I'm down for this. I offer Robin Rogue (dark/kin Corr). She already has all 3 nukes, Shivans, and HVAS.
-
Grats to everybody again, and thanks for hosting it!

Quote:Every time we ran it, I used Tabby or Robin, so they have the badge "several times over". They are more in demand than a lolRegen, so MB always got a back seat.. just like MB finally got MoTin and MoApex last night, but Tabby got them both the first day. hahaMB: Hey, if you need help with those, let's schedule some time, I'll help ya. (WTF? You really don't have MoLGTF on MB yet??)
If it wasn't for Tabby and Robin lacking the grind to Fabricator, I'd probably drop MB as a badge toon.. then again, the fact that he's already "capped" would just make me want to get the new ones on him after Tabby and Robin anyway... so actually, nothing would really change either way. rofl -
Those are the same two I still need, but even that only puts me at 1199 with my main. My other two toons still sitting around 1185. Maybe by the time I get Partner I'll have my next Veteran badge and hit 1200.

Others have reported similar things. I suspect I know how it happens, but I don't know for sure so I haven't been able to /bug it yet. Besides that, if I mention what I think it is now, I'm sure people would exploit the heck out of it... so.. "No s00p for j00!" lol
And gratz! haha -
Well, you might be able to come up with something that might work a little bit, but it wont be 100%. You'd have to string together several possible boss names into one command.
For example:
/macro Boss "targetname Spirit$$targetname Totem$$targetname Elite$$targetname Tank$$targetname Oberst$$targetname Void"
Pressing this will target any of the following if within range:
BP Bosses
Warrior Bosses
Freakshow Bosses (except the new Super Stunner)
5th column Bosses
Void Stalkers
There is a limit to how many you can fit into a single command, so there wont be room for all of them, but if you are creative enough, you might be able to make a series of bind files that contain them all (except maybe named bosses), and then load the one that matches which faction you happen to be fighting at the time.
Some problems you might run into by using shortened names is if you are on teams with players that contain those words, you'd target them instead. You could get around that by using the "targetcustomnext enemy" command instead, but that will limit how many you fit into each command even more. Even worse, you'd still target dead enemies unless you used "targetcustomnext enemy alive" instead, but you see where I'm going with this. lol
TLDR:
It's kinda possible, but not actually practical.
Here's a better suggestion instead:
/optionset ShowVillainName 1
That will show the names over all the enemies without even targeting them. The bosses will Con a higher color and stick out like sore thumbs, making them easier for you to spot and target manually. -
Quote:I don't know if I agree with that. For example, my situation is that I got a Trial from a friend in June of 2006 and have been subscribed constantly since then (and not to any other games either). I came. I saw. I stayed. So I didn't hear about the game right away... it doesn't mean I'm less loyal than anybody else.all those poeple who have more vets have been playing longer and are essentially more loyal
If my Veteran status of only 54 months was because I started when the game was released and left for a while at some point, then your statement would work. But we didn't all start at the same time, so we cant compare loyalty that way. -

Quote:For what it's worth, the blue goo is attracted to players, so as long as nobody goes near the HVAS, there should be no reason for the "blue goo" to come down upon them and kill them.so this week, drag the hvac out first, debuff BM, and then run around the map trying not to die (and thus killing the Hvac)

Quote:On the "Change Icon" window, click "Browse" and then find and select the CoH program. That will give you the option of choosing from the various CoH icons. Now I don't have any COH related icons avail for some reason. The icon shows some Microsoft clipart and when I right click and go to properties and click the 'Change Icon' button the only ones that come up are the default ones for the PC.
Any clues why this is and how to find the icons? -
A shortcut to a shortcut is actually just a copy of the shortcut, which points directly to the program, which is why it uses the program's icon by default.
-
Quote:If you rightclick on a shortcut and click properties, there should be a place to change the icon somewhere in there no matter what OS you are using.Guess I should've mentioned I'm on Windows Vista. There's no "Change Icon" button when you right-click on the icon.
The key is.. if you are using a shortcut, and not trying to change the updater itself. -
Quote:In your case, you might have been able to use the /reloadgfx command to re-draw your environment correctly.Something oddly similar happened to me tonight.
I zoned out of my base via base portal back to Talos. When I zoned into Talos, I was in "limbo". I was stuck in my jump position, which persisted even after I turned SJ off. All I could see was cars, trams, sky (including moon/sun), npcs and other players. There was no other environment.
I tried the /stuck command, and moving around. Apparently, I was able to move in the environment, because hubby targeted me on a building ledge. Upon petition, a GM moved me to the Talos hill, but I was still in limbo on my end.
Finally had to log out of the game. Logged back in on the hill with environment restored. Was the most bizzare thing I've had happen in my nearly 4 years of playing this game.

I didn't sign up last week because I was working early that following Sunday.
This week, I have no plans Sunday morning, so I'm all yours if there ends up being room.
See you there! -
For at least the last two years, CoH already boots with the secondary thread enabled by default. There is no longer any need to use the command, and it does nothing. If you are still seeing a difference with it on and off, it must be due to whatever else you have running at the same time using the extra resources.

