What else do you have that you can't fit in hibernate?
-
the 7.5% boosts from set bonuses are NOT the same as the LotG 7.5% boosts. They have different names, and thus you can have 10 total 7.5% boosts.

Slotting for knockback on most of your attacks instead of damage will not help you, infact it may get you killed. Invincibility relies on foes being close to you, and by knocking them away you lose the defense buffs. Also you will take longer to defeat foes, and scatter them making team's aoe attacks less effective- again adding more time to defeat foes. More time with foes being alive is more attacks headed your way. Foes that are not near you will not continually be taunted by Invincibility and start attacking your weaker teammates.

The visual differences are actually pretty huge - the better textures alone will take up alot more memory, not to mention the geometry taking up more render/processor time.
Floating trash is most likely done in a pretty resource cheap manner I would suspect. -
Weave is useful when not surrounded by enemies for Invincibility (IE a lone AV or EB or something).

Slotting FH is a good idea since it's got a few things going for it : set bonus mule, unqiues mule, twice as strong as health, plays a large part in your overall regeneration. Slotting health is pretty optional on a scrapper, I typically run it with one extra slot so I can fit in 2 numina pieces and then what ever uniques I want.
MoG will do fine on two total slots in build with some +rech and the set bonuses you had worked out to be less useful than placing the slots elsewhere. -
I think you posted in the wrong thread AirHammer....
OP: if you move two slots from Moment of Glory and put them into Fast Healing for a common heal IO and the Regenerative Tissue unique you will get 70% more +regen than using 2 of each defense set in MoG. MoG doesn't need defense slotting .
Also I'm not sure you need the set you have in Quick Recovery and Stamina, Performance Shifter might work better overall.
Aside form that the build looks pretty good. -
willpower is amazing for survival with a few pool powers and IO choices, you don't need mitigation from the secondary very much. As such, Ice is a pretty bad choice IMO since the trade of for better damage is the increased control aspect of Ice powers - which you don't need on a WP tank.
I'd suggest choosing Axe/Mace/Fire instead. -
Actually it is much more logically sound to acquire more defense, more hp and more resistance instead of more +regen on a regen based toon.
Multiple thin layers of survivability work better than just a strong single layer.
Consider that a build can regen 45 hp /sec. Lets assume that you could do one of two things : add 3% defense or add 2 hp/sec more regen.
Next we'll setup the situation : 5 even con minions attacking you with a 100 damage attack.
(50-def)*(1+acc) = 50% CTH * 100 damage = 50 damage per foe * 5 = 250 damage
Assuming the minions do this every 4 seconds that is 62.5 damage per second
62.5 - 45 = 17.5, 2400 / 17.5 = 137 seconds until you die (not counting Recon)
Now lets see how the defense would work:
(50-3)*(1+acc) = 47% CTH * 100 damage = 47 damage per foe * 5 = 235 damage
Assuming the minions do this every 4 seconds that is 58.75 damage per second
58.75 - 45 = 13.75, 2400 / 13.75 = 178 seconds til you die (not counting Recon)
Now lets see how the +regen would work:
(50-3)*(1+acc) = 50% CTH * 100 damage = 47 damage per foe * 5 = 250 damage
Assuming the minions do this every 4 seconds that is 62.5 damage per second
62.5 - 27 = 15.5, 2400 / 15.5 = 154 seconds til you die (not counting Recon)
As you can see, having defense (even at such a small amount) improved the survival time more than some regen buffs would. By reducing incoming damage you make the regen you already have alot more effective than you would by simply adding more regen. -
The correct answer to your question is : hell no.
Why? Because server mergers are done on a financial basis not on the whims of a small fraction of one server's population. You want a higher population server, go play on one.
Would it be nice to see more people around for pve, yes. Merging servers isn't the issue, it's global game population. Getting more people to play in general is how you increase server population properly. -
4 slotting Reactive Armor in resistance toggles with 4 slotting kinetic combat in melee attacks can help get you 10-15% s/l defense. Taking tough/weave/combat jumping and slotting the steadfast +def IO gets you 15% def to all, so you'd be at ~30% s/l and then you could slot 2 sets of BoZ in CJ and SJ for 6.26% more r/aoe (21.26% total). Next you can slot 2 or 3 pbaoe powers with sirocco's dervish for 3.13% aoe def each (another 6.26-9.39%) and your aoe def will be up around 30-33%.
On top of this you have cloak of darkness which will push you up to around 35-38% s/l/aoe def.
I typically find that to be sufficient on teams because you also have the weaken combo and sweep combo to limit damage as well as oppressive gloom and cloak of fear. Using weaken+CoF will add around 10% -tohit which essentially will push you up to the 40-45% "effective" defense range for s/l/aoe. (*effective in that the -tohit will be resisted by higher rank/con foes). -
So I got a new Netgear WNDR 3300 router and WNDA 3100 adapter. They work great, faster internet loading faster ingame market loading with no crashes - however it's sporadic and doesn't stay functioning 100% of the time
The software will say I'm connected and running at like 216 mbps but I won't be able to load any websites. I don't get it....any ideas? -
now, my brothers computer is hooked up via wire to the router itself, mine is the wireless connection. Will his computer be any faster with an N router compared to a G router ?
Obviously mine won't unless I also get a dual band adapter. -
Also of note is that damage procs have similar DPS to a straight damage IO/SO in the aura until you hit 95% damage enhancement.
-
It seems fine for me, I mow down groups with Follow Up - > Spin -> Eviscerate-> Fireball -> Follow Up with no real issues.
-
There must be some wireless users out there to help me ?
-
My router (an old netgear b/g router) has been making high pitch noises for the past week, so I'm looking to upgrade to an N router.
The question is : which one should I get and what USB adapters do I need to go with it ? -
And in related news: once everyone jumps on this to cause a scarcity, Santorican will profit off of his current horde of recipes.
-
I respecced into a brawl attack chain and altered my slotting such that I now have 23% s/l def, 35% e/n def and 74.5 hp/sec regen.
With RTTC full I get 167 hp/sec, which starts to be necessary in the +3 and +4 level range when facing non s/l damage. -
I regen 70 hp/sec w/o RTTC and something like 170 hp/sec with it full. I also have 3212 (IE capped) HP.
I could probably min/max it and hit around 80-90 hp/sec but you really only need around 50-60 hp /sec with sufficient def/res values. -
Quote:ACK! I'm confused! We should already have most of the animations needed for such things : we already have a swimming animation, it would need to be adjusted for vertical movement though. We also have fly animations which would work just fine for fighting underwater.I'm going to kill everyone's pony and say that as long as I am on this project, it will never happen. They will have to replace me with a gibbering idiot to get the okay to move forward with animation and VFX needed to support 'underwater' zones.
And then it will take years and ultimately look stupid.
P.S. Aquaman is lame!
So other than making water effects, what do we need ?
* I'm ignorant of how things are actually coded and such in the game, common sense is what I'm using to examine Bab's claims here and I could be wrong. -
when i saw that first promo pic, I didn't notice the TARDIS and instead thought " OMG they are making a Sandman movie and this guy is Dream W000T!".
I too an not happy at the bowtie 'look' but I'm really thinking Matt will pull of making it work. -
a WP tank with tough/weave, combat jumping and the steadfast unique should be able to handle most groups at +2 and some at +3 if there are few bosses without ever possibly dying. Adding in set IOs will push you up to +3 easy and +4/+5 should be survivable for long enough to have your team's defender/controller heal you or have your team clear out enough mobs to make you sustainable.

ack! so you don't play the same game - she likes games and doctor who - passing that up may mean you never find love!!! oh noes!!!!
