This issue includes two new powersets. Those powersets need to be balanced. Let's say there's a bug that makes Willpower or Dual Blades too powerful.

In closed beta, only a couple hundred people got to play the godmode and being an open beta, the fix is expected.

In open beta, a lot of people play the set, and when the set is fixed to perform in the level it was intended, thousands of people cry "NERF!!!"

A bit of more or less related advice: know your weaknesses and don't let others exploit them.

Example 1: I'm on the zone with my radiation defender. A brute asks me to duel and I accept; but then he insists doing it under a bridge where my maneuverability will be highly impaired and he'll be able to close to melee easily, and calls me a chicken if I move out of the 'cage'. In the open, I can move freely out of melee range and debuff his butt. I don't need my abilities crippled.

Example 2: I'm on my peacebringer (mostly energy damage) and an electric brute taunts me to duel him. Electric armor soaks up energy damage; there's not a chance in hell of me doing enough damage, and the brute knows it. I'm not interested in a fight where the odds are immensely against me.

There are other examples, but they all boil down to the same thing: if you're trying to have a good duel with someone, don't accept conditions that cripple your abilities. Don't give in to taunting. A player who's looking for easy targets is most of the time the same player who will gloat afterwards about how much he rules and how much you suck. Don't give them the chance and you'll save yourself a lot of frustration.

I swear I read the announcement. My brain decided to forget the details between the reading and posting the question, which still applies: all the redname posts in COV general that have been saved from forum purges will be lost?

Edit: saved _from_ forum purges, not _by_ forum purges. I think I might need sleep.

I'm assuming City Life will be a new forum which will open containing only the 'saved' threads. This leads to a question: what happens to all the threads with redname posts in COH/COV General that were saved from forums purges? Are they going bye-bye?

Oh, and I'd like to ask that the Splasher sticky is *not* copied over. It has too many pages discussing old stuff that was already solved, so I'd prefer to start a new thread in the City Life forums when they open. I like fresh starts.

I personally prefer to put the flypose on the W key itself, so it activates when I tap forward while flying. For example:

/bind w "+forward$$e flypose2"

Since the emote only activates while flying, binding it to your forward key really does not change anything at all when you're not flying.

I suppose the kind of answer where they don't want the exact workings on the command out. If they say "It logs the last 10 lines of chat from the ignored target; if the 10 lines match [or are close enough] the target is autosilenced until we investigate", the target could send 9 different tells to himself between each spam, or something similar.

My guess is the Scoop staff is taking time to play the 24/7 Tabula Rasa beta week and said "screw COH".

Note the current "winners" in the hero select screen and villain charselect screens: they both entered with one screen each. Quality, not quantity.

(Honestly I wanted to do it with one item per screen but I doubt the forum could have handled that many items per question. I'm surprised it handled 17 for the hero login one.)
