Quote:How do people even swing shotgun!? Hammer/Shotgun is how I started, but Shotgun does two things I couldn't handle:My build is hammer/Shotgun, but I have the entire inner ring unlocked at this time startign the outer ring over the weekend, welcome to the fight
- Assumes I'm in a group.
- Assumes I want to target just one person at a time.
The fact that it counts resources by the person you are currently targeting was too much for me. -
Quote:I'm all for Hammer and Chaos. So far I'm running with Elemental and Shotgun. But I haven't actually found a shotgun, so really I just have Elemental.
In the Savage Coast, you'll find an amusement park. I won't spoil anything specific, but the boss of that area... they will gladly explain to you why your Solo Build sucks. And believe me, before that boot camp, it does suck. -
I'm going to write up plans for a more productive forum that is more conducive to a long-term community, as opposed to their current layout which is geared solely towards helping people understand the mechanics of the game.
TSW can have a community as great as City of Heroes, but when you have 92 sections on game mechanics and one mechanic called "Off Topic", people aren't going to want to bond and form connections outside of the game.
I believe if we trim some sections and expand certain others, we can make people feel more like a family.
I did it when I was a community Rep at Nexon, and I think it worked out all right. -
I cannot recommend this game hard enough.
Going to see if I can influence the forum managers over there to make forums more friendly to the likes of us. -
When I first joined City of Heroes, I had the honor of being a part of their first ever costume code giveaway at Comic Con. Ex Libris gave me a code and then several others. The majority were given away as part of other events (I believe mostly my run with The City Scoop). I have one more, though. One I've been saving for a special occasion...
Who wants to be the last person ever to redeem a City of Heroes costume code? Better yet, being the last to redeem a code and it's one of the first codes ever made?
Sound fun? Details to follow. -
Hey, City Scoop fans. Just wanted to let you know that I still have all of your PMs and will be answering them in time.

That post did it. I started crying FINALLY. Loved all the tiny nods to people like Golden Girl and Samuraiko. You're fantastic.

I really am a guy!
(The brick of a 5 year old brick joke lands...) -
I feel like Sister Flame was the focal point of the best of this community, and it is hard to read this without being emotional.
We wish you the best with a sincerity of great magnitude. -
Thank you, Sister Flame, for seeing this game through your youth and enthusiasm that reminded us how much fun this can be.
Thank you, Ultimus, for your loyalty and passion.
Lord_Of_Time, regrettably you will not read this, but thank you for that Christmas Day when you stayed on the forums and made sure everyone who had nothing better to do on that holiday felt special and loved.
Thank you, Golden_Girl, for being you. Sometimes I wanted to strangle you. Sometimes I wanted to marry you. You were, at the end of the day, one of my favorite people.
Thank you, Dark_Respite, for your creative visions you always shared with us.
Thank you, Lemur Lad, for bringing out the best in me and the rest of the City Scoop.
Thank you, Ex Libris, for helping me get a job in the video game industry and thusly changing my life.
Thank you, Manoa, for being such a sincere friend that I could always turn to you.
Thank you, The Legendary J-Man, for being my ally in celebrating City of Heroes' absurdities and strengths. I will always, always be glad we found each other at those shows.
Thank you, Pantsstealer, for making me laugh being someone to whom I could speak.
Thank you, PWNZ all and collectively, for helping me lighten up and enjoy life and the game more.
Thank you, Golden_Ace, for always believing in the Moon Zone.
Thank you, Korith, for putting a Bounty out for Kill. Did anyone ever collect?
more to come... many more. Hard for me to think of all the names. I could easily put dozens more without even feeling like I'm straining.
Please add your own. -

So I see people complaining that Statesman's canonical death was unsatisfying. I won't comment on that. Haven't play the arc yet and don't want this thread to go there anyway. It did, however, remind me of the old fall-back: Let's see you do better.
Challenge Accepted! Here's my proposal: Write up better ways Statesman could die. Show off your fantastic storytelling skills. And I'll step up first.
AWESOME Ways Statesman could have died- Stubbed his toe, which is discovered to be his Achilles... toe.
- Lord Recluse exposes him to Schmiptonite, his only weakness.
- He realizes he's been fighting to save a world where Jersey Shore outlasts Community and takes the honorable way out.
- Impervious and Immune to all forms of doctorly concoctions... he dies of the common cold.
- Fugu me!
- Nemesis flips the "Off" switch.
- Goes back in time to prevent himself from ever using time travel and is eaten by a paradox.
- "This milk's expiration date is how old? But what is that in Immortal years?"
- After saving the world a billionth time, he accepts an invitation to a party with Keith Richards. He is later found outside a hospital emergency room with a note stapled to his back that reads "N0T STATEMAN"
- Turns out the answer really was "Batman, if he has time to plan".
- "Hold my beer."
Add your own, but Don't reference how Statesman really dies! -
