  1. The only typed defense that's arguably worth building for on a Shield Defense or Super Reflex tanker is psychic defense, because there are a number of attacks that are only typed as psychic. Not many, but a few.

This one is very clever, I quite like it.

I've played with Archery/Psi blasters that are not as epic as your experience might lead you to believe.

The math and spread sheets discuss peak performance typically, and player performance can only be worse.

On the other hand, if you have any amount of defense to start with, you can often softcap either Melee/Ranged/AoE or S/L/E/N (sometimes F/C too).
If you manage it on 0%/90% on an Invulnerability tank, it's because you've made horrible mistakes on your build.

An Electric Armour tank with Resilience Core can get 90% Smashing/Lethal/Energy and with the Might of the Tanker +Resistance proc, you'll have about 80% resistance to everything else but toxic.

My Dad won Ben Stein's money. He doesn't brag about the fact that he's smarter than Ben Stein though, because that doesn't seem to be saying much.
  6. You know: Given the fact that no one will actually be walking, space is probably the best place to wear High Heels.

That might get me to make a Dominator, if I could figure out what primary to pair with it.
  8. I believe it's 30-35.

But there are also Incarnate missions there.

They don't actually appear as enemies in any of the story arcs in the zone, so they seem to be more like outdoor flavor for the mobs.
They appear as enemies in some Loyalist missions. At the very least, they show up in the "Eliminate the Resistance Rune Soldiers" loyalist mission.
  11. Because I don't like the way brutes play.

I like to build up my defense early, I don't care about having a full attack chain. I like tanks.
  12. Shoot. Let me check the rule book. I suppose I should also activate Unyielding. Which section are defensive toggles covered in? And how do I apply Resist Energy?

Okay, it's been five hours. Am I in close enough range to use Brawl yet?

I'd go with dead lands, because not enough pen and paper RPGs use a deck of cards.

I'm sorry, but how is your suggested AT any different than getting rid of Tanks entirely? Oh, you can say "It's a combined tank and brute" but that's just semantics.

Your suggestion gets rid of six archetypes and offers alternatives to four of them. It's a lazy way to balance things.

I could still play this game if I couldn't play blasters. I'd lose Secular Energy, but I don't play him terribly often right now anyway.

But turning all tanks into brutes? That would destroy any interest I had in playing them.

Yeah, that'd probably get me to quit. I've never gotten a brute past level 26. I've rolled a number, but I can't say I care to play them. They end up deleted or transferred to a server I don't play on. I enjoy playing Tanks though, and a plurality of my characters are Tanks.

I understand that it becomes difficult to balance things when there are four different melee archetypes, but they each play significantly differently, except perhaps when on a team.

I don't understand why you would want to decrease diversity like that.
  19. Does not work on:
    Earth's Embrace
    Healing Flames
    Hoarfrost
    Kuji-In Sha
    Reconstruction

    Works on:
    Dark Regeneration
    Dull Pain
    Energize

  22. No, feel free to take the train or walk.
  23. If they're short they might go for lifts.

I mean, specifically, the men's shoes, the ones that have similar detailing to the gloves. There is no female option for boots with details like that.

Edit: After testing the pack in beta, I have to say, Dink makes the best feet. No "stupid feet" issues!
Yeah, but you'll notice the boots weren't actually unisex.
  25. I had Regent's Pizzeria in La Jolla in mind. They have a passable Chicago-Style Deep Dish.

Also, they have Polenta Fries. They take polenta, form it into square prisms, and deep fry it.
