  1. Whats the difference in the two, besides one being from Dom Set and Tank/Scrap/Brute/Blaster powersets. Obivously they would have different numbers, but what kind of numbers do they have, and the difference between the other archtypes, Im currently looking into a new char, and i have never played a Dom. Im more of a Brute/Scrap/Tank kind of guy. I will be a hero on this char if i do make one. I like something i could jump in and see them hit the floor. I Have a Fire and Earth Troller at 50, which i dislike, just cant get into trollers, iv tried 3 times, with 2 at 50 and one at 45, just sitting there.(Ele/Kin for the 45, and fire/kin, earth/cold) I would really want to try something different for the primary, but willing to try Ele as a dom tho, think it would be cool, but any other suggestions be awesome. Just looking for something new to play, and try out, hoping i like it, so i say, hey iv played a dom, or yea there fun lol
  2. Hey all, i come here today to hopefuly some advice on this before making it. So, i played my step mom's Claws/WP, and i love the claws on brutes, but i found the /WP squishy, she had purples and such on her, so i had no idea what her DEFs or anything was, but the damage was amazing. So reason i picked /Invul is because i have never played invul on a tank or scrap, or obivously, a brute. I love to jump in and just say good bye lol. I just recently got a FM/Shield brute to 50, and i loved it, not a fan of FM on a Tank, but on a brute, i love it. Cremate is so much better then Combustion imo, i know its not a aoe like combustion but it packs a punch. Im also a teamplayer, love to do TFs, mainly ITFs, but i like farming on the side, or atleast arcs. any help is welcome, it would be nice to get feedback by other players.
  3. I need a hand. Im not a huge controller fan, but it just came to me that a Ele/Rad/Psi Troller would own. Like you debuff everything, then theres the psy, imo, it would be awesome. So i made one, hes lvl 25, i like it, but thing is, i dunno how to slot this troller at all....Put a scrapper, or brute, or tank infront of me, i can do it, but a controller is different, alot.. lol, but i need hand. Pretty much on how to slot with SOs, im not worried about sets til lvl 47-50. I like to play on teams alot if i can get on one, but when i cant, i like to solo. This guy be used for all PvE, and hopefuly TFs once he gets to 35, so i can do ITFs.

    fm/shield

    Yea im looking to soft-cap and i need help, im not very good with Mids at all. I Thought i had a good build going, like im slotting for it now, iv got half the sets alrdy, lucky i still have another respec and 2 builds to choose from
  7. I know it isnt soft-cap, but i suck with Mids, this is why i asked on the fourms for help. One thing about the build, its Regen/Recovery capped, good recharge, and i still have that extra DEF, like +10% to everything. Im also using Cardiac, so there Damage Resist in that to help out my resists.

  9. Hey i was wondering how much set bonuses you need to soft-cap shields. Not sure how much extra percentage you need. So far i have the +3 Steadfast. Im sure not about the Smashing and Lethal bonus. I am a Fiery Melee/ shield brute, how i slot to soft cap is what im pretty much asking.

    Deleters Remorse

    I Havent regreted deleting any chars, cause if i did, i always can remake it right, leveling isnt a issue for especialy with Vet rewards and temp powers. I have deleted a 44 tank, and a 41 blaster at one point. Then i have deleted a bunch of level 30s, 32, 33, 35 and a 38 to be exact. I dont regret these are all, i just didnt like them.. Even know i played majority of them lol, just lost interest. (All my 30s were differnt powersets of Stone Armor Tanks, just dont like stone)
  11. My tanks have council farm, demon farm, family farm, freakshow farm, and i still can go +4 x8 with those...
  12. Ive been farming for a long time now, and i use my 2 tanks. My main one which i use is my Ice Armor / Ele / Fire Tnk. I have him fully set, hes soft-capped, and can reach up to 90-95% S/L Def with Energy Absorbption. He Also has 66% Recharge from the sets i have, and this is including 4 LOTG Recharges, and im working on my 5th now. I never die on this guy and i can solo +4 x8 without any issues at all, and having my Hoarfrost coming back enough time to hit the Hit Points cap. I Also use the Knockdown/down +Recharge prot in my Thunderstrike, and it hits very often, so with Hasten and my set bonuses, plus that, i have 233% recharge for 5 seconds, normaly sitting at 133%. Another thing, if your on a team with a Emp Def, Adrenline Boost ups your recharge by 100% I beleive, and then if you team with a Kin, theres the Speed boost. ONLY thing which really can kill my ice tank is psi damage. For my second tank, hes a Fire/SS/Fire tnk. I use the council farm or homemade AE Fire farms. His damage output is amazing, with the Rage. Fiery Embrace + Rage + Burn + Foot Stomp, there pretty much dead. I Also have a +Recharge prot in my foot stomp to help my stuff come back quicker. Hes also setted out, and i can have up to 2 Rages on my own, or 3 with SB. Hes not as strong as my Ice/Ele, and seems like my Ice/Ele puts out more damage, but could just be me. I dont have a whole lot to say about my fire/ss just because im to busy with my ice/ele tank. I like him alot more.

