City of Heroes® was at PAX East this past weekend! We would like to thank all the fans who attended our panel, “Re-Inventing A Super-Heroic MMO”. It was a great way to prepare for the kickoff of our 6th year as the world’s most popular super-powered MMO. We were able to show some exclusive content, including our first Augmented Reality ad featuring Maelstrom.

For those of you who couldn’t make it to Pax East, here’s your chance to see Maelstrom pop out onto your screen!

We have more events planned this year for our players, so keep watching for information on where else City of Heroes® and Going Rogue will be in 2010!

While I'm glad to see the video on demon summoning and hear about the new powersets coming in GR what really peaked my interest was the rather nonchalant mention prior to the Pax event that we would be hearing about a "CoV expandalone". I wasn't able to attend the event but I'm really interested in hearing more about this.

I think you might be referring to the gift bag that they were selling at the Meet and Greet.

I believe that's an old item, so it's an outdated copy/paste referring to CoV back before it came out. Basically, it's a preview of a game that already came out a few years ago. lol

"Expandalone" refers to the fact that it was an expansion of the existing CoH game, but could also be purchased alone to get only the CoV features (CoH not required), which is also outdated reasoning because purchasing either one now grants access to both.

GR does not fall into that category because having an existing CoH/V account is required.

Sure would be nice to get some sort of meet and greet in Houston Texas area.
