Well, War Mace has Smashing damage which goes well with Broots that love to SMASH...
Plus it just sounds and feels powerful right out the gate.

Axe is mostly Lethal damage and doesn't bloom as early.

Though in all honesty I rarely notice a problem with Redraw being an issue, it's just that's the most obvious reason there are so few.

I actually prefer my Axe/Dark Brute The Faceless Executioner over my
WM/Invul Deranged Clownster.

Only one I can recall off the top of my head though would be Dmitri Krylov's arc.

When I 1st heard about Matt stepping down as lead in order to work on the secret system it reminded me of the whole
Apple2 vs Macintosh debacle that almost brought down the house around Job's and ended up costing him his company (albeit not for long)

Though I doubt there is much infighting amongst the Dev's as to which is better. It still divides a fair chunk of resources on to something that not everyone is involved with.

Eng/Sonic Corr would have a few sleeps. Though the sounds and visuals may throw the concept off too much.

I think Corruptors get Blaster epics though so you could grab a ST hold and use that as time stop. Though that requires going 41 levels before having it...

When you really get down to it though, concept wise. Once Piper developed the speed up ability and to a lesser degree when she took over for Prue as the eldest she began using her powers more offensively, resorting to freezing time only in desperate situations. Towards the end it seemed everyone started gaining immunity to the freeze to some degree.


Man, now I really want a proper Time Control/Molecular manipulation Controller!!

Interestingly enough, Freedom is the only server I don't have any toons on as well...

Infinity is home, Virtue is vacation and Liberty is Praetorians.

But altitis means I've got one or two on various others.


*My praetorians have all been paying for a vacation lately as the pool of avail. players on Liberty at 3am is well... somewhat lacking. At least on Goldside.

In truth, I utterly refused to give this show a look since I figured it'd be Dawson's Creek with powers.

Then about 5 years ago I was flipping channels and landed on an interesting scene with some demon looking dude flinging fireballs.
Cole is the reason I kept watching. Well, the relationship between him and Pheobe. (Stupid Source taking him away *shakes fist angrily at writers*)

I digress.

Yeah I stopped for an interesting action scene and ended up getting ingrossed in the story and universe. It also helped that my girlfriend at the time loved the show and it gave us something to watch together.

That said, there isn't anything like the feeling of ripping into someone with a hatchet! Willpower would be one of the better choices to avoid redraw as well.

You'd be hard pressed to duplicate the power of 3 in any form in game.
Though I do have a PB 'Whitelighter' of sorts.

For Piper I'd probably go with sleeps for the time stop effect and something with Knockback for the speed up 'boom' send em flying effect (since nothing will explode into pieces, only fall down otherwise)

Prue would be easier, Mind/Whatever secondary you want (Utilizing the secondary as spells and potions and whatnot.)

Paige would need the teleport pool naturally, with that any combo could work.

Phoebe on the other hand... Empathy is a natural but nothing to really tie in with her premonitions.

Just ran his arc for the 1st time with a new arrival from Praetoria. I had no clue about this badge though and felt pressured by the fire to hurry hurry hurry, so I only clicked the ones I saw right off.

And most everyone promtply left their 'tumble-weed' servers in favor of the big 2, Virtue and Freedom swelled at the new arrivals while the other servers suffered. Infinity used to be quite happening before that round of free transfers got everyone scrambling to move entire stables of toons.

While part of me wishes I'd been sub'd at the time so I could've too, the other half is glad I didn't.


What your really asking for is a single global server. As it wouldn't be used as much to join a group on Liberty as it would to take your Liberty toon to the teams on Freedom. Resulting in even more vacant servers.

Which is part of the reason I can't get excited about the EU/NA merge until I see 1st hand the results. If it ends up depopulating Defiant and Union I really doubt it'd be worth it to those that feel connected to their 'home' Likewise with me on Infinity. I'm hopeful that the merge means I'll have more people to team with but the turnabout on that is, If I do other servers are suffering because of it.

