Generally speaking for Blasters the Melee attacks do more damage because of the greater risk involved in using them.

I'm no numbers guy but in terms of feel. Only my Power Burst blast feels stronger than Bonesmasher.
With it's reduced range to begin with I'm using it in melee all the time anyways.

I think I should point out most of my perspective is coming from a long time soloer.

The real goal for any blaster is knowing when to use what tool.
Be it a blast or a buff or whatever. It's knowing when to attack and when to hold off.
It's knowing when to run.
Don't be afraid to run.

Run circles around the baddies. If you have a nasty on you and can't shake him run past the Tank, his aura will pull the baddie off you.


As far as using your blasts in melee. Go for it!
Just not Snipe. :P

That said, don't try to stay in melee for long without some form of mitigation!

Fire/Ice would be a great combo if you wanna avoid melee.

My 1st go around with blasters I thought I should avoid melee like the plague but I was mistaken.

Depends on your playstyle and combo.
Some prefer ranged only builds while others combine the two into what we call

Blappers. (mish mash of scrapper/blaster)

I'm a hardcore blapper, playing 'ranged only' as concept from time to time.

As a Blaster your focus and survival is dependant on dealing damage. Lots of damage as fast as possible.
The melee attacks in your secondary are very powerful in this regard. Even more so if your /Energy or /Electric.

Don't be afraid of the melee powers, they will be your friend in time of need!

What combos are you looking at? We can better guide you if we know.

I just wish we could have the minimum required to start lowered to 2.
I enjoy duoing with my RL buddy and it's annoying to have to try and find 2 or more people willing to join and then log off...

I understand 100% why it's not soloable, being a task force and all implies more than one.
But we're Heroes, When Superman needs a little help he turns to Batman and the two of them can achieve amazing things. He doesn't say, Hang on Bats, lets stand around and see if we can find the Titans and maybe Flash before we tackle this threat.

Scenes like that are reserved for the really big threats, planetary invasions and the like.

Since they altered the difficulty settings maybe this is possible down the line.

Last night I logged on and realized the globals were down and my 12 million deposit email was missing.

This morning I logged in and everything was back to normal.
Hopefully this'll happen for you as well.

I've probably deleted 50 or show common salvage and 5 or 6 cheap IO recipes the past 4 days. Stored a few rares in email.

My level 18 Brute was lucky enough to get a Karma KB protection recipe drop last week.
He didn't have enough influence for the fee so I just held onto it.
In the meantime I just happened to have the salvage for it drop so I decided to craft it for more influence.
I stored it on the BM Tuesday night while I went off to earn the extra 300 grand for the listing fee.

I'm really, really hoping it's still there.

Even though I'm sure it seems mundane and routine to them, I'm sure we'd find it interesting.

I'm on a Belkin 54G router and adaptor.

Gonna try using ethernet cable tonight to see if that solves it.

I've been able to have a psuedo workaround. When I get the LC message if I just sit and wait it always times me out to login. But if I instantly tab out and click the network icon it reconnects fast enough to not time out.
Still annoying as all get out but at least makes the game playable.

The consensus I'm getting with this issue is it's isolated to those of us using wireless connections.

Still not sure what the common reason is though...
