Well, I could always make a start on this sorta thing. Count me in with Master Zaprobo - L42 MM Robotics/FF
-
Line em up - I have a few runs at this still on MZ so can come in and run another team (at the L42 mark)
-
Okay, first time I read Fury 101 and I was in stitches. Thanks for the laugh
Looking forward to future issues! -
Ranged henchmen... that really leaves you with Robotics, Thugs or Mercs. Each have their respective benefits.
Robotics
- Self Healing (via Repair by Protector Bots)
- Self Defensive (via Force Shield by Protector Bots)
- MM Defensive (via Force Shield by Protector Bots)
- Ranged AoE post-L32 for all henchmen
Thugs
- Self Defensive (via Enforcers Leadership)
- Self Accurate (via Enforcers Leadership)
- Self Damage Boost (via Enforcers Leadership)
- Some Ranged AoE pre-L32, all but one henchman Ranged AoE post-32
Mercs
- Self Healing (via Aid Other by Medic)
- Self Status Protection (via Stimulant by Medic)
- MM Healing (via Aid Other by Medic)
- MM Status Protection (via Stimulant by Medic)
- Ranged AoE post-L32 for all henchmen
Pick what added extras you like for your MM/Henchmen and make a pick! -
Activating the Base Portal to teleport back to the safety of ARAD's Lab-Bunker. Breathing hard, he sank into the comfort of the one of the chairs around the conference table.
As always, the hologramatic displays of new technologies worked their calming influence on the old professor - his mind getting caught up in the intricacies of the technologies employed.
His reverie was interrupted by a priority klaxon from the Base Supercomputer. The elderly man people had taken to calling Master Zaprobo shuddered, it was the call he was dreading.
He took his time as he walked over to the Control Room, suddenly feeling his age for once as his feet dragged against the anodized metal plates of the bunker floor.

"Punch it up computer", the scientist sighed.
"Master Zaprobo!", the angry figure of Black Scorpion bellowed, "You have some explaining to do!"
"Well, sir, it was like this..." -
Nice Rhinoxx
Good to see another character blogger onboard! Will be reading along with everyone else
-
He has the same chance to spawn everywhere. Me, I mainly took him downin Grandville, but St Martial or Nerva might be a better option for a greater level range participation (was scary enough taking on Jack in TheFab (L50ish mobs) when I was only L41)
-
Much like how I set up my "Modern Mastermind Controls" for Alt/Ctrl + QWER/ASDG/ZXC I didn't like the numpads either.
If you're hurting for space, you may want to switch to actual files, rather than single-line binds - it allows for a few more dynamics (and more detail, like making your henchmen speak at the same time too!)
Good work though - its complex stuff to get your head around! Anyone else got some control variants? -

