I'm not familiar with this shield, how do you earn it?

Earn the Predator day job (log out in a PvP zone, +7.5% recharge) along with the Duelist day job (log out at an arena, +4 points of Endurance). This will earn you the Gladiator accolade which gives the Combat Shield power.

Awesome, thanks! -

Hm, I hadn't considered the -KB on Fences. Turboman relies on knockdown from Lightning Rod and Thunderstrike quite a bit.
Lightning and Ball Lightning still sound pretty awesome though.
Any opinions on the pet? -
Turboman, my Electric/Energy Brute is level 40 and just got the Mirage badge from Scirocco. I definitely want Electric Fences, being able to lock down spawns for better use of Lightning Rod and Thunderstrike sounds awesome.
How about Mu Lightning, Ball Lightning and Summon Striker however? This is my first high level villain so I've rarely even seen these powers in use. I was wondering how these powers work on Brutes and how useful they really are. -
I'm not sure if its possible, but I would love for the Radio/Paper missions to be ordered by proximity. The first mission would be the closest to you, the second the next closest, and so on.
-
Seriously? City of Heroes can generate much MUCH worse shots than that.
It must have been comparing CoH to CO, which if that's the case they might want to hire a few dozen new mods soon. -
Basically, you've got to get "something". Right now you have nothing and you're asking for others to join you.
Hm, maybe you could start a small website? Name it "steamproject.com" or something like that. Set up a message board and get people discussing a steampunk MMO.
If your website was able to attract considerable attention you may be able to get some talent together to work up some concept art. -
I appreciate your dream, but I think you have to realize there's another step. You don't simply say "My dream is a Steampunk MMO, I want others to do it."
Go to college, get an appropriate degree, meet people in the industry (networking and such), then start working on getting your dream running.
Asking for free help in an MMO forum isn't going to get your dream made. -
I don't mean to shoot down your dream or anything, but here's one example of how much it costs to produce an MMO.
That's right, it cost $103 million to produce Tabula Rasa, RIP.
So, if we're talking a "cheap" MMO you're probably looking at $10,000,000 to produce. Do you have any sort of credentials, like a degree in game design? You'll definitely need at least something to even get a company to meet with you. -
I rolled up a new character just for this, his name is Chanceux, he's a Bots/FF Mastermind that will be turning hero first chance.
-
This has inspired me to roll up my own diety, still undecided on what it will be, tho. I've been addicted to Brutes lately, maybe a /WP brute.

I prefer whalers....on the moon.
We're whalers on the moon
We carry a harpoon
But there aint no whales
So we tell tall tales
And sing our happy tune! -
?!?!?!
I thought there was only one and I got some crappy ending showing Stryker walking down the road. -
I saw it last night and really enjoyed it. I thought X3 was a mildly entertaining but poorly executed movie, but Wolverine was much more X1/2 quality.
My main gripe is the same as TA's, this movie was begging to be Rated R. Just some blood on the claws would've helped out a lot.
I'm sure the inevitable Deadpool movie will use the same lolscience X-Men comics have been using for decades to explain away the extra powers, so I have no problem with them. They made for an awesome final fight scene. -
I fixed the problem. I read over the storyarc file and found a mention of the thought to be removed custom group after the last mission of my arc.
I was hesitant to delete it, but I figured if this didn't work I would have to redo everything anyway. I deleted then checked it out in game and my file size is now 77%, woot! -
Yikes, I really don't want to redo this arc entirely. It wouldn't take nearly as long to do and I suppose I could copy/paste everything into a doc and redo it, but still, that would be a lot of needless work.
However, if I can't get this file size to correct itself I'll have to. I deleted that group thinking I could add some more baddies to my "Huvan" group. As it stands Huvan only has 2 minions and 1 lieutenant. Without being able to add to the Huvan group, my arc is pretty bland. -
First I removed anywhere they existed in the arc. Then I went to the My Groups tab and deleted them there.
-
I'm working on a 4 mission arc with several custom groups. Of course, size is very much a problem (that's what she said).
I was able to rationalize removing one of the larger groups to free up some space. However, after removing them from the story, the file size did not drop at all.
I even deleted that group completely and still no change. Anyone know why this would be? -
I think this is a good idea, nice thinking!

My new character Astralist looks a lot like Psych-Out, I love the High Collar Cape combined with the simple look of tights.
Introducing my new mage, Astralist. -
I was wondering what the Natural Origin Booster would be, how do you represent that in a booster pack?
Gangster doesn't seem too fitting though, and can't we already make a pretty good Gangster costume now? -
I would imagine when it comes up there will be two options:
City of Heroes: Architect Edition
$19.99
Comes with One Month Game Time and a Code for purchasing either Super Booster 1 or 2
and
Super Booster II: Magic
$9.99
Unlocks Magic Pack -
Forgive if this has been clarified already, lots of pages to sift through and I might've missed it:
Will I be able to go to Wal-Mart tomorrow, Tuesday the 14th, and buy the new box? -
My apologies everyone, I just assumed this was another way to introduce my arc to my friends on this board. I am working on a poster for my arc, just haven't had the time yet.
But lazy, stupid, selfish? Really? Yikes.
