What sticks in my mind the most is the memory of the SG Base's Hollows Transporter letting you off at the bottom of Grendal's Gulch....or at least I think it was Grendal's Gulch...wherever the location was, it was sucide for a lowbie without a raptor Pack

And yes, I vividly recall running back and forth from the Hospital to The Hollows

Oh, and I remember the first day of the XP smoothing. I was flabberghasted at seeing my debt just melting away. It was like Double XP weekend every day .

And I remember when buying SOs was a major expense. We had no Wentworths, or Invention Salvage, or Recipes to sell, so all the influence we had, we got from playing the game and selling our enhancement drops to the correct store.

Grin. First day WW went live, and I sold my newfangled salvage and IO recipes for the first time, I felt super RICH

Edit-And I just remembered how happy I was when Blasters were given the ability to use their first three powers while mezzed

Right now I would have to say my Spines/Elec scrapper Blueside, followed by my Mind/Elec Dom redside.

I am also having fun with my Ice/ice Blaster. I gave her Teleport Foe and have been having a "blast" with all the things I can get it to do...I now, very rarely, get any aggro from surgically removing one minion too many from a group, or from removing the minions found surrounding the big boss.

Teleport my chosen victim to me, freeze the poor guy in an ice cube, Bingo!

Hmmmm....wonder if my Spines/Elec would like Teleport Foe. Don't have a hold yet, but I can certainly handle whatever grief one minion gives me....

I tried to log in again, hit the "Enter Paragon City" Button,, and when it timed out the message read No MapServer connection.

Sigh. I can see that someone does not want me to make strides with my Spines/Elec scrap

Hello all.
Right now it is almost 4:00 in the morning Central.

I tried to log into City Of Heroes, Victory server, and all went well until I hit the "Log Into Paragon" button.

I went nowhere.

It finally timed out and said there was not a server connection...think that is what it said at least....I am half asleep.

My hubby is playing on Victory right now so I am not sure what is afoot.

I will try to log in again and see what it says exactly when it times out.

Anyone else having problems?

Ok. I see there is a real problem. I was in a safeguard mission on Victory when I got the announcement that the servers were coming down for another maintenance.

I had hopped on after the morning maintenance with no problems, and was happily doing Radios and story arcs with absolutely no problems when I got the red notice of doom.

After being kicked off, I stomped into the forums, eyes blazing, mad as all get out because this is my last day off this week and I wanted to get to 44 at the end of the day, and I found this thread.

Now I feel selfish and sick.

I had no idea all this was happening, and most people could not log in at all.

I hope this new downtime fixes things.

Lisa eagerly looks at both builds then sadly shakes her head.

My Spines/Elec just turned 40 and I am having a wonderful time...but...Lisa hangs her head....my build looks nothing like these two.

I knew from trying to beat Defense into my Fire/Fire that I was not going to be able to afford it...so I frankenslotted a bit and went after the basics. I used four Eradications in every power that accepted them, I have Improved Slow Bonuses from Pacing the Turtle and, I forgot what the other was, Impeded Swiftness I think. I have some accuracy bonuses...and so far so good..nay better than good... I am loving this toon

But, I am not trying to go 4/8, I am 1/2 solo so that might make a difference.

Actually, I am 0/1 in Romanland (Ouchies), 1/3 for missions in the Rikti warzone, and 1/2 for all else.

Welp, Have to scoot my boots to work.

I was able to play this morning up to about 7:30 AM Central with no problems, then I had to go to work.

Came home a short bit ago and no City Of Heroes.

Something bad happened inbetween

I was off today and all my chores had been finished yesterday because I wanted to log in sometime with my Blaster.

Most exciting part of today was when I realized I could not log into the forums

Anyways...almost 6:00PM Central

I can't play long because of my early start in the morning, but I can play for a bit, and a bit is better than nothing

I know, I know, because most people are home at night, and are at work and school during the day.

For the majority of the playerbase this is indeed the best time....for me....sigh.

I know and I accept that they could not please everyone, but I am going to get almost no playtime when I thought I would have the full day, and planned for it...my household chores are done, everything is ready for work on Friday, meals are all taken care of....

Yes, I would like cheese with my whine because I am indeed whining.

Corrupters may do a bit more damage then defenders, but they actually have a little lower survivability. They have weaker debuffs, and get said debuffs later. I have to give this one to defenders in regards to "I do this better". However, it's a close call. They are fairly equal in effectiveness. It's a matter of "do I want more damage, or better support powers". Overall it's a wash.

Hmmmm... As far as Corrupters vs Defenders go which would be the more survivable soloer? Is the higher damage more desirable than the stronger debuffs? I am wondering because a few days ago I went and made a trio of Defenders. A Dark/Dark, a Dark/Ice, and a Dark/Sonic..I like Tar Patch They are all level nine now, and are doing as fine as frog's hair, but, now, I am wondering if I should wait and reroll them as Corrs.

Just recently I sent a Tell to the wrong Global friend with the message that went something like "I am in your Farm stealing all your tickets"

This particular Global Friend hates Farming so...yes...my cheeks were cherry red when realized what I had done.

You use more endurance.

Granted for the likes of toons with excellent endurance management this is no sweat, but for the rest it is a problem.

In my Base there is a gizmo which has self buffs you can craft..I think I saw "Increase Attack Rate" among the choices, but I never got around to experimenting.

I have many alts, but right now it is my Spine/Elec scrap who is getting all the attention.

She is the first I log in because she is a great mix of sturdyness and fragility which makes for a challenging and fun playtime.