Quote:As mentioned, you need 2 of the Tier3 to make the Tier4. The only way to get another Tier3 is to build another Tier1 and work your way up again.Wait. So if we consume the tier one to craft the tier two, then we can slot the tier two, right? The tier one becomes automatically unslotted and disappears? We can then only slot the 2nd tier until we consume it to craft the tier 3. Why would we ever have to craft another tier one? Confused.

Quote:It depends where you are and what the closest "underground" location is.But if you DO get stuck like this, type /stuck and you'll exit a warehouse on the island. The same one you exit from Praetoria, if I remember right.
There are several maps (including instanced missions) that you can get "under" by doing various things too. We've even had threads explaining exactly how to do it. I think I know what you are referring to, but in my opinion, it's not a big deal and not worth the effort to bother with. There isn't really anything else fantastic about it, unless you go to the Matrix Room. lol -
I have seen it as well. It seems to bring you to the same /loc you were at in PI. I /bugged it as well.
-
If you look at the recipe for the Tier2 powers, you'll see that Tier1 is a requirement. Not only is it a requirement, but it's actually part of the COST, meaning you are basically improving the Tier1 to make the Tier2, losing access to the Tier1 version. Then you lose the Tier2 to make the Tier3. We will lose TWO Tier3 to make the Tier4, which will require re-crafting another all the way from Tier1 again.

It's not just the Khan TF. It's basically during any TF, even an arc though Ouro.
This is usually caused by being on a mixed team (Vigilante/Rogues) and players exiting to different zones. If all the players are not on the same map, the mission will not always auto-set.
I've noticed this issue since i18-ish. The reason most people don't notice it very often is that players don't frequently exit to different maps. During Khan, you have some people exiting to Ouro (or sometimes Ouro2 now), and some people staying in FF, so it makes the issue more noticeable now. -
Quote:For what it's worth, even though it's a good suggestion, I don't think it's really intended to be a "twin". I don't even think doors are necessarily marked as mission doors to begin with. I believe there is a certain range connected to mission locations that allows the doors to be operated as an entry. Some locations may have a wider range than others.1.) Mission Doors.
There's a door in the same boat Statesman is in. That door acts as a 'twin' of the submarine door for missions, and it allows entry when open. Try it next time, saves a lot of headache.
There are a lot of other doors in the game that work that way:
In Kings Row, you can click on the building next to the truck that leads to Pocket D, instead of the truck itself.
In PI, there are a few doors nearby the Police Van that allow entry to it as well.
During LGTF, the buildings the first mission usually start at have doors around the corner of the same building that are "within range" and allow entry to the mission. Other similar buildings across the game work the same way.
The reason the Supergroup Portal in RWZ was moved from it's original location in the Vanguard base was because that "range" overlapped with a mission door in the back hallway. It was fun to use the door to enter a supergroup, but if you had a mission there, it was quite frustrating trying to enter it. lol -
First of all, there is actually a suggestion forum. While I understand that you are frustrated that your ideas are not getting implemented, there is a reason why it's separate than the other forums.
But to respond to your actual suggestions:
1.) You can still click the Sumarine door while it's open, but you have to have your camera turned a certain way and click a specific area for it to work. This is one of many that works for me:
It doesn't negate your point though. There are certainly other doors that don't have simple workarounds, and it can get a little annoying.
2.) Some people are always going to find ways to "grief" others. If the GM told you to take your complaint to the forums, the GM wasn't doing their job, or you didn't describe the problem appropriately. If you told the GM there was a griefer, they could have come and removed the portal and possily warned the player who put it there.
As for the suggestion to add a "no-fly" zone around doors... not bad, but not necessarily as easy as you might think either.
3.) Please yes. Commas in the Inf display would be great.
4.) I've got reasons to be on both sides of this argument, and it's been beaten to death for a long time already, so I'm not going to bother commenting on it here.
5.) I agree. It doesn't take long to do a quick search to find out what they mean, but we shouldn't have to do that outside of the game. Something right on the interface that explained it would be a lot better. Along those same lines, it should even be it's own search filter. Having a dropdown that allows you to search for only team leaders or teamless people would be a big help.
6.) Like you mentioned, they hinted at power pool customization in the future, but the way power customization currently works, it's just not possible.. or at least not efficient enough. Custom powers are linked to your character through your costume. Your primary and secondary powersets never change, which makes it easy to save the options at character creation, but since we can have more than one costume and more than one build, the player file would have to be expanded to include every power pool possible, whether you have that set or not, just in case you pick them later. That just wouldn't be efficient. Eventually they will find a good solution to allow it to happen, but until then, all we can do is wait. -
As far as the ambushes go, my teams usually back up to the tunnel once they start and forget about Reichsman entirely. Once the ambushes are fully cleared, we go back in after Reichsman by himself. Some people don't have good luck with the tunnels because of the AoE damage, but the right team buffs go a long way. Support each other and be smart, and it should be a breeze.

Checkfor a ../City of Heroes/account_name/playslot.txt file and delete it.
Log in and set the characters to where you want them to be.
Right click on the new playerslot.txt file and click properties.
Make it "Read only" and Accept.
The names should not shuffle on you again, but you may have to re-adjust/reset your file again for new characters.
