Quote:Right. The major badge changes were done with i16 on September 15, 2009.I believe it happened in Issue 15 or 16, so it's only been about a year.

Quote:I didn't get anything last night either, but as of this morning, closing the client started a download.... except mine gave me an error and never downloading anything. 3 more client restarts and it probably thinks I already downloaded it. Anybody know how to reset it so I can get the download? I checked the directory for a file to delete and tried looking in the registry real quick for an update flag, but didn't see anything. I probably skipped right over it.I didn't get this at all, and I played till after midnight last night. The predownload started on a Saturday?
Edit:
On a side note, the updater's pre-update website still has i18 info:
http://www.coh.com/updater/update.html
Maybe it's just a mistake? -
When i exited I got something like this:
Error from PatchServer: bad fileRequest -
Actually, I was just trying to further stress the oxymoron that they aren't free because you buy them. I didn't mean to imply there isn't still a degree of earning for them as well. You'd still have to do tasks to get the money or candy canes to be able to buy them (the holiday respec in particular)... unless of course somebody just handed you those resources.

I've heard of this happening to a couple other people as well. What i'd do is send a /petition to have them grant the power for you, and also send a /bug report about it not awarding correctly. Include as much infomation as you can about what you were doing when it happened so they might be able to track it down. Where you SK'd, EX'd, on a team, TF, AE?

First hole is it's asking me to log in to view your Wish List. I think there should be a way to provide a link to the Public Wish list, but I forgot how.
Edit:
I figured it out. Here is the real link:
Hero Prime's New CoX Rig
Edit2:
I took a quick look over the parts, and they appear to be compatible and very good specs. You even have my second-favorite case (next to the Antec 900s). I wasn't sure I'd like that CPU cooler, but quick research on the reviews make it seem like it will do the job just fine. I personally went with a Zalman 9700 for just a little bit more money. To each his own.
Overall it seems good to me at first glance. I hope it works out for you. I'm sure other people will come in and make alternate suggestions for parts that might give you a little bit more bang for the buck. We'll see what happens. Good luck! -
Quote:I was once told that prestige is split among team members. For example, if you defeat a foe while solo and earn 80 Prestige, but then defeat the same foe on a team of 8, you will only earn 10 prestige, even if the other members of the team are not in SGs or SG mode. This would mean that SGs don't get an extra benefit from teaming together in SG mode, except for the fact that their rate of killing might be faster than it would have been while solo.Something I've never tested:
For simplicity, assume all characters are level 50 and in the same SG, and that all enemies are even con.
According to Adeon, a minion is worth 13 Prestige, and a Lt is worth 44 while solo. If there were eight characters on the team, would they still earn the same amount (ie, an even division between all characters), or would there be more (ie, a "bonus for large teams", like granted for XP)?
I could be wrong. I really don't know. -
I can't remember when the last time it was I ran such a farm, but it was before the new requirements and certainly after i10. I want to say it was even within the last year. They should still re-summon. I don't see why they wouldn't. If anything, I've seen them summon more pets at once these days instead of waiting a minute to summon the next type of pet.

Quote:There is only one live game version. Both US and EU use the same version. The only differentiation is one executable points to the US servers, and the other uses EU servers.would not let me log on and tells me its using cohupdater.exe
.....
2: Why dos the EU installer keep installing the US game!! Any one?... Any one?... Any one?...
3: why are there two game clients any how??
There is no reason to re-download over and over again. Simply rename the cohupdater.exe to cohupdater.eu.exe and it should do a simple "Verifying files" and let you into the game. -
Don't forget the instanced maps of the Shadow Shard. There are a few of them that are quite large.

Gratz!
And to update my list:
Master-Blade (Scrapper): 961
Teal Tabby (Tanker): 956
Robin Rogue (Corruptor): 952
Tabby and Robin still need Immortal, and all 3 of them still need the foes in RV and working on the 6 new day jobs for their new alignment. Add one more point to those values tomorrow when I hit 54 months, and MB will get 2 more tonight, 3 if the MoLRSF goes well. -
Quote:Wow....has it really been 4 months since anyone's reached this point, or has it just been forgotten?Quote:Oh I'm sure plenty people have made it past 750 badges in the last 4 months.
It's just that most of the top badgers who usually post in these forums have been getting close to 1,000 since then.
When I19 hits there will be many people well past the 1,100 mark... -

It's more of a "If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is around, does it make a sound?" kind of theory. We all know it does, but if you don't hear it, it doesn't matter.

In the option menu, make sure ToolTips is Enabled.

Quote:I'm inclined to agree with you on this. Running SG mode would be faster than converting money, unless maybe if you're a marketeer. hahaIt's been a while since I checked but even with a level 50 the inf to prestige rate is poor enough that I'm pretty sure you'll "lose" more inf buying prestige than you would from taking the 50% hit to earnings getting it "naturally".
I'll double check tonight but unless the inf to prestige ratio from drops is worse than 500:1 you're better off running in SG mode and spending the inf you do earn on prestige if you want to maximize total prestige gains through killing stuff. -
It's common knowledge by now.. The Fitness pool is being removed. Those powers will be inherent. That pretty much makes every build that has a fitness power obsolete.
As far as sources, you could probably do a YouTube search for CoH i19 info and find the information fairly easily. -
I don't think it's necessarily being lvl 1 that means you get no XP, but the fact that foes from Tutorial zones don't grant XP. That mission uses those same foes. You don't have to defeat everything. If you remember where the contacts were in Outbreak, you can just save each of them and move on to the "door mission" and finish it quite quickly.

Quote:If you are getting a lower temperature with the side of the case open, then you might have an airflow problem in your case. It sounds to me like something is obstructing your airflow. Either you have poor cable management, or you do not have enough fans doing what they are supposed to be doing. Proper airflow in a case should almost always run cooler than having the side open.B. Remove the side-panel of my case. This is not something I'd have to do just run ONE stupid game. xD
The point to having the case enclosed is to purposely force fresh air in through the front and throughout the case and out the back. An open case ruins the airflow and cause some areas to be stagnant and get even hotter. It's not usually recommended to run with the case open unless you have a small fan blowing into the case to force airflow.
On a side note, I heard that the higher-end NVidia cards do run fairly hot when under stress anyway, especially OpenGL, so you might be safe for now, at least by a few degrees. The reason he was asking you to do a stress test is to see what kind of numbers you get from your card under a controlled test environment. -
Getting the base started is the hardest thing about forming an SG. Once you actually get things for your base and it's up and running, you almost don't even need prestige at all because the rent is practically non-existent nowadays.
I have not put any new bases together in a while, but I'd like to think that it still takes at least some decent work to get one going. The key is getting some friends to make some alts for you and schedule some events to build prestige for the group together.
