You can also buy them on another toon and e-mail them to yourself.
-
Send the e-mail to your own @Global name. Any character will be able to access that e-mail, including the one you originally sent it from. As long as you see it pop up in your inbox, switch toons and claim it.
-
It's per toon. If you are still trying, you might even get your tip by the time you read this reply. Just chalk it up to bad luck... or a RNG that isn't on your side. lol

Quote:The UI color is saved to each character individually, not the client. The default color is different for each of the 3 "sides" that you pick. From there, you can change the color to anything you want by going to:Thanks for the useful info everyone. A little spin on the OP's original question:
Is there a way to keep the same UI skin (black/grey) while changing only the loading screen (not too fond of the Going Rogue one but the UI is nicer than the blue/red one)? I've tried -uiskin 1 but that's all red (villains) and -uiskin 0 seems to be the same as -uiskin 2.
Options (Window) > Graphics and Audio (Tab) > User Interface (Category near the bottom)
To get a gray color, you would set the Red, Green and Blue sliders to the same number. Raising and lowering the numbers would make it lighter or darker. I think the default Praetorian gray is around 45-50. -
Quote:Right. When the current SuperLeader quits or becomes ineligible (logged out too long or switches alignment), the "next in line" is decided based on when the Leaders joined the SG. If the "oldest" one has been offline more than the number of days set by the SG, it checks the next leader down the line until it finds the oldest one that is still "active". If none are eligible, it then checks the next rank down, etc.He wasn't online and hadn't been online in several days. I logged in imediatley after going red with an alt to see if my alt would get it. I believe it's based on TIME in the SG.
Being the last or next one to log in should have no bearing on being promoted unless EVERY other member is beyond the set number of days. In that case, you would be the only one within the designated number of days and given the star upon logging in.
I believe the only exception to this (and possible reason for the confusion) was when the Super Leader rank was first added to the game, the position was granted to the highest leader who was most recently logged in. That should have been a 1-time occurrence for each SG to create the position. After that, it follows the same rules the Leader position did before (as a few people explained above). -
I was just about to head to dinner, so it came just at the right time.

Quote:You can't link directly to CityOfHeroes.exe unless you are using the -project tag to bypass the updater. This is mine
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CityOfHeroes.exe" -uiskin 2
Remember, it has to have a space before the -.
The correct paths would be:
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -uiskin 2
or
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CityOfHeroes.exe" -project coh -uiskin 2
On a side note, You can also change the icon for your shortcut to the new Praetorian one on the same screen by clicking Change Icon and selecting the cityofheroes.exe file for your choice between: CoH, CoV, Cryptic, NCSoft, and Praetorian. -

Technically, this is an exploit.. so it shouldn't be listed on the forums. As long as you /bugged it, you've done your job for now.

I didn't take a screenshot or record the time/deaths, but we had a great time. The last mission did start to get a little rocky, but we made it through. I threw down all three Warburg Nukes on the AVs and we ate through them. The towers started to give us a little difficulty as the Repairmen kept getting at least 1 heal through each time they spawned, but we eventually got them all down and took down LR with ease. We took out the Flyer about 3 times total.
We did great considering we didn't have an Emp or any Controllers. Megpie did a great job using the PB's single target heal on Paragon to hold LR back as we took out the towers. I hope Robin's SB helped with Meg's healing rate. I even popped a Yellow and threw in an extra Transfusion/ferrence to counteract LR's crazy EndDrain. I wasn't getting it to hit at all without the Yellow. It was much easier to hit him once we got his Orange tower down, that's for sure. lol
Thanks for coming out everybody! See you guys during the week. I should be around trying to do some cross-faction badges. -
I'm out of town this weekend again, but if I can manage to get Robin Rogue to go Rogue in time, I'll probably bring her. I'd need a Hero to start the team though. Don't worry about it either way, cause I probably wont make the switch in time, so I'll just end up picking whatever is missing from my team. lol

I notice the same thing.
Quote:I can agree with this. Before the FSAA and Occlusion was fixed, everything seemed fine. Turning FSAA back on makes the flashes come back once in a while. It might be from having occlusion and FSAA activated at the same time.
On a side note, I notice the environmental reflections in Praetoria do not reflect the actual environment. For example, if you look down at the Star on the ground in front of the main building, you'll notice building reflections that are not even there. -
This game should be able utilize 2 by default. As far as I know, there is no setting on the user interface that has anything to do with the cores, but I believe you can turn it off with -renderthread 0 in the command line. So unless you have that, I don't know why Vista isn't assigning the 2nd thread of instruction to a second core.
Maybe the default changed again with i18 for some reason?
Edit:
I just checked mine and it seems to be working normally.
For now, try adding -renderthread 1 to your command line just to see if it makes any difference for you.
It shouldn't, but if your client is bugged at 0 somehow, then you never know.
Example: In your shortcut for the game, change the Target to:
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -renderthread 1 -
Quote:The final receipt will have a section that saysI picked it up at a store. Where would this Perk Code be? I haven't thrown out the reciept but it looked pretty normal to me. Was it in the box somewhere? No email either

Quote:As I mentioned above, my bind will activate both with a single keypress. That's what the "+$$" at the beginning of that line will do. It will run any command twice, once on keypress, and once when you release the key. For powers, it will only work reliably for 2 toggles. You wouldn't be able to trick it into activating Aim and BuildUp at the same time for example.General Rule:
only 1 toggle (or click) can be turned ON with any single key/macro press
....
So masterblade's answers above will allow you turn on both sprint and ninja run (but you'll have to press the key/macro twice)
That's how "+forward" works. When you press the key, it sets Forward to 1, and you move forward. When you release the key, Forward is set back to 0, and you stop moving.
Fixed. "+powexecname" will probably error and forward/backward needs the + to actually work. -
Quote:You can also click the bigger "Chat:" text just under those tiny "nuggets" to make a menu appear that does have Local listed.I don't want to have to keep clicking the tiny 'local' chat-bar nugget to select the channel all the time.
Alternately, you can type "/l " to send to local chat, or bind a key to "chatcycle" to allow you to change channels quickly. You can also bind a key to "chatset L" to set your chat quickly to local as well.
I know this doesn't necessarily fix your issue, but it gives you some options to work around until it gets re-added to the other menu. -
/macro ON "powexectoggleon Sprint$$powexectoggleon Ninja Run"
You'd just have to press it twice to activate both.
Then you'd need another one to turn them off:
/macro OFF "powexectoggleoff Sprint$$powexectoggleoff Ninja Run"
Alternately, you can do it with a single key by using binds instead:
/bind KEY "+$$powexectoggleon Sprint$$powexectoggleon Ninja Run"
/bind Shift+KEY "powexectoggleoff Sprint$$powexectoggleoff Ninja Run"
On keypress, Ninja run will turn on.
On key-release, Sprint will activate as well.
Using shift with the same key will turn them both off.
(The toggle OFF string only needs to be run once to disable all powers in the string.) -
Quote:All I'm saying is that if you typed what you wrote into the regular client, the game will execute the /bind command up to the $$, and execute anything after that as a separate command. To make the client bind the entire line, it needs the quotes.I didn't use the quotes, but I do mine through CitiBinder so maybe that program automatically adds the quotes.
I've never used CityBinder, so I don't know how that specifically installs the binds onto your characters. It's very possible that they error-proofed it to automatically enclose each line in quotes to avoid such a problem. I do all of mine manually using the client and/or manually written bind files. -

According to the patch notes, they removed the restriction on a few of the badges. This one can now be earned by either side. Since it was always being tracked but simply not awarded to Villains, we had apparently already defeated enough for it to be awarded as soon as we logged in.
