In order:- The video game 8-Bit soundtrack
- Songs of the Scott Pilgrim movie
- Score of the Scott Pilgrim movie
I guess I'm glad it got some victory somewhere. It's just weird that its music is doing so significantly better than the movie. -
Had the issue right now as I tried to put the game on and leave the updater up while I worked.

Quote:With gallons of due respect, an Arachnos soldier's origin is very explicitly detailed in the Archetype description. This is unlike Stalkers (generic hiding villains) or Blasters (generic power houses).I had an idea for a PPD themed Crab, the only thing in the way is the Arachnos symbol. Stolen technology ect, I just figured the PPD would scrape the logo off before deploying it into the city. Options are good, there's no reason they couldn't make a backpack without a symbol.
If you have a specific concept that defies what is laid out on the character creation screen, I'm sorry to say that's on you. -
Did you read my list of suggestions above? They may help.

Quote:Don't need to. I would assume that any hero is repentant of their time with Arachnos, but ever heard the phrase "Gone, but not forgotten"?Quick question: does the large Arachnos symbol on the back of crab backpacks go away when we switch to pure hero?
If not: when can we expect it to.
A lot of heroes purposely keep negative mementos on their person for one reason or another. In Nolan's Batman, Bruce Wayne is scared of bats and uses the emblem of Batman to help him focus on the concept of fear and bringing it to his opponents. Superboy's colors are a call-back to his emergence during the "Death of Superman" series. On and forth.
I'd say an Arachnos symbol could mean any of the following (for RP reasons):- A sign to others that anyone can change and repent.
- Intimidation (I'm the best of the worst and your now your worst nightmare)
- A scarlet letter (The other heroes make him wear it to represent past sins)
- He just really liked spiders after that.
- A disguise to help him earn the trust of those too wicked to repent.
- It's not a symbol, per se. The vital components to the backpack are shaped like that and you can't change it without breaking the entire thing.
Or add your own. -

Quote:And my main just became a Rogue. As the game defines it, Villains are after power, and revenge. They want to make themselves more powerful, and those who they feel oppose them less powerful. Thus, their Tip missions are usually about either retrieving some device/artifact, or sabotaging the efforts of one of the major Contacts, or the hero or villain groups.
Rogues want money. That's it. It's a job, and they get paid for it. They also want to preserve the status quo, and their ability to make money. They will often do good because if some evil plan comes to fruition, it will ruin their business. "It'll be hard to earn a living when everyone in the Rogue Isles is a zombie."
He's a billionaire that does it all for the lulz. -
Correct me if I'm wrong, but my interpretation has always been this:
Villain: Grandiose plan that involves their being at a masterful level of strength. Thus they train day in and day out with a single-minded purpose. Maybe they want to save the world at dark costs. Maybe they want to burn humanity in revenge for that one dark day. The point is, they are focused, and they have offered their soul and humanity in payment for their goal.
Rogue: Holy crap, I have powers! How fun is that!? Wheeeee!!!! Oh, I'm bored. I'll be good todayokaythat got boring robbing a bank.
Isn't that the essential spirit? -

The new expansion "Status Quo" launched. The game gives you morality missions that illustrate how very easy and binary the concepts of Good and Evil are. As such, your job is to take the missions labeled "Evil" and discard them. Doing so gets you Golden Gear that pushes you far past purple in stats.
I'm finding it very difficult. I keep wanting to discuss moral ambiguity and clicking on the the option that says "Snap rabbit necks".
I keep falling for temptation, you see. The problem is that players that go Vigilante, while evil evil evil wrong... get free vigilante pugs:
How could I resist!? -
Quote:I thought that, too, until I realized that the entire point of the movie is that Scott Pilgrim is learning what is wrong with him and what needs to change for him to be a worthy person. In Twilight, much like The Little Mermaid, Bella/Ariel is wrong and flawed, but the universe seems to make everything all right for her, as if she's at a dinner part with Time, Meaning, Rhyme, and Reason and Meaning seems to polite to point out that she's using the Salad Fork... for soup.
At no point would you ever see why Ramona would want to be with Scott besides beating up her ex's.(I hate myself for using this analogy, but Scott Pilgrim is like Bella from twilight.*rips off the corner of his mancard.*) -
I fully intend to name my son "Mo" and raised him to appreciate Elton John. Also going to raise him Catholic. Ya know, as a practical joke.

Quote:My response.I think I'm gonna vote for Arizona congressional nominee Ben Quayle solely in the hopes that he turns out like his father (Dan Quayle). Does that fall under politics or comedy in terms of discussion? Because my intent is the latter.

*Looks at subject line*
That locks it. I'm staying off of every section of the City of Heroes boards save for Comic Culture until the large goblet of wine that is Going Rogue is bone dry.
This is getting out of hand. -
Quote:Two weeks ago, my girlfriend didn't know what "MMO" meant but "hoped it meant she and I could play co-op". She was afraid of 3-D worlds because they were disorienting.I am sorry, despite what experienced players may think - for players new to MMOs.... Praetoria may well be a problem. I know had CoV been anywhere near this hard when I came in, I would not be here chatting now
One week ago, she's saved my butt and had my back through most of the Praetorian content we've explored together. And she's leveling faster than me. She's a Blaster, and she's absolutely shredding through the Praetorian story-arcs while soloing.
It's anecdotal evidence, but I don't think Praetoria is "too hard for absolute newbs", as she simply must be the type of person you're describing yet she hasn't missed a beat in a song she never heard before.

Then again, I suppose the only real way to check would be to do a follow up survey on people that had a free trial going during GR's launch and then quit. The survey would need a section on game difficulty. If a significant number of people complained that it was too hard, then we'd have it. Until then, it's anecdote against anecdote. -
Okay, my question is: What is the collective noun for a group of gays? Is it a gaggle of gays? A queue of queers? A rainbow of fabulousness?
I mean, I know the collective noun for lesbians, but the gays, I don't know.
On a vaguely more serious note, it really irks me that all terms for non-hetero lifestyles have come to have gender specific connotations. Gay is "homosexual", but everyone takes it to mean male. So I have to specify "gays and lesbians" in any conversation that should bring them up, which is, of course, most conversations involving Glee.
Thoughts?
