The Devs really, really, like No-Pants, so I think it's pretty obvious that, barring a Statesman resurrection, she's likely to step in his spot to keep up numbers. However, even if she does, that doesn't mean she'd have his place in the group. Leadership would probably be passed on to Positron, or Manticore, or something.
Of course, it's also equally possible that the Freedom Phalanx will simply dissolve after all this. The group as a whole isn't really featured much outside of the LRSF, and I wouldn't be terribly surprised, especially given events off SSA4 causing a certain other change, if the LRSF and STF were simply totally revamped/replaced and moved to Ouroboros, in response to this event. -
Not bad, but I don't see it as something I'll be buying when it hits, especially since hats do too many funky things with hair color. I wonder if it might be part of a whole "colonial" pack or something of that nature. They could stick the Pilgrim hat in it too.

I've become quite fond of the attuned enhancers...will probably have to buy a few this round, but not so many, if only because it being Christmastime, and all, budget's a little bit tight.
Hopefully these special sales will keep coming, though, especially now that I know I don't have to buy the whole sets. I do admit I wish I'd known that a month ago, so I wouldn't have all these useless Basilisk's Gaze procs in my inventory now. -

The store is not set up to allow it. The devs are "aware" that people would like it, but that's about as far as can be said at this point.

Quote:It's not a huge bother in terms of execution, but (a)it's probably what we need to fix the copy tool as well and (b)I don't think customer service has much to gain from the fact that "forum maintenance" has become a running gag.Honestly, it makes little difference to me, I do not seem to be experiencing disruptive problems with the forums at the moment. But c'mon, 3 weeks in a row we've been notified about maintenance that hasn't happened? And I realize it is probably not folks at Paragon Studios to blame. So whoever IS to blame, make sure they get a swift kick in the hind parts for making you guys look bad.

Wiki'd it myself, here we go:
From Ghost Widow's arc:
Quote:And from Scirocco's:You found this hand-carved plaque on a pile of rubble in the strange future Arachnos sent you to. It reads:
'This marks the spot on which the final battle occurred. After the Arachnos war, the second Rikti war, the Council War, the Nemesis War, the Rikti Civil War, and the final Arachnos War, here did the Destined One and Lord Recluse fight their final battle. With their death, the wars ended, but the world had already passed away. All that is left to this world is chaos and we, the isolated scraps of humanity. We have no home, no community, no pleasure, and no peace. As for hope, it exists only in memory.'
The date on the plaque is for 15 years from when you left. And buried beneath the rubble below the plaque, you can see the wrecked form of one of Lord Recluse's armored spider-arms, still clutched in the grasp of your own skeletal hand
Quote:'Scirocco told me you'd arrive around now. It's ironic, but now we few members of the Circle are the last living things here, in our stolen bodies. Soon even those will die, and all life will pass from this world. It all went wrong shortly after Statesman fell to Lord Recluse. Recluse had tried so hard to make it happen, that he hadn't realized that many people had begun to look at you as the most poweful villain in the organization. While the heroes were divided and leaderless, Recluse tried to do away with you. I suppose this is what happens when he failed. Arachnos split. Scirocco tried to calm the fighting, and was killed by Ice Mistral. She was killed by Ghost Widow, and then chaos erupted as Arachnos fought a deadly civil war. Then the Council attempted a power play, and Nemesis moved to counter them. The heroes split into factions as they tried to handle the situation in different ways. Soon everyone was fighting. When the Rikti tried to strike, even they soon fell into a brutal civil was that still rages on their world. And now, all that's left here are the restless dead.
But there might be a way to keep this from happening. We must find Dr. Aeon. He's been trying to find a way to stop this all from happening, but I think the pressure's getting to him. Still, I am certain you can get some information from him that just might keep the world from dying.'
Quote:You never thought you'd see Silver Mantis get emotional, but she was happy to see you, and nearly broke down as she told you what happened:
"Ernesto, I mean Black Scorpion told me you'd show up here and now. Welcome to the end of the world. All that's left are the dead and the machines. After you helped Lord Recluse make the future he wanted come true, many in Arachnos saw you as their true leader. Soon, Arachnos was ripping itself apart. Scorpion joined your side, and I went with him. We thought that with the heroes leaderless, we would have time to settle the conflict, but then Nemesis made a bid for world conquest, and The Center moved the Council to counter him. The heroes broke into factions over how best to fight us all, and the wars didn't stop. Group after group was caught up in the calamity, even the Rikti weren't immune. Their seond invasion turned into a genocidal civil war. Now their world is even deader than this one. In the end, all that's left are the intelligent machines, their human slaves, and the surviving Rikti refugees. Even Ernesto is dead... The whole world is gone...
But Ernesto told me that I could show you how it might be undone. We have to find Dr. Aeon! He plans to go back in time and kill you, but that won't work. Recluse will just find another "Destined One". However, Aeon has planned out all the junction points! If you can get that from him, maybe then you'll know how to keep this from happening.
If a future must die, I'd rather it was this one. Ernesto and I loved each other, in our own way, but I could not understand that until he was gone. I would prefer not to live with that pain." -
It's in the final patron arc, Time After Time. I'm not sure it's in all of them, though (since each patron sends you to a slightly different time frame). I think it's in Black Scorpion's, but don't recall for sure.
Edit: Also, note that Time After Time cannot be done in Ouroboros last I checked, but you can probably get the info from Paragon Wiki. -
Quote:People are going out of their way to watch John Houston?!Here is how I see it:
Obviously, people in Primal Earth have been haxxoring Praetorian cableboxes to get Praetorian channels and shows for free.
The Invasion by Cole is the application of the anti-piracy warnings that everyone has ignored.
Primal TV must be horrible. -
Quote:To be fair, the partial quotes in the Community digest have resulted in Z outright spoiling it to anyone who just happened to be browsing that, whether they entered this topic or not.Well, anyone with the slightest bit of common sense can see that the title is a SPOILER tag all by itself. A Death Revealed....
On the other hand, I don't know why, but spoilers never meant much in this game to me, so I don't see what all the griping is about.
On the other other hand, they did mod the title of Ultimus' thread from this past weekend because of spoilers, so you'd think they'd have a little more concern over their own... -
The key is that since they're parallel worlds, they have the same weather on the same days! Hence, by having more reliable weather reports (or just, perhaps, the cuter weather girl), Tyrant can start getting people to tune in to TPN via Interdimensional Dish Network, slowly seeding it with pro-Praetorian propaganda, and take over Primal earth. Our only salvation is letting Nemesis control the weather...wait......