Maybe someday they will do away with the servers and just have 1 entity but I doubt it.

Dark Melee/Regen is a beast!

DO NOT DELETE HIM, HE CAN BE SAVED!

Mine's at 49 and mostly sporting SO's with only a few franken sets here and there and he's still a beast.
Regen takes a bit more concentration than other sets but when your on the ball there is no other feeling like it. If your not paying attention though you'll drop like a Blaster. Which is what I love about it.

My Willpower and Invul Brutes end up feeling stale after about level 35. When you never have to worry about 'using' your secondary it kinda cheapens the feeling of accomplishment, at least for me.

Edited to add: Since it hasn't been mentioned. You'll want to treat Siphon Life as an Attack now that just happens to heal you too. Slot it as an attack, the damage is remarkable!

I'm hoping beyond hope that Cryptic, and Jack by default, never get their hands on another IP I actually care about...

Shade, we mock CO not to make ourselves feel better or superior. We mock it because it deserves to be mocked. If it had been all that was promised we wouldn't be here to mock in the 1st place. It was touted for such a long time as the COH killer yet we see how that went.
We earned the right to mock CO when their Dev's actively used our forum to recruit.

I've developed the bad habit of skipping all the story content from 1-20 and just grinding the radio until I'm in Talos so I can start the new arcs.
Since I'm mainly solo and don't turn bosses on until SO's at 22.... Yeah, missed them entirely.

I'm kinda OCD about finishing something I really enjoy. I've always seen level 50 as being semi-retirement as I don't enjoy grinding influence. With no forward progress to be made. I suddenly lose interest in them. Combined with a fatal case of altism and a lack of interest in Trials or TF's means I very rarely even log in a 50. They stand as my 'personal superman' that my newer heroes/Villains can aspire to be like.

In truth, I have numerous level 49 toons. That have been long ago abandoned out of fear of not wanting the fun to end. It's a bit of an oddity with me. If I'm really enjoying something I'll put off finishing it for so long cause I don't want it to be over, then months later I realize that by doing that I've by default prevented myself from enjoying them at all.

It's even worse with console games. I've gotten to Sepiroth no less than 10 times over the various years but have yet to actually beat the game. Even with Knights and all, simply because I don't want it to be over. Then I realize it's over simply because I'm avoiding it, only to go back and be rusty enough to want to start over and then have the same synapse misfire and the cycle repeats.

After seeing the Super Stunners and Tsoo's new Kinetic guy I began hoping that all the groups in game would get a new crewmember. More variety ftw.

I'm so jealous of that fracking HUGE screen you play on...

To think I've managed to enjoy this game for years on a single 24 inch when something like that is possible!

1. Do away with Micro Trans in anyform with this game. We don't need the stigma affecting Cryptics 'Otherwordly' game currently.
Yeah it's not a big issue right now. But in 2 years the newcomers are going to start feeling increasingly nickel and dimed for every good costume set. Since all the newer shiny pieces are in boosters.

2. Give Beastyle and Zwill and nice fat raise.

3. Do whatever it takes to re-hire BaBs'

4. Create a new Power pool named Gadgets, with typical useful stuff to help round out character concepts.

5. Wrap up the Praetorian storyline quickly and move onto the Coming Storm.... Finally.

This thread amazes me. Here I was thinking it was only us fools here in the States that still whip out the race card at any percieved injustice...

To all those viewing this in the EU actually in danger of having this affect them I ask two simple questions;

Would you prefer keeping your Global name and only having 4 servers to use it on? Or Maybe have to change it in exchange for 11 more?...
Seriously? Because with the amount of vitriol being thrown at the Devs for this gift not to mention the threat of legal action, however erroneously. I would expect them to just wash their hands of it and say;
"Well fine, have it you way. We won't merge afterall.... Happy now?"

But we already know the answer to that don't we? Derp.
