    Forum Rep?

If you've got very little rep and try to give someone a positive, it will barely do anything, if anything at all.
Not necessarily.. Each person has their own individual Reputation power.

    According to VBulletin:
    Quote:
    Register Date Factor
The number of reputation points that a user is able to give or take is dependant on several factors, with the length they have been registered as one of them. A user's power is first initialized at 1 and then this factor and the factors that follow are used to increase it. For example if you set this to 365, every 365 days that the user has been a member of your forum, they would gain one point. So if they have been a member for five years, they would gain 5 points of power for a total of 6.

    Post Count Factor
The amount of posts that a user has can also affect their reputation power. Set this to number of posts that you want to award one point for. For example, set this to 50 and for a user with 500 posts, they would gain 10 points of power.

    Reputation Point Factor
The users current reputation score can also affect their reputation power. Set this to 100 and a user with a reputation of 1000 would gain 10 points of reputation power. If you set any of the power factors to 0, that will effectively remove that factor from having an effect on the user's reputation power.

    Minimum Post Count
If the reputation system is enabled, anyone will be able to rate a post but only users with a post count above the level you set here will be able to actually give points or take points from another user.

    Minimum Reputation Count
As with the post count above, a user must have a reputation above this level to be able to give or take points from another user's score.
I had the actual values this forum uses a while back on another thread, and I'm farily certain they were the VBulletin Defaults (whatever they may be.)

The OP's friend most likely did not meet the "Minimum Post Count" requirement, and therefore kept his rep at 0.

Well it's not really important or i would have taken steps to get it by now (or asked you), but if you are offering to run it, I certainly wont say no. Maria is a long arc, so it might depend how people feel at the time.

What I meant was, does using that command actually fix it for you, even if only temporarily? At least it could save you from having to reload options and do all the other steps you were doing before.

It's the same way I do it with Aim and Buildup (binding them both to my mousechord).
Except in this case you wouldn't want a bindoadfile, you'd want an optionload file, so you can load those options and change the costume at the same time.

Unless you mean you'd be using the same key to change from one costume to the next, and then back to the first, then yes.. you'd need a rotating bind file, each loading the other bindfile and optionfile at the same time. lol

    fun stuff

I'm not saying it's a lie (I have it too of course), but it's not currently obtainable to new characters/accounts.

The only way anybody has XXV right now is if they had earned it (or progress for it) before the AE badge changes.

There are only 26 total AE badges left in the game.
When you consider that one of them in Hero-only, and one is Villain-only, that makes exactly 25 for each side.
Then when you consider that you need to earn 25 in order to get the XXV badge, it then becomes impossible to do so with only 24 other badges available.

Combine all that with the current bug that the global AE badges don't seem to be counting toward X or XXV on new characters, then the OP REALLY doesn't have a chance of getting that badge the way the system currently works.
  6. Sorry for the late listing for this Monday's event. As some of you know, Luna's husband (also a fellow player) had to have his appendix removed the other day, so you can imagine she has been busy with some RL stuff this past week and she just asked me to make a thread for this week.

I made some code changes but kept the layout mostly the same. I'm trying something new with the Roster so we don't have to write numbers ourselves anymore. I hope I edited in the correct information for this weeks Arc.

Luna should still be here on Monday with us, and she is still running things this week. In fact, I'll be leaving for Upstate New York (home town) first thing in the morning and wont be back online until Monday, so I apologize in advance if the roster is not updated right away. Luna might make another roster list that she can edit below, so keep an eye out for that.

I believe her husband is doing better and we all hope he gets well soon!

...now if I can only get Ginko to tank for me so I can get MoITF on Robin. Tabby always end up getting recruited for those instead. lol

It is probably exactly what I'm looking for.
Well, I'll settle for just the sentiment. lol

Anyway, I never actually had such a setup on any of my own characters, so I don't know how well it will work, but I did test the commands a bit ingame while I was making the post to make sure the theory was on the right track.

I know the post/method is kinda sloppy because I basically just wrote things down quickly as I was thinking of how to do it, so hopefully you know enough about binds already and got enough out of my post it to make it do the colors the way you want them done.

It seems like the mini option files are the way to go if you can get the right color values saved in them. I didn't name them "costume1", "costume2" because I assumed you might use something like this on more than one character. That clearly wouldn't work right unless you named them "playerAcostume1" or something like that, then had a whole library of files for each toon. It was much simpler to name the file after the colors you are using in it, so they could be used globally by any toon.

All I want is for you to be happy. rofl

Another character I have, Dead Ringer, is a zombie boxer who was controlled by an invisible necromancer. The zombie speaks exclusively in a Grey-on-Navy bubble and mostly moans, while his controller speaks in a white-on-transparent bubble. This allows me to explain who my character is, without using ((stupid ubiquitous parentheses)).

A third toon I have is actually two characters. One is a rather pretty girl who has no abilities of her own. She talks in the same dark reds which adorn her costume. The other is her talking cat, Mittens, who has control over Fire and Wind. The cat's voice is a combination of ginger colors which are also in her fur.

