Quote:In the scale of Things That Can Go Wrong, I call this a very minor issue.
It's not something that will pop up often and it's something the player can fix themselves.
In the MMO world... that's minor.Quote:Using your same logic, they really shouldn't have fixed the crystal in Cimerora, it was something fixable by players as well and that was one object in one zone, minor in the MMO world....
They are completely different types of circumstances. Having arcs open on the opposing side preventing you from getting a new arc isn't necessarily broken, it's just a policy oversight. It was designed to have a limit, and still works as it was designed to do. The point of this thread is to let people know about the issue and to possibly have the design changed to accommodate the new features in the game.
Some people are not even aware of arc limits to begin with, let alone realize how arcs on the opposite faction might factor into their ability to grab new ones. I can't count how many threads over the years of people asking "why isn't Maria giving me her arc?". This tells me it's going to be an issue regardless of faction-related limitations. It's a simple mechanic of the game. If you want to get a new arc, you finish your old ones. If that means switching sides again to do it, that's what you will do.
It cannot be compared to getting stuck in the Cimerora Crystal. The fact that there were a few workarounds doesn't mean it should be classified as a minor annoyance. That was broken.. plain and simple. -
/bind LBUTTON "gototray 1$$gototrayalt 2$$gototrayalt2 3"
Every time you click the mouse, your trays will reset to positions 1 2 3. If you mis-click, just click anywhere else on the screen to reset it again. -

Quote:I think i know what you mean, and i sometimes experience the same thing. If I spin around in an area I just went to, it'll be kinda rough, but if I spin a second time it's just fine. It's almost as if it's ceasing while loading the graphical effects (FSAA/Occlusion) in that area, and once they are loaded, it is smooth as butter. The same thing happens while simply entering certain areas without rotating at all. Once loaded, I can go back and forth to the areas just fine. Also, without those 2 options turned on, the problem seems to go away completely. I like thosee effects, so I can live with the occasional "chunky-ness" lol YMMVChecked both those things re: the monitor.
Whatever my issues are seem sporadic, it's driving me a little bit crazy. I haven't seen the line I mentioned in a few days. But...
Currently, when it has problems, the problem it has is "chunking" as I turn. Ie the framerate slows way down, but only as long as I am rotating. Moving forward, etc. works fine. -
Quote:You'll notice that if you're "Rogue", no matter how you get to RWZ (from redside or blueside), you'll always zone in at the redside entrance. Likewise, Vigilantes always zone in blueside. You can then use either exit."Quote:That's not true. You always zone in on whichever side you entered the base from.
Just tested it on several characters, both vigilante and rogue, to make sure I wasn't crazy. Every time I zoned from Atlas i zoned into the Paragon side. Everytime I zoned from Grandville i came in on the Rogue Isles side. Didn't matter which alignment I was.Quote:I stand corrected! Who was the yoo-hoo on here last week saying it was exactly the opposite?? Thought I tried it and experienced the same, but I was drinking, so...Quote:I didn't pick up GR until about two weeks ago, so it may have been that way initially or during beta and a patch fixed it afterward.
1. It was fixed
-OR-
2. It was a bug that only happened in special circumstances that might be harder for people to replicate through casual testing.
Either way, I would hope that somebody who tries to travel through RWZ would see the options the portal is giving them and just move to the correct side. lol -
It's funny you bring this up, cause i was thinking about that the other night when we were doing Maria's arc and was going to test it out and make a post about it. It looks like you saved me the trouble. Thanks!
-
I doubt I'll have Tabby switched over in time for this, so it looks like I'll bring MB. See you there!
-
Quote:Indeed. I had remembered seeing a post about somebody who didn't count, but I didn't know exactly. After running the old arc, we were able to point it out very easily. That, and I found the post I was thinking of right when we killed Nightstar again anyway:Update: Nightstar doesn't count from the new arc. So if you're at 11/14, you need Nightstar, Siege, and Anti-Matter.
Dimensional Warder - brokenQuote:Update - the AV that is not counting is Nightstar. You need to get Nightstar from the old arc. Same mission as Siege.
Thanks everybody for coming! See you next week in Praetoria! -
There is most certainly an event message once he's out, but getting him to spawn is another story. I was able to get him to come out at least 3 times in the past without any problems, but like others above.. I recently had a full team killing Spectral Demons for over the span 3 day cycles, and he still never appeared. I personally counted over 100 kills for myself alone within one cycle.
I'm not sure what the problem is, but there does seem to be an issue. -
Well, I have an early shift toward the end of the week, but i can try to manage to bring Robin for this one. If I can still manage to get up early for work, I might be ale to join every week again. We'll see. I'm still adjusting to my new schedule.

The GR splasher is -uiskin 2.
For example:
....CohUpdater.exe" -uiskin 2
Additionally, if you are a fan of changing your icon to match the splasher, the Cityofheroes.exe file does have the Praetorian star available as an icon as well. -
I'll cast another vote for: Thesaurus.
