  1. I'd be interested in joining. I'm sure we can bang it out in less than 4 hours no problem, but 3 is going to be tricky unless we really hustle. I guess it depends what the team looks like and how well we speed through certain tasks. It'll be fun to try anyway. I think we can do it.

    What's funny about this is that if you happen to be lucky enough to have a bugged "mission objective" map, you can actually see the pseudo-pet's arrow following you on the map. It's crazy.

  8. Neither of those are run by unlockable contacts. You should be able to run them if you are high enough level.

    The Doctor's Ally Badge:
    They Call Me the Doctor (35-39), at the very bottom of that category

    Origin of Power Badge:
    Origin of Power (45-50), near the top of that category

I'm wondering what geographical location you all are in, or if that has any factor in it, cause not for nothing but I've been on Freedom literally all day and have not had any connection issues whatsoever. My activities included both parts of the "new" Positron Task force, some Rave hunting in Skyway, a LGTF, an ITF, a handful of tip/newspaper/bank missions on redside, and other various random things. I'm in the Boston area.

    Seeing how the bar's numerical value acts very strangely, it's not far fetched to think that it is looking at other factors as well. It could be possible that you have completed some kind of other hidden and unrelated requirement that made the bar move, even if you have never defeated him yet.

    In short, ignore the progress bar completely. It means nothing. If you want the badge, just go run that TF a few times and make sure you are in SG mode during the boss fight.
  13. I'm going to chime in and say I have had this issue as well. Ever since the new "final objective" stuff was added to the map, things have acted funny. Once in a while, certain teammates wont show up on the map, even though the rest of them are there. If they rush ahead, the map clears, but they have no arrow. Sometimes after going through an elevator they will reappear.

    When this happens, it is not consistent from player to player. For example, I might not be ale to see Player A, but Player B still sees him, or I can see his MM pets on the map, but he can't... etc

    Also, I've had enemies show up once I get to the last mob, but for some reason only 4 of the 5 enemies in the mob have arrows on the map.

    Other random oddities I've noticed:
    Ambush or Boss spawn locations marked on the map with an arrow labeled "???".
    Jail Cell doors and the -Teleport field around them showing up on the map.
    CoT crystals showing up on the map on the Orenbega maps.
    Once final objective is completed, Pet and escort arrows will show up with a dot in the middle (just like the "you are here" arrow)

    Hence the request to remove the level cap. When you are too high for a zone, it would simply give you the "You will EX to this level if you accept a mission", instead of "Things in this area are beneath your notice."

    Maybe we should make a quick comic strip series called "What Would Positron Do?".

    We can show a picture of a citizen getting her purse stolen, and Positron goes by her saying "Sorry! I'm over-qualified to help you. Please ask somebody who is lower level to help you." haha

    Indeed. I believe it's still 5 defeats for both badges in question, but for some reason the progress bars show strange results. That's what I meant in my original post when I said the progress bar was screwy. Each defeat makes it go from 0 to 31, to 58, to 81 to 91 to 100 (or something strange like that). It's quite bizarre. They have been like that ever since we got the detailed progress bars.
  16. I've had that happen with one character before. This is how I solved it (and had others tell me it worked for them too).

    /bindsavefile charactername.txt
    /unbind_all (and/or reset keybinds from option menu)
    Log off or switch characters for 20 minutes (close the entire client).
    Open a fresh client and log back in.
    /bindloadfile charactername.txt
    Do not zone anywhere. Immmediately log off for 20 minutes again (close the entire client).

    With any luck, the bind file you loaded should persist each time you zone now. The 20 minutes or closing the client might not even be necessary in most cases, but I always suggest it anyway just to be on the safe side. You never know when the character or it's binds might be stuck in memory either on your client or on the server, so you just want to make sure you are starting fresh each time.

    I think that the reason this bug happens is that even though your character's binds are saved on the server, they are also loaded onto your client each time you log into that character. It seems possible that the /bindload commands load the bind file to your client, but don't always make it to the server, which makes them reset next time you log in or zone. I'm not sure what prevents the update from happening. Maye some kind of minor file corruption. I don't know. Clearing the server info completely and then resetting with a new file again usually fixes it though.

  17. Heroes have been able to fight Longbow in RWZ since issue 10 anyway, and hardcore badge toons could get it different ways before that as well.
    I agree the badge info has always been kinda funky, but why mention it now?

    Robin Rogue (the one I mentioned above) was at 633 before GR. She wasn't even maxed out.

    I agree it's more work than it was for my Hero, who went from 770 to 930, but not by "much". Finding time for all the extra Task Forces is really the only main difference, but my Villain made it to 900 even without most of those.

    Either way, sending TWO characters to 900 is more work than only one, though I admit it's not "much" harder either..

  20. Personally, I'd rather they simply lift the lvl restriction for Radio and Newspaper missions. If you get the mission in a lower zone, just make the mission auto-EX you to that level.. and/or at least refer you directly to the detective for the bank mission at that level. Then anybody would be able to do any of them regardless of status anyway.

    Yes I believe it is still only 5 defeats. No changes to the way the badge works, but the progress bar certainly reads incorrectly.

    That badge is called Scorpion's Surprise.

    It's awarded for defeating Lord Recluse at the end of a Patron Arc. You can get credit for defeating him in other places as well.

    That progress bar is very broken. Last time I looked at mine, it showed 91/100. It's supposed to only be 5 defeats for the badge, and one more defeat awarded me the badge. I don't know where the number it displays is coming from. lol

    I didn't think anbybody would make a new club until the upcoming 1000, but since it's here:

    Master-Blade went from Hero to Villain and currently sits at about 930. He still has a little work to do. I was spending a lot of time working on my villain...

    ...Robin Rogue, who has converted to a Hero and still has yet to do all the Task Forces. She just rounded 900 the other night.

    Teal Tabby is my next one to work on, but she has not even turned Vigilante yet, so she is still at like 770 or so. I'll get to her eventually. lol
  24. I've noticed many times citizens have pathing errors and get "stuck" in certain areas of the city. This may lead to other areas not being populated.

    To see what I mean, try going to Founders Falls around the fountain. There will be so many Citizens, they can't even all show up on your screen at once... but the rest of the city is empty.

    In Talos, I usually find them along the West side. In Independence Port, many groups can found along the road on the East side headed down toward Brickstown.

    Edit: Looks like they are all gone there too. How odd. I guess that's one way to solve the congestion! haha
