Stalkers can get around +perception easily anyway, I dont see any reason to start giving them more. Besides, we should wait to see what I7 brings before changing things.

Erm stalkers already show up when they get hit by any damage, a cone would be good I still can't help thinking if we'd get a load of people spinning around in circles or not. Perhaps as suggested earlier a random chance of detection, or even maybe have them simply appear after a while of being near you.

Yes, show up to everyone though. Not with stealth dropping in small increments. -

Make hits on the stalker reduce there +stealth rating by X% until it reaches 0. Defence bonus from hide is tied into the % of stealth. Possibly change overall perception/stealth across the board.
eg. stalker at 80% gets hit by a dev blaster twice. players with tactics can see the stalker and attack.
Stalker takes 2 more hits and is totally unhidden to everyone nearby and there granny.
I'm making the numbers up of course, but you get the idea.
Alternatively, make stalkers 100% visible but only within a narrow cone of vision. More perception widens the cone. Probably a massive recode though. -

Said I liked it. Prolly needs some balancing work though, and I wouldnt mind seeing a power which turns a regular mob into a henchman. Even if it was just some "massive (gamma :P) radiation burst" thing which turned him into a rampaging hulk for 2 minutes before he died (possibly in an exploding shower of mutant guts). -

I have it on my necro/dark and it isnt bad. My zombies seem to last a bit longer in pve. In pvp I tend not to use it on pets so I can keep that "hard to target the MM in all those pets" buff
Although I do sometimes buff one grave knight with it. Its good for buffing team-mates in pvp, especially stalkers of course.

Which means stalkers can reach the stealth cap and stay there indefinitly with there lvl 1 hide power. Oh no wait, one +perception power reveals them at an astounding 10ft!! Not much fun to play against, and probably too easy to play as well. To be fair, i like the idea of less tight builds, but i suspect a tight build is a side effect of making the stealth cap difficult to reach in the 1st place.

Hehe, cant agree with that but i'd be interested in how a stalker would go about this if the idea you posted was implemented. Stalkers perception isnt much to get excited about. -
Try and fit fear from the presence pool into your build, only /ninja have protection from that, in which case you can use the knockback from AR (unless they have acrobatics too, then your screwed again). I agree with the other posters that stopping the AS in the 1st place might be a better strategy, but it is good to have a backup plan. As an experiment I played a spine stalker during the RV event, relying exclusively on placate, and impale. I had little trouble with controllers, blasters and defenders. I dont think spine stalkers themselves are overpowered, but the ranged attacks on melee characters may need looked at in general.

Is this for pve or pvp?
In pve your pets will draw more aggro than you, in pvp players will try to ignore the pets and go after you.
I would say dark for pve and FF for pvp. Dark is still strong in pvp, but I think FF would be better for a pvp 'tankermind'. -
You dont get debt for for drone deaths. Also, wasnt there something said by the devs about TPing into towers?

Just got booted off the test server after the event finished :P
Had loads of fun while it lasted though and nearly filled up all the character slots. -
I expect debt in pvp zones anyway but if i had a group of players gleefully ramming debt down my throat because they dont like the way i play, i'd leave pretty fast. A few nights back, one stalker with TP was able to TP into our base and 1 shot before the drone got them. This happened several times until I droned 2 villians and they all backed off. I dont see any problem with people attacking over bases in either direction or why people get there knickers in a twist over it.

Anywho, what got me is that there seems to be more heroes in defiant pvp than union pvp. I dont play defiant much so maybe I've only been in during the peak hero times. Are there always so many more heroes than villains in defiant pvp? When i logged in there were 19 heroes and 4 villains

er... was this today, this afternoon? The Echelon & Liberty Legion were in Sirens hotspotting to celebrate a Legion anniversary.
Hope you didn't leave too soon as you'd have missed a few of us swapping to villains to even it up a bit. We even fought our way to Talos Park from a very sieged villain base.

The 19 against 4 was the afternoon. Later on the the sides were also unbalanced but I cant remember the numbers.
ps. I suppose things might change once RV goes live and COV has been out for a year. -
I've remade my dom on union anyway. I'll poke my head into defiant every now and then and see how things are.

Finally got my dom to lvl 20 (the unlucky charm) and zipped into sirens to try him out. Obviously got beat a few times but I can see he might be quite powerful later on. Anywho, what got me is that there seems to be more heroes in defiant pvp than union pvp. I dont play defiant much so maybe I've only been in during the peak hero times. Kinda disproves that idea that "AS and hide is all we have!". Also, how could you run mezz protection when "stalkers have no defences" anyway?