    My dad owns 2 Fire/Fire Tanks, only one which is IOed to the balls, and i do play his account all the time and i use his Fire tank. With it, i farm this one fire farm. The damage is awesome too, having Fiery Embrace and Build Up, pop 1 of them or 2 before a grp, jump in, Fire Circle Sword, Combustion, and there also pretty much dead. What i do is pop build u p or fiery embrace, use fire circle sword - combustion then i use the build or fiery embrace whichever i didnt use, and do the same thing, FCS, Combustion. Dead. Overall, i think you would love Ice/Ele Tank if you can afford to soft-cap him, with fire tanks, you cant soft-cap(45% DEF) and fire tanks can only reach from 30-34%. As iv seen. Hope this helps!

  15. Hey all, i come to the fourms to ask for everyones help, suggestions, tips/hints, etc. I have been playing since i3, and i have 6 50s, and almost my 7th. Problem is, i barely have any alts besides my almost 7th 50. I need some help deciding on my next AT/Powersets. So i come here, maybe some of you could help me out.

    First, ill let you know what my 50s are so your not suggesting things which i already have.
    2 Scrappers, Kat/SR and DM/DA, 2 Trollers, Earth/Cold and FireKin, 2 Tankers, Fire/SS and Ice/Ele. Then my current project, Level 39 DP/Mental Blaster.

    My playstyle is pretty much, tank and scraping, i love them both, im not a huge fan on being squishy. I Cannot play the same powerset twice, depending on what it is actually. So hopefuly that helps, and thank you in advance and any help would be awesome.

  17. Why all the hate for Empty Clips, its nice, like, pop Build Up, use Bullet Rain and Empty Clips and there dead. Now since i have Hail of Bullets now, its BU + HoB - Dead, i find that empty clips is handy while your waiting for other powers to recharge.

    Shield/Ice?

    K, iv never seen a Shield/Ice tank on Infinity server yet, as iv seen.. what do you think of this combo for just like task forcing, with some farms with friends once in while, would it be great? Iv never played Shield past Level 4, or Ice past like 6. So, i thought it would be a different combo, just wondering really if its worth leveling up. I Have 2 50 Tanks, Fire/SS and Ice/Ele, then 2 50 Scraps, DM/DA, Kat/SR, so there you go, now you see my playstyle lol. Also a 50 troller, Fire/Kin which i dont play...never..really..dont like her..

    Hiyas, this is my third controller ever made, my one controller is 50, my other is only lvl 32. My 50 is a Fire/Kin, and my 32 is a Earth/Cold. Now im going to try out a Fire/Storm. My Firekin was powerleveled from 1-50, and i didnt get a chance to play her til she was 50, and i honestly, didnt like her as much. Since im done with the whole powerleveling thing, its time to make a character which will come in handy. I know how Fire Control works, but this is my first Storm Character ever made. I need some input on this please, like what powers which can wait til later, or ones which should be taken right away, how to slot em with normal SOs for now, i dont put sets on my char's til 50, so im not worried bout asking sets yet. So any of you Storm experts could help out it be awesome.
  22. Hey All, iv been playing CoH/V for the last 3 years or so, and i never really made a defender worth my while. Im more of a Tank/Scrap kinda of guy. Anyways, i have 2 tanks, 2 scraps and 1 troller at 50. Its time for a defender to reach that mark. I have no really idea where to start, iv been kinda of leaning towards Kinetic as a Primary, or Dark. As far for a secondary, no clue. I Do not have GR yet, hopefuly soon, but just have to deal without that for now. Any suggestions? Im looking more at a teamplayer. I like to be the defender everyone wants lol xD
  23. So im stuck between these 2 powersets and i have no clue which one to pick.
    Fire Aura is something i know lots about it, (50 Fire/SS Tnk) i love it. Has a awesome heal, you have your consume, and a second build up pretty much. Also Burn is once again just lovely in my eyes. Here are my thoughts about it though, and i would like to hear yours, im always open to opinions and suggestions. First, Fire/Stone.

    Like i said before Fire has a Heal, + End, a Build Up, Great AOE Aura, and the Burn. Depends on your style, the Rez might come in handy.. lol.

    /Stone is something i have no clue about, for my 37 months iv been playing, i actually have never really touched it, and when i did, i didnt get far because of how end heavy it is, and the recharge is slow. With being Fire/Stone, that Burn, Tremor and Fault would play nicely in a attack chain. You pound the baddies to the ground after using Burn, With Tremor and Fault, making them burn better and crispier. With having Consume to help with the end issues with Stone Melee, should be taken care of...? Once i get up in level, put slots on everything, end, and recharge, then 50 comes, sets for those issues. Moving On..

    Dark Armor and Fire Melee. Looks pretty sick imo aswell. You still have an awesome heal, with a AOE aura, and OG. I wouldnt pick up Fear, to runaways. As for fire melee with it, it has a build up, good aoes, and couple good STs. DA, has better resist to more things too, fighting more uncommon things, like carnies, be a np. As for both sets, they have no KB prot off the bat, so that means, gotta get some sets on him asap for that, cuz i dont like taking Acrobatics, just 1 more toggle.