And those are just 3 characters I've already made, which lay about unplayed because of the change ---- I've got a lot of other ideas
That being the case, then you don't really need to use the <color> tags every time. Make a bind that changes your default color and change your costume at the same time.

    Example:
    /bind KEY "cc 0$$optionset ChatBubbleColor1 0$$optionset ChatBubbleColor2 0"

    Color1 is the Text color
    Color2 is the Background

The problem here is that the number you use for the color is hex, but the chat accepts decimal, so you'd have to convert the value first. If you wanted to use 00ff00ff (bright green) for the background, you'd have to use this command: "optionset ChatBubbleColor2 16711935"

    -or-

You can go even deeper and create option files for each color scheme and change them that way.
Change the color in your option menu and type:
    /optionsavefile blackwhite.txt
Change the color again and type:
    /optionsavefile purpleteal.txt

Then open those files and delete everything except the two lines that contain the ChatBubbleColor codes, and change your binds to the following:
    /bind KEY "cc 0$$optionloadfile blackwhite.txt"
    /bind KEY2 "cc 1$$optionloadfile purpleteal.txt"

Change KEY names, filenames, costume numbers and color schemes as necessary.
Also, you can replace "cc 0" with your favorite costume change emote bind instead.
  12. I can come along if I'm around. I don't see there being any problem with that though. I should be here. I'll bring anybody.

BTW, the name of the badge is Dimensional Warder (not Warden).

Also, is getting AntiMatter part of our "homework" also?

I think you might be referring to the gift bag that they were selling at the Meet and Greet.

City of Heroes® Hero Gear Kit (image not shown) -- $20.00
    Kit includes:
    • An exclusive HeroClix figure
    • A foldout map of Paragon City
    • A 16-page PvP comic
    • Winning entries from the first City of Heroes Film Festival (included on the disc)
    • Previews of upcoming NCsoft games (including the City of Villains "expandalone")
    • Exclusive in-game items.
      • Prestige Power Slide (Sprint power)
      • Cape of the Four Winds
I believe that's an old item, so it's an outdated copy/paste referring to CoV back before it came out. Basically, it's a preview of a game that already came out a few years ago. lol

"Expandalone" refers to the fact that it was an expansion of the existing CoH game, but could also be purchased alone to get only the CoV features (CoH not required), which is also outdated reasoning because purchasing either one now grants access to both.

GR does not fall into that category because having an existing CoH/V account is required.
  14. The test servers have their own forums. Looks like you are not the only one with that issue though.
  15. Some powers/auras/effects are not flagged to be suppressed by the command. Try a higher number like "/suppressCloseFXdist 200" just to make sure it's disabled all the time, and if you still see it, that's probably what's going on.

Have you tried the command with a different character with different powers?

Zombie Man is the one to ask about this one. Hes been messing with that command for years and probably knows which powers don't work.
  16. If only more people were just like you! lol

You just need water deep enough to go under - in the Cim mission there's actually a bridge you can swim under (the base is underwater).
Technically it's still not real swimming.. You still fall to the bottom floor and just use the swim animation while you are there... meaning you can't float on the top of the water there without flying anyway.

And yes, there is a small pool in Grandville as well.

Check the forum homepage to see which RedNames are online and then message a Mod with a link to this thread and request for it to be moved.

    (I think theOcho is online)

The resolution options come directly from your video card drivers. Your video card would have to support such a resolution (if it was supported, it would also be available as an option for your desktop).

Well in that case, it can be any number of things. That error message is usually indicative of the behavior I described above (on both Live and Test), and if they really did take it down temporarily, then it could be any number of reasons why it happened to begin with, or they did something to cause it. It's not the first time that sort of thing has happened.

(You can also try getting a Mod to move the thread to the correct section for you)

The live servers? I'm still online just fine, and just relogged onto a different character without issue. Maybe I caught it at the right time?

Either way, maybe they are blocking entry so they can resolve the issue. I've heard of several zones crashing like that in the past few days. They could simply be trying to fix that very issue.

Edit: Just relogged again without issue. What error message are you actually getting?
  22. I just tested on mine, and my 3D Resolution Scaling seems to work jsut fine as I move the slider. Perhaps your video chip just can't handle it correctly?

My only other suggestion is maybe to run the whole game at the lower resolution instead, then use the Window Scaling options to shrink your UI and move it out of the way again.
  23. That is common when a zone crashes. The players that were in the zone at the time are "Stuck" until the zone eventually resets itself.

It usually does not take too much time before you can use it again, but in the meantime.. don't try to bring any other characters to the same zone or they might get stuck as well.
  24. Not in-game, no, but you might be able to use a program like Hero-Stats to keep track of your specific drops.
  25. I have to say that i heve never seen anything like that before and have no idea what's causing it. It looks kinda cool (if it were a sig or avatar, but yeah.. that sucks.

Does it do this after re-starting the game? Resolution changes usually require a re-start of the client. Also, what resolution do you use on your desktop? Using the same resolution on your desktop and game can help performance on some systems when using Fullscreen mode.

BTW, here is the working link for the above-mentioned Tweak CoH program.
