... that is, unless they changed this and I didn't notice. It's entirely possible, as after PvP got royally nerfed with the "diminishing returns" and travel suppression crap, I've not set foot in any of the PvP zones. So they could have removed the SK/EX mechanic entirely. *shrug*
I think the main difference would be the fact that the 15 would have fewer powers, fewer slots IN those powers, and only DOs in said slots. Even the 24 would have access to SOs, and Stamina. (among other tier 4 Power Pool powers)
  2. I guess it was just close enough to the original description that we couldn't tell the difference for the most part.

Meanwhile, we've got a new week's show rolling, which means we've once again cleared the queue. Get your submissions in for (somewhat) rapid turn around on reviews!

Ya'll don't happen to keep back-ups, do you?
Actually, the reason yours isn't in the archives is that it hasn't aired yet. Tune in tomorrow.

That's the way it should work. I'm seeing reports that it's looking a little funny (adding numbers to the moved character) but they're saying it still works right when the character is loaded if nothing else.
  5. I sent some yesterday (I hope) some today, and the last batch should be in a mailbox for tomorrow's pick up.

Ah, but the perception is half of one, six dozen of the other as far as that goes. Even if it was just the 'Incoming!' (which I actually enjoy, and will make a bind for next time I'm in game) there's still the element where the aggressor is expected to back off it the target says they're not interested. If they do, then it doesn't matter HOW it's worded, it's still asking permission, and if they don't there's going to be SOMEONE who petitions for harassment. I can almost guarantee it.

I'm guessing the most likely response is "but if I wanted duels, I'd be in the Arena." The mentality, as far as I can tell, seems to be that asking if it's alright to fight you is the exact same as setting up the fight clubs. In fact, that's usually how they are set up, one person asking the other if they want to fight.

It's either that, or the idea of sitting in a base and asking everyone you see enter until someone finally says "sure, come and get me" instead of the more likely responses of "no, I don't PvP" or even, "sure, meet me at X".
  8. As far as your Scrapyard descriptions go, you may want to include something about the Leadership of the original Scrapyard, who leads the riots even after his death, and the effect of mining the Red Coral of the Island, which "seems to have mysterious properties" such as animating the Slag.
  9. So...what the heck is a Militant Newfie?
  10. Well, tonight's episode should be up sometime within the next 24 hours, and your arc is set to be reviewed in one week.

I'm not sure what to say about that. There were some issues last week with the stream, which I guess were reflected in the archive. Hopefully tonight's episode will go more smoothly.
  12. Tonight at seven we review:

Captain Skylark Shadowfancy and the Tomorrownauts of Today!

    Illpracticed Malpractice

Whack a Mole! Where’s Moldo Edition

    The Wretch’s Gift
  13. M_I_Abrahms

    IO for free

I'm not in the need of anything at the moment, but I may steal this idea for my Villain at a later date.
  14. There's another possibility. There are a fair number of folks who seem to have this mentality of "I'm the good guy, (or at least playing one) so whatever I do is right." Red side players don't have that particularity, because no matter how noble a character they may be playing, they're still in there beating up cops and other vile acts.

It's not a mindset that's limited to this game, either. You can find several stories a week about folks with that self same mentality in the news.
  15. OK, it's been a while since the new set up came out, and I'm still flummoxed. I've got a couple semi-related questions about this subject.

    1) Does one have to turn AVs 'on' in the difficulty slider, even if there's a team?

    2) If it is possible to get AVs on a team, is it a sliding size, as old, or a set number no matter what your other settings are?

    3) In order to get Elite Bosses in AE, does one need to have the Boss setting on, or the AV one? I'm talking about created characters set at EB to spawn as EB.
  16. Thank you both for the submissions. I'm working with someone to get a visible queue list up. Perhaps if folks can see how likely their arc will be up for review I can get more folks submitting.

As far as the AV/EB thing goes, I'm about to set up a thread in Player Questions, to see if anyone knows the answer.

Captain Mako: A horrible shark monster.

    Frostfire: Looks pretty normal.

    The DE: Horrible gigantic monsters.

So.... going from that.... looks like we're getting some freaky monstrous stuff.
    DE's science though.
  18. My screen shot of the team.

    From left to right:

    Dan McNinja
    Richard
    (Jeriko)
    Othar Tryggvassen
    Jade Fontaine
    Riff
    (T Major)
    Grench

*Characters in () were last minute pickups, and did not have a web comic origin.
  19. Damn, I was afraid of that. There were issues during the live feed, our stream cut out a couple of times (I believe it's been resolved). I'll make the same offer I did when the Archives were down, if any of you want to hear your audio file, PM me an e-mail address and I'll try to send it your way.

  21. An update:

    1) M I Abrahms
    2) Bamahulk
    3) Kyo
    4) Mr Grey
    5) Archiviste
    6) Rastafari man
    7)
    8) Sooner

We're still short one, but it shouldn't be too tough to get someone last minute. And since it's Lady Grey, there's a Tailor right there for them to get 'in costume'.

  23. The show airs tonight at 7PM Eastern. The arcs reviewed are listed in my post above.
  24. If you miss the actual show, it's archived for a full week after, so you can listen at your leisure.