Does the AT affect the magnitude of the temp power.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. Each AT has a "modifier" for ranged, melee and control attacks I believe. -
Onyl just seen this thread - I run "Arachnos Research and Development" as a VG (but on Defiant).... oh, wait, wrong forum
-
As I said in General - in Grandville this evening I was around for two Jack spawns. One I just missed, the second I got. I expect whats happening is teams are getting him, and not broadcasting it.
Seems about okay for a rare, but event spawn. -
With regards to your Poison query I don't believe so, though someone who has played Poison to a higher level may have a more definitive answer.
Vengeance can only be activated on incap'd players. It will affect live henchmen but can't be triggered from a dead one.
And the issue is that henchmen don't pay attention to other henchmen - they're all trying to get into range for their attacks. Try stopping slightly closer to your foes, so they don't need to move any further before opening fire. It's just an AI issue, but the slow-mo run against furniture is probably bad path and needs bugging. -
Around the L40 mark and I'll endeavour to be there with Master Zaprobo. Is probably the best target - minimum entry to RV, etc.
-
With new players, thought some may appreciate reading this one... Masterminds are not an easy AT to get a handle on!
-
I can't imagine any power being bad enough that two EndRdx's wouldn't see you clear to cover the End cost... maybe three (like I slot Force Bubble).
I really am going to have to bite the bullet and run a */Dark Mastermind to see if it is doable... -
Trick Arrow works for Masterminds. It works in any situation when you are dealing with multiple foes, and not single-targets as a large number of its early powers are AoE.
And if debuffs keep a team alive, it'll keep your henchmen alive. -
Mastermind PvP is based on a single context - get your enemy to stay put while your henchmen batter them accordingly.
Traps is single-handedly one of the best sets for doing this, given enough time to prepare.
Caltrops and Web-grenade ensure a slow, non-jumping, non-flying opponent. Poison Gas Bomb (forget the name) gives a chance for toggle dropping with its sleep/hold components. FFG and Triage Beacon gives you some protection against hostiles. Seeker Drones gives you additional control with -Percep and Disorient. Acid Mortar to whittle away your opponents resistance.
Robotics gives you Burn Patches, Disorient Grenades, Force Shields, and Repairs for your Robots. Along with Energy/Knockback Damage.
I'd try and tie in Teleport Foe, and Teleport for travel - enable yourself to flee in good order, and to pull enemies back into your deathtrap.
Myself as Robotics/Forcefield I tend to be a moving battleground as my defenses (Force Bubble, Dispersion Bubble) aren't so static. Traps need to pick their own battleground more. -

This is off the topic, but I thought you quit Master?
[/ QUOTE ]
I did. My computer, she is now fixed and I have returned accordingly! -
(( You're not wrong, and thanks! Computer problems kept me away, but I got it all sorted! Expect the continuing trials of MZ as he works his way to TL50! ))
-
Well, in light of my return I've kind of celebrated by starting work on a new site for ARAD.
Come see the handiwork over at http://arachnos.pia-fidelis.com/ -
/bind <button> "petsayname <unique_part_of_hench_name> <phrase>"
So, for MZ, if I wanted my Battle Drone called "Drone ZR-2" to quiup when I press "P" I'd use...
/bind p "petsayname ZR-2 Yes Master"
or...
/bind p "petsayname 2 Yes Master"
The above would only work if no other henchman had a number 2 in their name. -
The scientist commanded the Assault Bot to breach the sealed door. As the missiles flew, Master Zaprobo stretched his cramped neck inside the safety of a Force Bubble. The months inside Agincourts' cells had brought back uncomfortable memories of the Zig.
As the smoke cleared, the mad professor sent in a wave of Battle Drones to clear the path as he used his anti-gravity unit to float imperiously into the laboratory he had once called his own.
The whole lab seemed deserted, some of his previous experiments removed. "Probably by those damn Longbow traitors...", the white-hared man mused as he sank into a chair. Deactiving all his fields and dismissing his ZR Autonomous Combat Unit detachment, he turned to the supercomputer and inputted his credentials.
The security seals were still in tact, showing that Arachnos Research and Devlopment had gone underground in the wake of his capture - prominent scientists like Dr Zweistein and Dr E Genius going to ground.
Frowning, the Professor fired off a status report to Black Scorpion before checking his surveillence logs.
"Well, well, well...", the elderly scientist chuckled, "it seems my escape did not go unnoticed. Computer, activate Security Plan Gamma-Four" -
Now that Shivans scale with level, it might become a bit busier - since everyone loves a renewable source of pet powers!
-
Oh dear, I think I must be due to compile a new index then... After my LARP event this weekend then
-
A fight against Bat'Zul in the Cap Au Diable Strikeforce. Epic. I had to resummon on several occassions, and had to keep dispersing my heanchmen so they didn't get fried by AoE's. Also on a few occassions had to fire up Personal Forcefield after all my henchmen were defeated and find a safe spot to resummon.
Had a similar fight against the Eye of the Leviathan in the Sharkshead SF, but I lost that one so wasn't so epic in feel as more like a complete defeat
