Debating between a Night Widow, Bane Spider, Electric/Willpower Stalker or Energy/Ninja Stalker for Siren's Call and RV zone pvp fun.
How would you rank them for effectiveness?
Thanks for any advice... -
-
It applies in every way. Stalkers and blasters have the same job (damage) and the same HP base and the same HP cap. If one were to have their HP cap raised, for the reasoning that it is easy to reach making certain buffs worthless, why wouldn't the other set get the same?
-
So stalkers HP cap is getting buffed to 2000ish, so that they can actually benefit from Dull Pain, Hoarfrost, High Pain Tolerance, etc.
Blasters start at the same HP base and have the same cap of 1600, are they getting their HP cap buffed?
I recently started playing a blaster, and between accolades and IO bonuses it isn't hard to reach the cap of 1600hp. Hoarfrost, for my blaster, will be a heal with a really long recharge.
Are my numbers off? Are we getting the same buff and I just missed it? -

I've played corruptors, defenders, and controllers with Radiation. Which would be most effective in zone pvp, and why?
Thanks... -
After getting sick of running out of endurance on my level 36 SS/Inv, I rerolled as SS/regen. I'm 35 now and loving it. I eat pavement quite a bit, when I put off healing myself, but so long as I'm on top of things I can rip through missions at higher difficulty than any other brute I've played at this level. It will be interesting to see how things go at 50...
-
How is regen doing? I know it's clicky, and needs lots of recharge to truly shine, but how is Regeneration when combined with a few hundred million infamy worth of IOs?
-
Can /FA brutes do much more than farm AE and newspaper missions?
I don't see them tanking strike forces or anything else... -
Just returning after another break, is Exalted the place to be for zone PvP nowadays?
I have a bunch of toons on Freedom and a few on Exalted. Where should I plant my zone villains?
Thanks! -
Alright, I'm back after a few years off. I decided to roll a stalker, and playing around on Mids, I'm confused.
I guess one of my goals, with my stalker, is to max my HP through accolades and IO set bonuses, which isn't that hard.
So, as far as regen and willpower, if their +HP powers are easily replaced with a few IO sets and accolades, what makes them better than a set like Electric? Electric Armor has decent resists to most damage, a self heal, and 20% recharge bonus to all powers. All I've read about is how bad it is.
More info please? -
So there is no reason to go out of my way to get a few of them (Demonic, Born In Battle, Invader) by level 30 anymore?
-
I've been away for a while, and am having trouble finding an answer on this:
When you get an accolade at level 50, do you keep the bonuses when you exemplar down in Siren's Call and others? -
Does anyone use Dark Melee in PvP? It looks better than it used to be, now that siphon life does superior damage.
-
Does Power Buildup, from Kalinda's Pool, boost any of the effects from Radiation Infection, Radiation Emission, and Lingering Radiation?
-
I put the fitness pool off until level 26 so that I could get the radiation powers earlier, and it made things much easier and made me feel much more useful. Use radiation infection, enervating field, and lingering radiation as much as possible, they are amazing powers, especially combined with accelerate metabolism's damage and recharge buff. This is what I did:
1. Fire Blast
1. Radiatiant Aura
2. Fireball
4. Accelerate Metabolism
6. Hasten
8. Combat Jumping
10. Enervating Field
12. Aim
14. Super Jump
16. Radiation Infection
18. Blaze
20. Lingering Radiation
Hasten and AM help your powers recharge quickly when you only have fire blast and fireball, but once you hit 20 you have the basic powers you'll use throughout the game and be able to kill quickly solo, and debuff the snot out of the enemy when on a team. -
I just don't understand why /electric armor isn't as good, or better than the others. 40% resistance to just about all damage is the equivelant of 40% extra HP, right? Add a heal to that and it seems like a solid set.
What makes Willpower and Regen better? -
I've been away from the game for a while, and a lot has changed since I left. I used to pvp quite a bit in Siren's Call with my Spines/Ninja and EM/Regen stalkers.
I'm starting over, on Freedom server, where there is a pvp population, with new characters. I'm debating between an EM/Electric, EM/Regen, and Spines/Regen stalker.
I'm unsure if /Electric is any good, as resist sets were always ineffective for stalkers, but it does have a heal so I'm not sure if that's changed anything.
I have a Fortunata, so I have my fill of defense based characters for now.
Playing with Mid's, /Regen and /Willpower seem to lose benefits wtih stalkers because of the low HP cap, unless Hero Builder is not working properly? This is the only reason I'm not just going with /Regen immediately.
What would you do? -
I'm about to build a new brute. I've been away for more than a year, and many things have changed.
Which primary brute set, with the current changes, is better for zone pvp? Does it matter, or will they both work?
Thank you for the advice, while I try to relearn the game.
Oh, I'm taking electric armor as a secondary, if that changes anything.
Thanks! -

Spines a much better set in Siren's because you get 2 GREAT attacks in Impale and in Ripper. Sometimes I just fly around looking for fliers to bring them down.
I love just using Impale dropping them then either finishing them off or I just fly off to find another to drop. It's very funny and fun.
Spines is an amazing set because of versatility whereas Claws completely relies on Focus.
Hope this helps

Um lemme see: So spines has impale (high damage ranged attack) and ripper (high damage cone) whereas claws has focus (high damage ranged attack) and eviscerate (superior damage cone)......how does this make spines better?
