingering rad slotting either.
  5. Synaptic Overload is underslotted and no way I'd wait until 30 to take it.

    We'll get over it.

Proud to be a southerner, the last stereotype that apparently isn't offensive to make fun of......

  7. People really need to stop fixating on xp lost. Confuse is a form of control.... and control is just another source of damage mitigation. They aren't attacking you or you're friends. The loss of xp only comes when you allow them to do more work than you. If you hold an enemy you don't wait for the hold to be over before you start attacking. You hold then pounce. Same goes for seeds. Seeds, immob, creepers, aoe's or reapply immobs for damage until dead.

It's simply just another form of aoe control.

    I'm one too. Clickers represent!

Its a prettier version of tornado (and actually looks more "tornado-like" than tornado itself). It's one benefit is that it does knock up and not knock back, so its a little less chaotic than tornado. I had it for a long time on my plant dom before I switched to an ancillary pool instead of my patron's.
  11. That was pretty awesome. Thanks for posting.
  12. On a recent Khan TF I had a person we'd picked up for the run send me a tell "Wow, you're shields are nice. They really helped, how did you slot them?" Standard slotting, don't be afraid to slottem and use em.
  13. Keep the ally shields? absolutely. Just as mules? Heck no. Frostwork is optional (IMO) but a nice buff.
  14. Oooooooooooooh, so now you like us again!
  15. I think some are for conceptual reasons some for things like hibernate given a lack of self heal. I did on mine for conceptual reasons and some game play (sleet +ice storm or blind+spectral wounds+ice blast) etc etc.

For incarnate I'm going cryonic (I have slotted the tier 1 already) judgment (a potential extra source for more aoe control in the upper tiers and its conceptual) and gravetic planned for interface. Can't remember if I had a specific destiny picked out yet or Lore.

Snowstorm is a nice single/two slot power and cause /cold doesn't have much going on on the active side of battles in the earlier levels snowstorm can be a nice contribution.

IMO it is also not needed in later levels as it takes too long to cast and because unnecessary with perma sleet. But up until that build point it has value in some situations. Ill is also a bit lacking in the aoe control department (or at least hard control) so the addition soft control of snowstorm coupled with spec terror is generally very sufficient for most encounters (again prior to high uptime of sleet).
Great points here. I don't have aid self (or any medicine) on mine and she's just fine.

I also just want to stress that I, in no way, was trying to say that Ill/Storm is somehow 'better' than Ill/Cold. I just wanted to stress that anyone who acts like Ill/Storm is somehow lacking or gimped is soooooooo wrong. That said, enjoy your Ill/Cold; it's quickly become one of my favorite characters.

And now its especially fun with cryonic judgement.
  17. Interface is one of the 4 new Incarnate powers that came with i20. It adds a particular debuff (or potentially two debuffs) to your damage powers. The Diamagnetic Interface starts as a too hit debuff but on a few of the branches it includes a chance for -regen. These debuffs can stack up to like 4 times (I think some even 5 or 6...not exactly sure which ones and when). My hero main currently has Total Radial Diamagnetic Conversion which is all -regen. Here is more information for you.

Even something like reactive with -resists and extra damage (fire) would make an Ill/storm even scarier than they are now. Don't let your friends fool you. Ill/Cold is an awesome team contributer and extra nasty on AV fights, but Ill/Storm is far from anything to sneeze at........one bit.
  18. Keep your troller and dump your SG. Anyone who thinks Ill/Storm is somehow weak doesn't deserve your attention.

(Only kidding, by the way........sort of.........kind of.......seriously anyone that doesn't understand the uberness of Ill/Storm doesn't know their controllers)

I have an Ill/Cold which I absolutely adore. It's not a killing machine like Ill/Storm, but its a fantastic team combo. Yes it has great buffs and debuffs, but not near the killing potential of /storm. Also you could be an AV killer pre i20 but epecially now with the -regen from diamagnetic interface ill/storm will be a fun anti AV build.
  19. And so another snowflake melts.

    /sad
  20. My villain main (Dark/Rad/Soul) has had it unlocked for a few days now and I can't decide which way to go for Destiny. I originally thought Clarion but wanted to see if there were any strong opinions as better fits.

And just for information I currently have Reactive T3 (75% fire dam proc) for Interface and Tier 2 or 3 Void Core for Judegment. Lore is still a ways off. The character is almost always teamed and rarely solos, but can. Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.

I have played plenty of MMOs where if you don't stay with the pack you never catch up.

A +3 toon is more attractive to teams than a +1, so if you don't have the T3s at least, you are in danger of being left out of future content.

    .
Well that would be true if i21 was next Tuesday, but it's not.
  22. I really enjoy the pure smashiness of Earth/Earth. I just wish there wasn't the overlap with earth mastery and there was a earth epic as I'd love an E3 dominator.
