It does cause redraw just like using any other out-of-powerset power. If it doesn't bother you, though, then go for it.

Yes, it causes redraw, but the redraw on claws is short. I use Energy Torrent as part of my attack chain all the time, and I hardly notice the redraw.

I have Kat/SR/Blaze and the redraw when using Fireball or Fireblast havent really bothered me (i assume the redraw on Kat is atleast as long as with claws, maybe longer?) So, while the Blaze mastery causes redraw, i think you will have to test it yourself to see if your ok with it or not.
I've been curious about this too. Anyone happen to have a video showing the redraw?
I love claws, and the only thing keeping me from leveling one has been the lack of a large radius aoe, which fireball solves. So if the redraw isn't too bad I might try it.
As per BAB, claws redraw time is 19 frames or about .63 seconds. When dealing with tight attack chains, that's a HUGE chunk of time.
If you're not overly concerned about that hit to DPS, then it won't matter.

It seems fine for me, I mow down groups with Follow Up - > Spin -> Eviscerate-> Fireball -> Follow Up with no real issues.
I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.
And a note...just remember Spines doesn't lose out on dps when you redraw...sooo...all that AOE from Spines, combined with Fire Ball = YUMMY!

yea i tested it on the test server it was ok with me at first but then it got annoying

does fire blast cause redraw with claws?
or should i not worry since claws has a fast activation?