The death of Professor X/Age of Apocalypse X-Men arc back in the '90s seemed to be pretty well-liked and well-remembered. Though that was a leeeeetle different in terms of what ended up happening.

Quote:I mentioned this in the discussion of part 3, but I'm really hoping, given the insight to her thinking that we get from her mirror-self in Dominatrix, and Longbow's utter lack of respect for the law as it applies to themselves, I fully hope/expect her to go into raging vigilante mode.I wonder what Ms. Liberty's mental state will be like by the end of this arc?
Quote:And Desdemona will also be affected. -
My villain better damn well be the one pulling the trigger. S'all I can say.
And as for questions:
"Does this mean Maria's arc is getting retconned again?"
and
"Will the new splash screen feature Desdemona facing off against pants?"
I think those are both the first and foremost ones that spring to my mind. -
Quote:Since you brought up the subject, Z, is this confirmation that future tier-9 VIP sets will all be three token as well, so there won't be a point to "saving" more than three tokens at a time? Can I get that confirmed in writing? It takes 3 Reward Tokens to complete a set. Because the sets are going to be available overlapping with the successive offerings, I'm confident many players will find they have spare tokens, "leftover" so to speak.

Color me surprised. In some ways, he was kind of the obvious choice, and there was that little "giveaway" in the name of the loyalty event, but the fact that he's all over the freaking was keeping him safe, I thought. Is that going to be redone? Or are we going to have a character who's not in the game plastered over the splash screen still after the arc ends?
Also interesting is that he dies with two chapters left. The general knowledge that the heroes must fail in an arc like this, I think, had a lot of people feeling kind of bummed, but since we now know there are two more chapters afterwards, that still gives a much better chance to "put things right". -
The new news is good, but it's still not solving the "exclusive costumes" problem. Until that is, it's like one of those mathematical limit things (yeah, I'm a language guy, not a math guy, so sue me). It can approach "good", but never hit it.
-
I think, first and foremost, Titan Weapons still needs a giant chainsaw.
-
These are from the Celestial set that's currently in the tier-9 VIP veteran rewards. Once you unlock them, they appear as backpacks under the back details category. However, since you can't buy them in the store, they don't appear in costume creator at all unless they've been unlocked.

I'm not a particularly good judge of other people's builds, but I'll note that Chrono Shift has indeed been fixed for Defenders. And your assumption about its durations are correct. The +Recharge lasts the full time, but the Endurance buff and gradual heal do not.

Maelstrom's guns move the "box" part a little further back, and as noted, have a different tint, but beyond that, I honestly can't tell the difference. Heck, I didn't know they weren't one of the default models in the first place until it was announced they'd be a drop. But hey, that just means I'm one less person you're competing with on the market, right?
-
Quote:And as I understand it, he always drops them, so the drop should be guaranteed to go to someone on each defeat, if you're going to use that justification.I understand the justification. Maelstrom loses one pistol at a time, so if you are lucky enough to get the drop
It's just a re-tinted Match Compensator, though, so, eh.
