It's ok Sarrate and Static. I really appreciate your support for my stance on that issue. In this case though, I assume this animation was just for another avatar for TA, much like the all the different avatar variations of his piece that Altoholic Monkey has already made for him too. The artwork modification issue only bothers me when people completely work over the piece with another process (i.e. inking a pencil piece, coloring an inked piece, etc.). Changes like that potentially confuse unknowledgable viewers from identifying whose work it really is. If it has my name on it, it should really only represent me. As for forum avatars though, they're made from already completed pieces and they're just for fun so they're fine by me! The lightning effects look pretty cool jeaf7!

Fight Club is one of my favorite movies. So several years back I rendered a GILL BATES soap bar in Maya. I wanted to add bubbles but I had too much other stuff going on at the time so I never got back to it. Don't laugh too hard...

Static Your piece will be on the list when I launch MMOART Toons in the next few weeks. It was supposed to be launched this month but the huge response to our anniversary events has slowed it down a bit. I have a wonderful idea in store for you too. Ill send you a PM later this evening!

WoW great AV's so far! Yes you have to wear it through the month of September. We will then compile all the avatars we have collected at the end of the month and choose one FTW!

Yawn...Stretch...Creeeak... Good Morning everyone! Man we had such a great time yesterday. I want to thank you all for making our First Annual MMOART.com Costume Contest a HUGE success. A big THANKS & HUGS to our teammate Evelyn Spider who helped us orginize and host this event. I would also like to thank our guest judges Missy K, Black Mute, and Feral Kat for making some of those extremely hard decisions a bit easier for us. We got a chance to meet so many boardies and clients in game, and that’s always really cool!

In fact the Anniversary Celebration Events were such a huge success that we have decided to have a different contest every month until our Second Annual Celebration. The first monthly event will be posted Monday August 28th, right after we post the winners of the Costume Contest.

For the people that forgot, we tried to post reminder threads but they all got mod slapped. However we did send reminder e-mails to the people on our mailing list. Yeah by stylized cartoons I mean my drawing style of cartoons lol. I'm hoping to have several pieces that will be used as samples finished within the week and then the site will be ready to launch.

Oh my man Graver I feel your pain!!!! Last weekend I’m blowing through the digital paint project I’m working on and as I save my progress the program dies corrupting the file. Man I let out a W T F unlike the world has ever heard. Lush walks into the studio and sees what’s going on and her jaw hits the floor. A W T F!?! Thought bubble explodes from her head! So I can’t work on it for the remaining 3 hours in my already 18 hour day due to my wonderful mood. So I pick it up fresh the next morning and decide to use the iterative save feature in Painter, which basically saves a new numbered version of the file every time you save. So I'm back to work now 16 files deep/2gig project folder into my new save strategy. My stomach is calling me names so I decide I better feed the beast. I save my progress and go grab a quick bite. I’ve quelled the beast and I’m going back to work sipping my fresh cup of coffee with "I am about to polish this huge piece off" stamped across my forehead...16 doesn’t open. I think well hey let me open it in Photoshop because the error was about an unsupported blend layer of some sort...doesn’t open. Hmph let me open number 15 as I pat myself on the back prematurely for saving multiple copies of the piece...doesn’t open. I let out an audible growl and open 14...It opens. It was the last save the day before, so I basically lost another complete day of work! Now this has only happened once or twice in the last year so I honestly cant get too pissed. I have one more trick up my sleeve to try and get 15 or 16 to open /e crossesfingers.

I really don’t want to get into name calling and make this into a big thing. Basically someone has been ripping some of our site copy and certain aspects of our site design for quite awile. While the site design aspect is not a big deal it just shows a lack of creativity of said imitators. However copying text that we spent the time putting together to appeal to our clients/audience the "MMOART" way, is just not cool. I think in such an artistic market originality and integrity is a necessity. I just fear that they are often overlooked for the sake of convenience.
