[Negative Stealth] being applied without escort

I'm finding that in numerous missions where there is anyone to "rescue" that I am getting [Negative Stealth] applied to my character, even if the victims don't need to be escorted anywhere.

I can remove it by exiting the map and re-entering, but it'd be nicer just to get it fixed

Dear NCsoft, if you go through with this shutdown you've guaranteed you'll not see another dime from me on any project you put out, ever.

i think a few issues ago negative stealth was made essentially pointless, so that little icon you see is nothing more than an icon lol

It seems, when getting this power, a pseudo-pet is created. It supposed to follow you around. But, it looks like, this pet uses [Walk] as travel power and it is getting easily stuck in the geometry.

Well, it seems there are still slow and stupid npcs in many missions, even the new tip missions, as my peacebringer in dwarf form can outrun the npc easily in a very short distance while only under the effects of a stealth IO.

It happens specifically in the council traitor rescue where it is very obvious.
I really hate it. They should have fixed that stupid crap for the new content at least.

Well, the npcs themselves have trouble navigating any doorway or even the slightest slope. Just a bump in the path makes them forget who they are, it seems.

They really really really need to fix them so they can keep up with at least basic running only enhanced by sprint(slotted or not).
Maybe their follow distance needs to be set closer too so they can't be outrun so easily when you start moving every tiem you have to stop and wait for them or they "find a pebble int he road and have to go around".

What's funny about this is that if you happen to be lucky enough to have a bugged "mission objective" map, you can actually see the pseudo-pet's arrow following you on the map. It's crazy.

I used to believe that Negative Stealth had no effect, and even got confirmation from Castle it had no effect, but, ah... it does!

When you have Negative Stealth on you AND you're near your escort, THEN you can be seen by foes.

It does not let your escort see you... you have to turn off Stealth still to lead them out.

It does not suppress Stealth when away from your escort, you can lose them and run around all properly Stealthed.

It's like when you click an object... you can be seen. And if you're actively with an escort... you can be seen.

Which I thought was the point of the stealth debuff, so you could lead them out without detoggling your defenses.

That makes it a real pain to lead them out on characters that use a stealth power for defense like Energy Aura characters and every stalker.
