'Titan Network' is a just fancy name for the sharing of resources among a group of fan sites. Things like server hosting, web design, programming, and so on. The stuff that's hard to justify the expense or time involved for a single site, but spread out across several, lets those sites continue to exist when they otherwise couldn't. Several of them have been long abandoned by their creators, but are kept alive regardless.

I used to be vaguely distrustful of 'Titan' sites because of the mildly corporate groupthink vibe it gave off, but later I found out that it's all volunteer run. It wasn't until the wiki moved over that I really took a look, and it turns out that these days it has a good crew running things.
  2. Funny thing is I have one of these missions that I've been hanging onto for quite some time... About when day jobs came out, I think, because I used to use the mission teleporter with it to log out in the shard for the day job there.

After Issue 21, now my Kora fruit mission is in the back of a van... in Atlas Park...

Not quite as buggy as radio missions get across issue -- still the same cave, but at the wrong door. Just one of those things I guess.

    Not necessarily.

Brute taunts have a 15' radius, but the radius on the -range effect is set to 0, effectively making it single target (unless two enemies somehow occupy the exact same space).

Interestingly, I noticed several oddities about it.

First is that the -range effect is not limited to PvE only. That means that the range debuff is autohit in PvP, even if the taunt effect itself misses. This appears to be intentional.

Second, there's a combat log message for PvP: "PLAYER partially hits you with their Taunt! Your range is reduced but the Taunt is not successful!" However, there's a small bug: It doesn't have the radius limited, so it will show up for everyone who was caught in the Taunt AoE but missed their to-hit check, regardless of if their range was debuffed by the single target effect or not. It also shows up if the streakbreaker forced a hit of the primary effect, when it shouldn't.

Finally, Street Justice, Claws, Broad Sword, Katana, and Kinetic Melee are missing the extra "partially hit" message for PvP.
  4. I'm not 100% sure if this is intentional or not (see the "Hero Skin Borked" thread). If it is, I also would like to see it reverted, as the link at the top takes you to the start of the thread, which is really annoying as it's usually not what you want.

The RSS feeds of the dev and community digests are broken, also. The raw HTML of the table is getting inserted into the RSS, which doesn't work.

Note: If they fix the RSS, and actually add the contents of the post to the RSS feed (it was blank before), then I don't actually care what the digest page itself looks like.

  7. First of all: I would love to see this, I really would. I have two accounts, mostly for extra character slots (this was before the days of purchasable slots). It might be nice to migrate some characters from the second account to the first, now that I can get more slots there, and also now that the Paragon Market has so many account-specific things I don't want to pay double for.

However, that said, I don't think it's ever going to happen. The Big Elephant of MMOs allows some limited transfers between accounts. They must either both be on their equivalent of a master account, or the last names on the account have to match (which is not something you can easily change once an account is created).

That feature is used all the time for RMT. Leveling services, character sales, you name it, it's big business there. There are sites dedicated to buying and selling characters -- and many of them were stolen from hacked accounts (which is also a very big problem there).

Limiting it to master account only might be enough to stop some of that, but I guarantee people would find loopholes.

    Tweak LFG?

Same with the bases. It would seriously screw things up if you were int he middle of editing and got yanked out via the queue.
I'd be fine if the mission reset because a queue popped while I was in it. I suspect most people who want that feature wouldn't be too bothered by it either.

As for base editing, the editor crashes to the desktop all the time and doesn't destroy my base, it can't be that bad. Worst case they could always disable base editing while in LFG.

TW is in the current Live build. Not just "enabled" yet.

It was available as a selectable power set this morning (6:45 AM CST). It behaved the same way as Street Justice did before it was enabled. It allowed you to click on the cart icon then it went to an "UNKNOWN SKU" error via the character creator.

What I suspect happened was, the alterations Synapse made to the set last week (renaming and such) have not been brought over to the Live. And since today's patch really didn't do much, except fix some of the cosmetic issues we were having with weapon sets (including Titan Weapons), I assume it'll be corrected in time for next week's patch.

I mean, we've only got three more Tuesdays before Thanksgiving and one of those will be the Pilgrim hat. Hopefully not just the Pilgrim hat, but with stuff like this week, I wouldn't be surprised.
I think today was maybe going to be the day that it was "supposed" to be released, assuming no major issues were found when it was tested.

Two things probably stopped that: 1. The snafu with it not enabling on the test server when they wanted, and the testing of the Halloween trial precluding taking test down to work on it, so the start of testing was delayed. 2. Issues were found with the performance of the set at low levels, and with Build Up being ultimately self-defeating because of momentum.

The second one, Synapse has some changes that went into beta a week or so ago, but one of those later got reverted (and as far as I know, the reversion has NOT made it to beta yet). It'll take a while to re-test, and to separate the changes from the rest of issue 21.5.

    Give it a month.

Temp power, one-use. I'd consider that...
Temp power, one use, gives you a permanent debuff that prevents the character from being rezzed. Ever.

    See if anyone buys it

No, those would be the lame items in the second part of the sentence...
  13. I do say I have to feel sorry for the devs a little. They release lots of awesome items in a row and everybody complains that there's too much and they don't want to spend more money. Then they release lame items like these and everybody complains about it because they're used to awesome items.

    Just can't win

Somebody on beta brought up yesterday that link doesn't work anymore there. So I'm thinking... no.
  15. That's exactly it, this was a last-minute sub-in because they had to push back titan weps.

It won't be. I think it might have originally been the plan to release it today, but Synapse ended up making a bunch of changes to it based on player feedback, and not all of those have even made it to beta yet.
  18. Could also be a caching proxy at the ISP level getting confused.

In my experience they tend to be a lot more commonly used by European ISPs since so much traffic ends up crossing transatlantic links.

At least this one can be soloed, all you need is 3 free accounts to pad the team so you can start it.

And to think it wasn't too long ago that they introduced new difficulty settings so you didn't have to find fillers anymore... Ah well.

Not really. AFAIK when a faction doesn't have any quantum enemies, voids get substituted in their place.

So really it just means the devs didn't think about it. They probably didn't even remember quantums existed when they designed first ward (and they wouldn't make sense there anyway).

Totally agree that not all groups should be eligible for this. The mechanic is outdated and ought to be removed or scaled back to 'occasionally, when it makes sense'.

IIRC, Genin used to get an archery attack and a quiver on their back from Train Ninjas. At some point it was removed and changed to another Shuriken power. Later the visual change was removed since the quiver no longer made sense, and another was never added in its place.

This old version of the paragon wiki page has it:

I like clicking the random button, but perversely, as they have added more and more costume parts the effects have become worse. It would be nice to click randomly and go "I like that bit, lock it." then click random again.
I really wish they'd find a way to weight the 'Random' button better.

Right now, it seems as if it's seeing that there's say, 5 head categories, that there's an equal chance that it will pick 'Normal Heads' as it will 'Monstrous Heads'. Since normal has hundreds of combinations under it, and Monstrous has like... 5, you see a lot of repetition clicking the random button.
