A fight against Bat'Zul in the Cap Au Diable Strikeforce. Epic. I had to resummon on several occassions, and had to keep dispersing my heanchmen so they didn't get fried by AoE's. Also on a few occassions had to fire up Personal Forcefield after all my henchmen were defeated and find a safe spot to resummon.
Had a similar fight against the Eye of the Leviathan in the Sharkshead SF, but I lost that one so wasn't so epic in feel as more like a complete defeat 
1. Infernal - Insanely difficult, he summoned countless demons before I could do anything and I died several times trying to beat him. If I ever went for the demons he'd just resummon them immediately. So I decided to turn the tables with a Shivan Decimator and a Warburg nuke. Only then did I manage to survive.
2. Aurora Borealis - I was facing her on the highest difficulty setting and well, it was difficult. Thankfully I eventually defeated her, but I had to resummon my pets several times in battle. Twilight Grasp was a life saver.
3. Barracuda - She wasn't too difficult but lots of people say she's tough to solo. I guess I was lucky when I managed to beat her first time around. But in the end she folded quicker than a sofabed with a fat man on it.
Me and a friend was doing a mayhem sidemission when we triggered a few alarms too many. Could have sworn that it was at least 25-30 longbows charging us at once =) it was intense and fun. (oh, yes.. infernal was a drag. Had to go villanous to manage him)
So far solo it'd be Calystix. Kept resummoning her/his coral pets far too quickly for me to be able to kill them off while doing enough damage to her/him. Died twice and got through about 5 changes of pets... This was about level 30, so before the Robot level 32 upgrade and dark's fluffy.
After getting Fluffy and the 32 upgrade power, EBs don't give me that much trouble. I've dropped Infernal twice practically without noticing, Positron was a lot tougher. I'll admit though that Valkyrie's self-rez/MoG combo surprised me and had me kiting for a good while at low-HP in BG mode.
In a group? Well yesterday I had a few very tough battles, One was vs Calystix again... but this time as an AV surrounded by a load of +repel/+knockback waterspouts and four high-psi-damage EB level fonts of power (which could essentially one shot me even with 3-slotted SF running, and did a good job at wiping out my minions in a Leeroy-style all pets BG mode charge) with another AV ambushing us afterwards. The team nearly quit in that mission after about the fifth/sixth trip to the Hospital.
Mind you, Numina was very hard as well... just getting to the right area of the zone was essentially like trying to break into Hero Base in Warburg. Then there were the multiple Longbow bosses with Knockback Singularities that Linked with Numina, who proceeded to run halfway across the map aggroing everything in sight and causing about three nearly complete teamwipes. Once we actually got Numy alone, it was a cakewalk... [img]/uk/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
Loving dark's AoE rez, Heal, and the ability to floor the tohit of everything short of Hamidon.... [img]/uk/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
I've still not tried to solo an actual AV/Hero though (though it's just been me and a brute a few times)... nice job with Aurora Borealis Haidou!
Myself (mercs/ff) and a friend (thugs/dark) took on Barracuda and then Calystix the other night....Barracuda was an intense battle especially when Ohmtown decided to aggro the whole corridor after we had tried to pull a few minions [img]/uk/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]
Watching my Commando and my friends Brute pets go to work was awesome, the Freakshow ambushes that joint the battle didn't know what hit em.
Calystix was a bit easier, which was probably down to not having Ohmtown with us [img]/uk/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
During both missions we seemed to get more than our fair share of rezzing Freaks and at one point I said 'it's just like double xp weekend all over again!'

Lord Recluse, final battle of Ghost widow arc...He'd taken me and the bots down twice with his summoning of about 20 of 'his' pet crab thingies...third time lucky, we broke him down with dark servant but he was still too strong..we eventually got him down to 95% health with 10 of his pets pinning us down, before my last bot went, he fired a photon grenade and wiped him out just as he got taken out himself....Just in the nick of time to call mission over!
So i came up with a post like this, not trying to make it as a poll but rather to share battle stories, please do. So what's your best or toughest battle you've ever had as an MM?. I can start with a few of my own.

First one: it was against CoT Ruin Mage - Purple. All i can say it was scary - the thrill afterwards was sweet. There were few moments where i had to retreat or get faceplanted & burned all my insps.
Second: Longbow Ballista - this guy is so hard for me and i've had to beat him 3 times, it's a high-risk debt mission everytime. Those nukes make any thug eating dirt in one/two hits. I really dont want to see him again
Third: Infernal is probably my favourite fight. Intense fight. He can do some nasty things to "Gang War", it would be a miracle if the thugs lived more than 5 seconds.
Four: Getting ambushed after Portal by 5-10 CoT Earth Casters is truly the craziest moment i've ever expirienced. Again very high change getting faceplanted.
