For the curious: My original question was whether or not generic IOs were affected if a VIP account went Premium. My early searching turned up only mentions of losing set bonuses and Set IOs not functioning. Minutes after I posted, I found a post by a red name (Zwillinger, I think) stating that all IOs (generics included) grey out without VIP/Invention System purchase.
I figured this was a topic that had been discussed to death and, being late to the party, didn't want to beat a dead horse just because it was still there.
And re: Butterscotch Penguins,
Gummy Penguins are better.
