Which is actually pretty easy now, provided you don't run the tutorial. I couldn't understand why they made all trainers into tailors but truth be told, I've used that feature more than any other so far. Mainly pimping out all my alts with aura's and capes and whatnot.

Quick, It's a rarely seen Dev! Grab it, don't let it escape!
-
My Archer is just a regular joe afterall. Makes sense that he isn't as flashy as the other heroes. Still gets the job done though!
Alternate animations I'm fine with, more options are always a +. Changing the set though, well that breaks the Cottage Rule so...
/unsigned. -
Hehe...
Still to this day, my Blaster's see a rock hurling at them and always try to side step it. It amazes me that those werewolves had the time to install heat seeking tech in every single rock around them.Phasing tech too! Things come flying around corners and thru walls and other Heroes just to smack me in the face!
So, it wouldn't be a hard transition for me to make personally. I don't think the engine is capable of that level of detection though. With tohit checks etc, once the power is activated it's either going to hit or miss. Not sure how they could code it to miss only in this event. I can't see them changing ranged powers to be straight line activations, which would be the simple way of 'Get outta the way' gameplay. -
I do not participate in the Incarnate content, as I generally don't play my 50's. (Disclaimer)
So, I had no experiences with the LFG system before issue 21.
I must say I LOVE the Q and the new trial. It's really fun and easy to get into, team makeup has never neen an issue, even when my Corr ended up on a team of nothing but Blasters.
My question is;
Do we know of any plans to continue creating lower level trials? Utilizing the LFG system.
I know about the Halloween trial, but that will be a seasonal event. I'm hoping we end up getting quite a few more trials below level 50. This would also serve to 'indoctrinate' players into the trial mindset on the way to 50 and the big dog itrials.
Have we heard anything about the future of pre-50 trials? Do you want more or would you prefer trials to be exclusive domain of 50's? -
Also, when asking for advice on builds, I've found it's better to specify that you're looking for a leveling build.
This lets them know you are looking for basic 'what to take and when' suggestions, instead of the more requested how can i squeeze 00.1% more recharge here deals.
Out of the 140 some odd toons I have, only 4 of them are over level 40! The majority of my gametime is spent in the 20-38 range. Altitis seems to kick in then. So I'm always needing levelling advice, as I don't really bother with sets and such. -
Non I would consider important enough to delay.
Off the top of my head, from reading here and seeing in game though;
Purple Paper Dolls graphics bug when using Dimension Shift Cemote or HoB.
Rest not appearing in trays at level 2 (this is important for the true new players)
Numerous pieces missing from the costume creator.
Memory Leak issues
Game crashes when changing costumes in mid-flight.
Super-Tailor crashes the game.
Those are the only ones I'm aware of and aren't really enough to worry over, considering how bad it could of been.
Still. It doesn't feel right releasing Freedom without some buildup. A set date we can all start touting as 'The Day'. To push it live and then say oh by the way, it's live! just feels off. We should know a few days ahead of time.
That's why I think this is just a minor patch and the arcs being avail. wasn't intended. At least that's what I'm hoping. -
Yeah, I often find answers to my questions, or even questions I didn't know I had, without ever posting. Just by reading others. Feel free to leave posts up after you find the answer!

I mainly use the Rocket Boots for my tech/natural origins. My natural thugs/traps MM for example has no travel power. Going with his 'crazy gadgets' motiff I started collecting all the temp travels I could.
At level 26 he has; Raptor Pack, Zero-G, Goldbricker Jet (my personal fave)the jingle jet and I think the one you can buy in PvP zone. All said, I shouldn't run out of time on all of them before level 50. This is what made the most sense for the concept.
That said, I've recently started using the IDF boots on a few toons. One was Tech origin and when I picked up flight I started heading over to WW to get the Rocket Boots by default. As I was doing this I noticed how bulky the Defense Boots look.
Wasn't that big a stretch to imagine he has Anti-Grav tech in his boots. No visible means of levitating, just anti-grav!
Really, unless what you are concerned about is how it looks to others, it's quite simple to RP any origin having any power. Even without bulky boots or the like, your hero could easily have some kind of anti-grav tech in his belt, or built into the suit. Maybe they found a magic talismen that gives them flight. (Just because you are tech origin doesn't mean you can't make use of magic items if you find them, just means it's not where your power originates. etc etc. -
I suspect the Halloween Mansion trial will be located in Astoria. Well...
I did until I actually typed this out and realized that it has to be accessible to villains too, so...
Yeah, Dark Astoria needs more Stuff™. -
Quote:This, they even had a 'banking' emote for when you turned. The randomness of it was the dealbreaker as I recall. I can see why, only a few of my flyers would ever use the superman arms forward pose, most all of them us the arms out bent at sides pose exclusively.Actually what happened was they were implemented into Fly. Each time you activated Fly, you got a random flight pose. Many on the forums, including myself, didn't like this as many of the poses interfered with character concept. We wanted to be able to choose which pose to use per character, but that wasn't considered doable at the time so the emote flyposes were implemented as a compromise.
-
You mean the ghost zones? Trying to find someone randomly to PvP is impossible on any server that isn't Freedom or Virtue.
I've spent quite a bit of time in the Bay getting Shivans lately. On various alts. In all those times I never saw a soul. -
I thought it was widely accepted that Sonic trumps FF these days? Haven't heard anyone say overpowered and Force Fields in the same sentence in fo... well ever really.
Then again I still consider Sonic to be one of the 'new' sets. *Shrugs* -
At that price, anyone I see in game as a spectral pirate... Unless it fits the concept...
I'll try not to laugh directly at them, for long. -

Quote:/This.So... pay 600 points for a costume power, or use a costume slot to make a pirate costume that isn't a clone of everyone else's for free... tough choice.
Read the announcement thinking, hey nifty, now you can have those halloween temps year round. Of course, since they are just generic costumes for everyone... I've never really been all that excited about them. Then I saw how much the 'On Sale' price was.
My reaction.
Uncontrollable laughter... -
All my flyers get this macro;
/Macro fly, e flypose1$$e flypose4
That way I can just click the macro when I'm flying and switch between poses. Also edit depending on what looks best with that character. -
Quote:Which is exactly why it wouldn't work even if you had all the money in the world. Because quite frankly, if you had the resources to actually hide such an organization, you would also have your sights set on bigger things than busting drug dealers.
2) Why not overthrow the established rulers of some oppressive regime and attempt to set up a 'model' country espousing the ethics and methods you beleive in?
After all, the ultimate aim of any superhero is to transform society through example and inspiration; hence the colorful tights. -
Quote:Not really dissing academia so much as saying I feel we could do better with both resources. We used Philosphy to gain the basic knowledge, then it was advanced enough that we had to be 'brought up to speed' quickly in order to advance said knowledge. After so long of that though, I feel we've started losing touch with the wonder of it all. Utilizing crowdsourcing and academia could prove to be a boon to all fields.So dissing modern academia and implying that ancient philosophers could solve today's infinitely more detailed and specialized problems is drastically underestimating the complexities of modern science. The multitudes won't be able to resolve complex problems unless they are framed properly.
After all, crowd-sourcing gave us the ideas that the earth was flat, that it was at the center of the universe and that property values will always go up.
