Hey, I'm John Q. Player and I'm interested in writing for the Scoop. I have an idea for a new section/ I would like to help out _______ with their section. Here is an example of my work.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

I saw the doohickey at the grocery store the other day. It was labelled, and I'm not making this up, 'Beer in the butt chicken'.
[/ QUOTE ]
They stole that name from my aunt, who has been making "Beer in the Butt" Chicken for OVER 30 years now. -
I would SOOO love to go!!!! D&B is one of my favorite places, been to Dallas and Denver. AND it's on my birthday, but, alas, I can't go I'm stuck in AZ

I love the idea of the "source material".

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those player who helped with the "IMHO" series. Even if your information didn't make it to the final drafts, those articles could not have been written without your contribution. Many, many thanks to Mr_Grey and Grey's Army, QuietAmerican and The Artful Dodgers, Burning_Brawler, Captain_Photon, Kid_Whip, and anyone else I forgot.

I'm getting tired of the artwork of characters making out. The occasional husband-and-wife team I can understand, but the pic of a random character smooching Ms Liberty irritated me for some reason. Could we keep our superheroic sex fantasies out of the City Scoop?
[/ QUOTE ]
I guess every one wants to be Aon Flux or something. I like the pic for quality and detail, but in the back of my mind I see Statesman knocking on this guys hideout and laying the beat down on him screaming, "Don't EVER touch my granddaughter again!!!" or is it just me? However I did like the Ms. Liberty gets the beat down one from a few weeks ago.
BTW, these are MY opinions and not those of the Scoop. If you can draw, I'm sure that DirtWolf and Thors_Assassan would love to submit your work.
TTFN,

This is long, so bear with me.
LR: OK last order of business for the week. Ghost Widow, are you still taking notes?
GW: yes, my Lord.
LR: Very well, The last order of business is, What are we going to do for the Aracnos Open House as well as the traveling stage show to Warburg and the other war zones? Before I take suggestions I would like to say that, Ghost Widow, Chicago was very good last year, Wretch has a lovely singing voice, but we need to do something with more men.
GW: Yes, My Lord craby pants.
BS: My Lord, how does Starlight Express sound?
LR: Expensive costumes, but I will take it under advisement
Scirorrco : What about something new like Curtains or Spring Awakening?
LR: I think those are excellent ideas.
Maco: Why not do a staged version of an Ester Williams movie?
Scirorrco: You say that every year.
Maco: And we never do it. The Corlax are great at water ballet
RL: ENOUGH!!!! So it's settled, we are doing Headwig and the angry inch I'm directing and starring. I wonder if we could get Manticor to play Tommy Gnosis? -
I really wan to address the *clique* issue here. And the fluff/puff stuff
. Some time in May, I think it was, I sent a little letter off to Ex, explaining my wish to create a site dedicated to the food of MMOs. I have a degree in Culinary Arts and an obsession with creative food. Ex very nicely said that the Scoop might have a spot for me, though my idea did not break the EULA. I got the the Scoop and was given a VERY warm welcome.
Not to give away any trade secrets, but we have a thread on the Scoop's board, where we kick around ideas and set up our editing process, call the Application Thread. In this thread, individual Scoopies bring posters to the rest of our attention. These applicants are people who PM Marican_Tobay or people who's posts we read and think that they would make a good addition to the group. We are also BEGGING for outside submissions, constructive criticism and general help. How can that be elitist?
Our interview process? I even asked about that. I was told to hop on a server and broadcast that I was interviewing. It may work for BtM, but it didn't work for me. I ended up posting on the RP boards and got a bunch of nibbles. They happen to be from the same people who are interested in writing for the Scoop or have submitted things in the past.
As for my posting number? I joined the Scoop with about 8-10 posts, almost all of my posting has been done on the Scoop boards.
I think I will step off this soap box, for now. Thanks for all the kudos and the constructive opinions. -
Wow, the whole idea is really cool. I am totally amazed.

I like the recipes, and the stock reports on wentworths, and the black market. Seeing as I am both a villain and a hero, I need the information from both to make informed decisions about what to sell and how much to sell them for. thank you.

@NarcolepticGirl -
I was wondering the other day, watching the sun rise over the statue of Atlas, what IS the real estate market like in Paragon City? I mean I know what I pay for rent on my apartment and for my clinic office space near Chiron Medical Center, but where is, say, the most expencive place to live in our bustleing metroplex? Also, I've noticed that, even tho I live in a building with many other doctors, there is a large hero population in the building as well. I know that before War Witch permanetly moved to Croatoa (very sad) that she had a roommate in a mostly hero building in Steel Canyon. Is this common?
Anyway my main questions are
1) Where is the most/least expencive places to live in our city
and
2) Do we have a tendancy to gravitate to other heroes?
Thank you
Dr. Sue Ann MacKallister
