  1. I don't play in first person in this game at all.
Reason as mentioned above. You get more knowledge about your surroundings by scrolling out and can react better. (And know where the tank is... and the defender... and "Oh.. INC/Rezzer/Ambush!")

I thought 1000 was reasonable. The new requirement of 100 can be done easily in just a few hours.

But then again, this just means it'll be that much easier to have more than one badge hunter. Because it was so much fun, I'd be willing to do it again. (and I'm not a PvP person) lol
Depends upon the server population and activity. For me I tried grabbing as many fellow badgers as possible. But a "good" night might net me between 30-40 pillboxes. Alot of them I simply had to solo for. But not matter how you get there... one have memories

@Ironblade. Yes, you are right... How Heroic. But it was fun though.

sooo hope so. They got to get out in the city and fight "real" crime instead of just being "virtual heroes".

    I agree.
Ah them days of getting confused in Bloody bay and Sirens call and wack Longbow (as hero).
The standing around inside the Station of RV and wack the infected each 45 min (sometimes longer)... and yes me and a mate timed it and it was not each 2 hour but apperantly had a % chance after 40 min had passed. ;P
The 1000 pillboxes was a hassle to get past (glad it is reduced) thus making it more possible for me to try it on my main red sider badgecollector. Boy did i feel joyful when I could leave RV with that badge .
Fabricator before Brainstorm ideas (and then removal of them) with 10000. (That.. was ALOT of clicking!) Converting base salvage to components.

I'm with you on this, it is glad seeing it reduced. They are attainable by more with this change, but you still have to do them. And we who did it on hard... well we will still remember what we did to get them (even if we do not need to be vocal about it).
  5. This is one thing I hope for.
Then we could have the other server to stand empty and stand as back up for issues.
Then we could play as one big ParagonCity family
    Rawr
  6. For those who asked (so did I)...
I asked in a PM and got the reply and Synapse confirmed it that the Master of ... badges follow the same requirments as Master of Statesman Taskforce/Lord Recluce.
    aka
No deaths and No temp powers!

I will assume they follow the same requirements. But *holds up my hand* I want to know too.
  8. Hmm, I'm in mixed feelings about the badges. First I must say that I am delighted that many of the requirments are lowered. (Good move)

    (And here come the but)
The other feeling is.. (monthy python yeay)... When I-16 hits live I will get the rest of the "Epic" badges when I log on. (Now i'm glad that i prioritized collecting Day Job badges).
That however leaves me with the following question... What to do now?
The badges I got left to collect (must have shinies) are now just the rest of the dayjobs, some veteran badges (they will take their time) and 2 new Master OF... badges (whatever their short name will be MoITF, MoRTF/MoKahn.. whatnot)...
How I pity the Empath badge being reduced x2 times... (not really and chuckles).

But on the badgefront... what will I and those that find themselves in my position do?
What is there for us to do on the badgefront...
Probably I will end up doing them all again on alts. *sigh*
  9. Thank you Soul Storm.
    It looks very nice

Darnit.. Guess I came too late to see this "list".
  11. Hmm (looks at my own post). "Add more missions with them, make them and trolls and skulls abit more common on the isles."
Should have written "Add more POSSIBILITIES with them, make them a bit easier to to get too and the trolls and skulls abit more common on the isles."

The Shadowshard as CO-OP... hmm not sure about that idea myself. Yes it would ease getting the badges, but then it would make the zone another "here are no villains nor heroes! All are here to save the world."
...so very usure if I like that idea. Maybe give villains access to one of the zones of shadowshard... (but then the problem becomes.. give a villain an inch and (you know) ;P )
  12. Just hope the Devs wont nuke the requirments (as said earlier). Cause simply taking down one enemy and getting the badge is for me rediculus. (add easy, "whats-the-point", boring etc.)
Some badges would need some looking into (I admit) on say the red side. Like weatherman/woman. This badge is only available by doing one mission (and farming it for them bosses). Adding more missions with them would be a great start!
Same goes with Visionary (Overseers). Add more missions with them, make them and trolls and skulls abit more common on the isles. That should give us more oppertunity of getting the badge (and no nukage is needed).

This though is my plea to the Devs: Don't make things too easy (Cause easy is instant gratification, easy is boring... you get the drift). Make the hunt for the badges FUN! Perhaps even make more ways for them to be required for cool stuff.
  13. There is no way to know which badge you lack in sg mode, atleast that I know of.
Sad fact: It looks like you have to go through them all in sg mode (unless all of the sg does so and spreads out in the zone).
There are however 14 exploration badges in RWZ:
Vanguard Operative, Trespasser, Powerful, Lifesaver, Under Fire, Base Jumper, Home Wrecker, Luscious, Junkyard Dog, Scarred, Asunder, Unabashed, Eyewitness and Ace.