Think about what you want your character to be, what it looks like, or what powers s/he has, and use those words in your search. Once you find a few insteresting descriptive words, you can start adding names to them, or changing them any way you see fit to make them work. -
Quote:Yes, your "Master" attempts are always fun. We have a great group of people here, and the team last night really kicked butt! The first "phail" wasn't until the very end of the TF, and was due in part to a little misunderstanding... but we learned from it and trucked on for Great Success on the even-quicker second run!Congratulations on a shiny new badge!
Thanks for joining everyone - it was a lot of fun as always!
Thanks for hosting, and congratulations to you too!
See everybody for next week's event. Let's hope the Strike Force version goes just as smoothly. -
Quote:To add to this, it may be possible for micro-lag or rubber-banding to cause a plaque not to count. To counteract this, I've made a practice of clicking on the plaque, closing the dialog, clicking it again, closing it again, and clicking the plaque a third time, to REALLY make sure the plaque counts before moving onto the next one. The worst thing is getting to the last one and not being awarded the badge and not knowing which one didn't count and having to revisit the whole set over again.Actually, we saw this complaint a lot even before you could switch sides. It's very common for people to go to an incorrect plaque. Did you actually use a map, or a screenshot of the exact plaque location, to make sure you were in the right place for each one?
I've been triple-clicking even before we had progress bars. I suppose now it would be easy just to check the progress bar for credit before moving on, but i have not had a problem getting credit since I changed my methods. YMMV -
I assume you mean you found the /loc command.
You can easily bind it to a key for ease of execution.
On a side note, I'd love to have the ability to have our current coordinates displayed in a window somewhere. that way we wouldn't have to "spam" the command over and over until we get near to what we are looking for.
As a suggestion, maybe they could modify the /loc command to toggle the display, accepting a boolean value similar to the /showfps command.
Example:
/showloc 0.5
Result:
Your current location is displayed on the screen, and updated every 0.5 seconds. /showloc 0 to disable the display.
Now that would be really nice! lol -
Quote:Maria's arc is lvl 45-50, so even if you reached lvl 50 before switching to a Hero, you'd still be able to get the arc from her.My widow is a rogue right now, lvl 42 and I dont wanna lose the chance to do this arc.
Any advice?
Tina's arc however, is 40-45, but you can run it through the blueside Ouro if you want. If you want to run it directly from the contact (for ease of inviting friends to join you throughout the arc), then simply turn off your XP before you hit lvl 45 so that you can still get the arc directly from her when you switch. -
-
Doing what you want is usually easier with a bind because you can trick it to activate twice in case the target doesn't catch in time.. but here is a macro version to target your specific friend and give him SB:
"targetname NAME$$powexecname Speed Boost"
As mentioned, if the target doesn't catch in time, you might have to hit it twice.
The bind version to avoid having to double-tap would be:
/bind KEY "+$$targetname NAME$$powexecname Speed Boost"
Those wont automatically switch back to the nearest foe though, but IF it somehow works smoothly and correctly for you with the targeting, you could try:
"targetname NAME$$powexecname Speed Boost$$targetenemynext"
YMMV on the timing and reliability. Good luck!
Edit:
I actually just tested that last command and it worked almost flawlessly for me (as long as a foe was already targeted). The SB went directly to the assigned name even though the targeting goes so fast that you never even see the target leave the enemy. Seems like this would be pretty sweet for specific duo circumstances. I'm not sure why it only works perfect if you have an enemy targeted, but a quick double-tap in other scenarios should clear it up. I hope you have a similar experience with it. -
Physical Perfection is a power that was added to the Body Mastery Epic set for Scrappers and Energy Mastery Epic set for Tanks during i16.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Physical_Perfection
Quote:By achieving perfect harmony of body, mind and spirit you are able to regenerate health and endurance slightly faster than normal. This power is always active and consumes no endurance. You must be level 44 and have Conserve Power or Focused Accuracy before selecting this power. -
I was curious about this as well. There are a few defeat badges that don't show up on the badge sites as being available to my characters, yet they were listed on the main GR-badge list here in the forums.
My guess is either that only the Sub-level20 versions count for the badge for some reason, or it's restricted to a Praetorian-alignment toon. Whether or not it's intended or if it'll change in the future, I could only guess.
All I can tell you is that I purposefully tried to defeat the requirement without the progress bar just to see if it'd be awarded, but it wasn't. Since the badge sites didn't show it was availalbe to me, I assumed I'm not missing anything for now and I would wait until it is before worrying about it. lol. -
Nice!
Since those enhancement popups are usually fairly "instant", I didn't think it was linked to the ToolTipDelay, and therefore not linked to the general ToolTip option, but I guess I was wrong. I'm glad i suggested it anyway, and now I'll know for future reference. Thanks for posting the results. I'm glad it worked out for you. -
This can sometimes occur if leadership is changed before you start a TF as well.
For example, somebody wanted to run the Katie TF and formed a team. As it turns out, they never unlocked the contact, so they passed the star to somebody else you did. Even though the new leader was able to start the TF, the system somehow has it screwed up and the mission may repeat itself until leadership is changed again.
In some cases, the previous leader (before the TF was started) is able to talk to the contact and be given the next mission, even though they no longer have the star. -
Those buttons on the top of each column is what turns on and off the Detail in the entire column.
As for the popup messages. You could try double-checking your options for tooltips and tooltipDelay, but I don't think that's really linked to that feature.
