  1. Woah ... so for one token, I can chance a rare Pace of the Turtle or Glimpse of the Abyss will become a random IO of the same rarity of any other set? Count me in!

Edit: Hahaha ... thanks for the belly laugh, Quasadu! You rock.

    Wait, what am I misunderstanding?

Positron: "In addition, they will be rare drops from enemies for VIPs."

-- but not for others. Can non-VIPs buy them from the sources listed, though?
  3. Does CoH/V really need a secret cow level?

    The answer is YES! Woot!
  4. My belief is that Back Alley Brawler is on a "back burner", in a holding pattern, until he replaces Citadel. Citadel, in my feverish world, is the Coming Death. (Like Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation, he is sentient, and therefore alive, and therefore can be killed)

Once Citadel is killed, BABS will become a Phalanxer (officially for real this time), be called from the police station where he's hiding out, and take over Citadel's Task Force.

Citadel will be cropped (quite easily) from all the game with BABS repalcing him.

At least that's the dream I had while drugged up on nyquil.
  5. Ranged Damage: Fire Blast
Melee Damage: Electric Melee/Martial Arts (Tie)
    Defense: Fire Armor
    Control: Earth Control
    Buff/Debuff: Kinetics

Looking forward to a new Melee/Buff-Debuff AT to make my Martial Arts/Kinetics hero. Woot!

Oohh ... hey, if that will work count me in too.

I think the key words (which were used in repetition to highlight their importance) were, "Looking forward ..."
  8. So, "Looking forward ..." is Marketing Language for, "You're not getting female gunfighter costume pieces."

    I'm sad.

    Aaaawwwwww ... he's so cute!

Or, I'm going to have nightmares for the next week. I can't decide.
  10. I'd be happy with this:
Cool cowboy costume pieces for male (and huge) characters.
Cool cowboy costume pieces for females

    And call it a day.
  11. Wow. That takes narcissism to a whole new, Incarnate level.
  12. The new arc acknowledges that the old arc already happened.

This, then, is the second capturing of Statesman by Praetorian forces. The first time by Tyrant, the second .... as it is written.

In reality, a retcon. In game, a progression of Statesman's ability to be captured again and again.
  13. I'm expecting something structured like the Tip System ...

    1) Threads will drop during these missions
    2) Completing each mission will award you an Astral merit, maximum of 5 per 24-hour period
    3) Instead of an Alignment Mission after 10 of them, we'll get an Empyrian Merit and a random drop from the Incarnate Salvage Table (or a choice between them).

    I'd be happy with that.
  14. Wrong Section, sorry all.

    UPDATE:
Does anyone know where the technical support section is? It's been a while since I needed it, I can't seem to find it. (I blame my advanced age)

    Thanks!

    Longer Bios

Reading bios is something I do enjoy doing while waiting on TFs and such, I'd be for increasing their word-count, maybe double what it is now.

As someone mentioned, it would be a nice thing to sell in the Market. I'd probably but that feature too.
  16. Hmm. It must be just the consumable aspect that's bothering me.
  17. Just comparing:

Rocketboard: (a permanent "temp power" which provides useful and speedy flight to all characters on your account, forever)
    Cost: 600 PP

Undead Survival Kit (unsure if usable for all characters on an account):
    * One of the cheapest to craft and most common craftable temp powers (Slammer) with 30 uses that do not GUARANTEE 30 hits per use.
    * 75 Holy Shotgun Shells (the shot gun evaporates on the last use) that DO NOT GUARANTEE a hit with each expended charge
    * Warwolf Summoning Whistle (5 charges)
    * 5 charges of the Self-Revive Power
    * 5 Large +Acc/+Dam Dual Inspirations
    Cost: 400 PP

    Is that right?
  18. I'm wagering its the Wolf Pet.*

*This wager is based on hearsay and hopeful intuition
  19. Ya, I don't understand why someone would want to play a character that someone else made ... (CapCom syndrome as I just, right now, started call it). City of Heroes lends itself to making new stuff.

For instance, my new character on Exalted, "Water of Life" was inspired by the empty-brain jar Halloween helmet and the Clockwork body. He was a medical experiment in hydro-molecular computing. Developing sentience, and a high degree of intelligence, he's off to save the world. What comic book has sentient water as a major hero? (Note: haven't read comics regularly for nearly 12 years).

I've played three /Regen heroes, and I love them all ... Broad Sword, Martial Arts, and Electric Melee ... but ...

Willpower is better in every way. There is nothing a Primary adds to Regen that it won't also add to Willpower (or any other defense set, for that matter).

And if you're a player that likes to run solo missions a +1 Difficulty (or more) set for a team of 8, Regen is going to give you nothing but stress and heartache. But ... if you like the playstyle ... go for it!

For the same amount of Influence to make Regen viable in that situation, you could have made any other defense set even more viable.

*EDIT: By "defense set" I mean Scrapper, Brute, and Stalker secondaries, not sets that provide defense.
  21. The firefighter helmet is begging to be put on my Axe/Fire Armor brute!
  22. I think it's Citadel. He's alive in the same way Data from Star Trek:TNG and can therefore, "die".

He'd be the easiest to replace, the least missed ... and BABs would be recruited into the Phalanx to replace him. The Citadel TF is now the BABs TF. Done and done!

(Of course i could be wrong, I predicted that the Impossible Astronaut would be an empty suit! Doh).
  23. I'm just curious why the OP is calling out Positron when he views this as a customer service issue.

    Alignment System

I made a bad post just now. Bad post! Bad!

    Redacted.

    Alignment System

    My imaginings would be thus:

If you're a Vigilante, you would become a Hero.

If you're a Rogue, you would become Villain.

If you were a hero or villain that had switch sides FULLY, you would remain on that side (and be unable to go back to your original side until you went through the Alignment process again)

    That's my imaginings.