If you got all of these and still no RWZ transporter badge then one of the badges was gained not in sg mode. Check the list and if not, start with Ace and work through them again. Happy hunting.
  14. Have created an excel sheet myself. See linky in signature.(My Excel Badge List)
For invention and every badge in the game.
There are no macros in it.
For inventions I have put info on what is needed to make the memorization badges, rewards etc. I update it with each badge change.

(*gulps as I hear the news of badge changes* That means more editing... oboy. )
  15. About the Deletion of empowerment buffs.
That was me. I do remember that at some point it was impossible to delete them. Think the moment was at the same time as converting brainstorm ideas did not count towards badge.
Then I decided I did not want to do some progress further with my 2'd character. Since the auras kept going and they where very... not usable for roleplay. ;P
But if we are able to delete them now then ... rawr.
What I try to say is... Thanks for correcting me
  16. I agree Lothic. ("*But really it's not one of the ones I'd bother with if I had any control over which badges to pay attention to.")

But I assume once more people start to finish off the Day Job badges (assuming no more are added) then I'll start hearing about people doing them regularly again.
    *Guilty*
Yes, the day job badges do take away time from the healing badges.

3-4 hours running the same mission over and over again is a perfect definition of farming. Since they've frowned on it for all other rewards, it's nice to see that they are re-looking at badge farming.
Clarification: Not running the same mission over and over, but staying inside the same mission. Milking the 4-5 Master Illusionists. Yes.. it is repetative and it is a way of farming. For now its the quickest way of getting said badge.
  19. ...
Well the most abhorrent requirments are probably for the Damage taken badges (heroes and villains). Specially since only damage to base health works. The best way here would simply let it be ALL damage taken (and not just damage done to base health) count towards the badge.
This would help enormous (also for villains accolade).

500 Illusionist, sure it is a steep number and getting it solo will be hard if not impossible. However if your in a badger team you will be able to get that badge within 3-4 hours. By simply Milking the Master Illusionist in a mission with an 8 man team. (This wont give you xp ofc... but in a badger team xp = worthless (or bonus), what is important is the goal =Badge. It gives you the time to socialise with your fellow badgers, while beating them illusions.)
Yes it is dull work, but company makes it better.

For me those hunt/kill badges gives me the possibility of talking to my fellow badgers and bonding abit. On union we announce that we are starting a hunt for one type or more villains and we get response from others in the channel.

One change that irks me was towards the Fabricator badge. By making it so that converting Brainstorm ideas do not work towards making inventions... well for me I have plenty of brainstorm ideas that I wont use... yet.
10000 units when the buffs you create (through empowerment table) cannot be deleted/removed even is hampering the way towards Fabricator even more.
  20. Thank you Niviene.
Both for getting rid of the Suffix and the underscore.
    Wohoo.
  21. E-mail sent.
Hope to even get rid of the "_" between "Lady" and "Arete"... and thus simply be... Lady Arete.
  22. Welcome back SteelRat.
I don't do AE, I favour the old way of levelling. The way to get to know your character, you know. ;P (Preparing to get flamed)
Only time I go into the AE is placing characters there for dayjobs or Roleplaying an arc with my sg. Have put a few arcs on hold until the Devs decide what shall stay and what shall not (due to PL certain mobs are removed etc). Hope they add a few more things to the MA so that a few other arcs I got in my head can be realized.
And to your answer, have yet to make or play a Fire/Kin.
I look forward to I-16 and the additions to the character creator, but unsure if any of my existing chars will change some of their power colors. (But never say never).. Then there are new alts to be made with the new profilation. (And sometime this year hopefully... GR)
  23. Hmm, think I've done 3 of them (4 if you include Mother's love Halloween Death race... with the one intended death).
Done: 600 badges challange, get every taskforce badge, Fully IO out a character,

But do you really want to put Leader (2 billion) as one of the goals and not Popular (1 billion)? I ask since that badge is only on a handful of players (I think)
What soloing the GM without dying...? But Rise of the Phoenix would be vital as part of my attack chain ;P (Darnit)
The last two Damz.. well AE would make that easy I think. (No reason to go anywhere)

    Here comes a few suggestions:
No, i've not done them all but it gives me and us as a playerbase something to strive for. (Did the MoSTF)
How about participating in a Mothership Raid (In the heat of battle) and emerge without Debt (Not died once)? (More fun if this is done as a squishy)
How about being part of a Successful Hamidon Raid. The extra challange would be, not dying more then a set amount of times? (And still pounding at that big blob)

Complete a MoSTF (Master of Statesmans Task Force) and/or MoRTF (Master of Recluses Task Force).
And for sheer awesomeness, complete the other taskforces in the game without dying?

Saw that one player has Soloed Romulus (loong youtube vid in many parts) that I would consider a big challange.
  24. Union is where I got my characters, badgehunters and roleplay. Union all the way.
  25. Sad to see you leave, but its good to see that its not for good.
Enjoy your vacation from the game and I hope to see you further down the road. As said by others a little break is always good. Hope to see you near Going Rogue launch (or shortly after)
