I'm just being nosey - but I'm wondering which other power you have other than mental blast. Personally I couldn't imagine not having both will domination and telekinetic blast so wondered what you ended up with.

I play my Empath completely different to how anyone here is reconmending it really, i have 2 powers from Psi pool, and neither slotted beyond utility proc's.
I took Leadership Powers (all except Maneuvers), Hasten, SS, Recall and also Hurdle, Health, Stamina.
But then I have a regular team for it, so I dont need to worry about my DPS solo, since that would be a nightmare!
For me the concept of Absorb Pain used to seem really silly, but used at the right time, in the right situation its fine, I think I have faceplanted because of a bad use of it all of once, and it was my own dumb fault to be standing next to the Agro holding blaster at the time.
Its really up to you how to play your emp, my Fort is slotted for mostly ToHits for example, but this again is down to the dynamics of who I normally play with -
I have to say Mouse that I too find no real joy in going "pop" and making stuff go boom.
I play almost solely controllers, and with a level 41 Pure Empath Defender, vs any level of any of my trollers you can probably guess which one I find myself feeling more productive to the team with.
The only benefit defender primaries have over controller secondaries is in a few bigger numbers, and thats more than mid up for in our other mitigation tools (which I dont mind saying are better)
While I have never found a concept that really worked enough for me to play SOnic/Sonic Defender, I could indeed see myself playing a /sonic troller, Probably another Gravity, since i enjoy that primary so much.
Looking at the numbers, yeah the shields are identical, pretty much, but the sheer Debuff Res numbers of Sonic are good.
Heals are not needed, not with a good controller, so if you switched to a controller /sonic you may enjoy it more. Thne only real failing of sonic is that there is no -regen power, which is a very similar failing to FFs, and indeed Sonic Makes up for this failing in ways which FF does not.
on a mildly off topic note, I wish we had gotten /Cold on Controllers too, it would have made me so happy. -
I made a Zombie themed Zombies/Dark MM the other night (subsequently deleted as I didnt like the primary) called Carrie-Anne. Bit of a far flung pun, but i'm sure you can guess it.
I also think your guides misses out ryhms, which can be an excelent naming source also, see my Grav/Psi Dom, Amythest Mentalist, swish or what? -
imo Gravity runs the best damage, having played all controls except fire, to 30s.
Plus it has the massive advantage of having Propel, the best power in the game, or indeed, the world -
I have this amazing idea of a Grav/FF uber tank, on par with my Grav/Stormie plus an AV magnitude intangible power for dealing with pesky multi AV fights (STF) seemed fun.
I do regret deleting the Earth troller, especially after getting her to level 14 in a day for the omega TF, only to use a different character!
She weill be the first created when I can buy some more union slots -
My Earth Rad, until she got killed to make room for my Grav/FF was quite fun. I reckon I will play a Plant/Thermal with prolification, and wait for the next prolificaiton to play Earth/** since it was quite fun set to play.

Storm Summoning is a rounded Buff/Debuff/Heal set so its functionally very different form the extreme control base that plant ocntrol is based on.
Sure it arguably has 2 summons, but both are less damaging, and less useful than the one from control sets.
Plus look at it the other way, you share primaries with dominators, at its a dom primary.
I personally am stoked on this, like the OT I tried a Dom with Plant, but am not so fond of villains, and being used to a controller, found it annoying. So seeing a potentially great set slipping into the controller realm is great for me.
Unless an amazingly useful and synergetic power pool gets moved to secondary at the same time, expect a Plant/Kinetics from me. -
Ill be rolling a Stone/DB tanker and will happiyl join any of you going in Galaxy at 6, and the SG if thats going to have space.

I enjoyed Willpower with Electric on Test.
Electric Melee is my favourite sounding Brute Primary, but I have never been able to make a brute last. Willpower was fast and effective secondary in my eyes.
However it's lack of self heal may be a bit dubious later on. -
is it a level 50 respec? or a plan to play throughout?
For starters, you dont need a travel power as such, with Siphon Speed and Inertia Reduction available to act as pseudo-travel powers.
I took Greater Invisibility at level 8, when it is first available, pretty much nothing sees you until you want it to, highest stealth ranking in the game I believe.
Combine this with some clever applicaitons of Siphon Speed and you should be able to traverse the hollows with easy.
Siphon Speed also boosts your fly speed, so you may be able to get away with dropping Fly altogether, and just use a combination of SiSp, Inertia Reduction and Hover to get around.
SiSp without RechRed will also recharge before it finishes, so how many you have depends on how much you want it stacked I suppose.
I personaly dont rank Group Invisibility much, but that is more personal taste than anything. -

how about anything goes? we could all be an elite unit of Quantum Leapers (teehee) who just inhabit a random body when we jump time/dimension and then (pressuming you are DS/WP) its still your mind, so your will power, and your mind with the training for the blades.

He is, or was last time I checked in an Alliance linked to a SG I am in, so will keep an eye out and let him know he is thought of if he doesnt read the forums.
As for me, won't be able to make it I dont think, my laptop just won't be able to handle that kind of action, and I don't know when my PC will be fixed up -

I took the Stealth power on WS secondary purely because I'm aiming for Tri-Form, and no human form took my fancy, so I took the invis, figured it would be useful, though I'm assuming perhaps your refering to the Stealth Pool Powers, in which case I would have no idea...
However The Self Intangable Power may be percieved as useful (if PBs dont have one like WSs do) incase you need to make a quick, painless exit... -

I always wanted to get a blaster up to using MM since it sounded fun, but if it uses the same horrible gun animation I dont think i can be bothered -
just looked back on Paragon Wiki, patch notes from Issue 7 include this... i originally didnt think to look so far back as the guise I was using was Issue 7 apparently, but didnt mention the new positional additions.

Hey all, thinking of making a Ice Blast/Cold Domi
Now I have a query on the shields...Mid's lists the shields has providing defense to Melee, Smash and Lethal One Ice Shield, and Aoe, Ranged, Negative and Energy on the other shield...
but paragonwiki omits the Melee, AoE and Ranged from these.
Can anybody tell me which way it actually is? if Glacial Shield does only have Energy and Negative Defense, i can probably skip it.

Set Bonuses can only be in effect if the power they are solotted in is available.
Non Kheldians, this simply refers to exp,emplaring down and loosing the power... but with Kheldians it also applies to from shifts, since your Nova powers are unavailable to use in Human or Dward, those bonuses are not applied in Human or Dwarf.
Your recharge time being slower is probably due to spending less time in a form with the Set Bonuses in. Only Set Bonuses in the Dwarf Form, and Nova Form toggle will apply at all times, meaning with the right +res set in Dwarf you can permanently be at -5% recharge... everything esle will depend on the form you are in at any given time.
So if you intend to spend your time in Nova, slot your prefered Set Bonuses in there, or if your gonna be in Dwarf, slot your prefered set bonuses in those powers instead. -
But what if they want to, or aimed to play as a scrapper, with tank powers, and dont really want to Tank?
And then theres the issue I found on my tank, its great picking mostly armours and having 1 attack, but what happens at the (many) occasions when a team isnt going, or your not wanted on one?
I myself took extra attacks than I intended at lower level, just so I would have something resembling an attack chain for solo.
