Col, unless your on the US server aswell as the EU server... I would not even wonder about a boxed edition. We in the EU will not get a boxed edition.
There will however be a Collectors edition that we can buy, instead of the just prepurchase one. In that collectors edition there will be an extra goodie pack, which those who buy the prepurchase do not get. Unless they buy it seperatly.

In the end it comes down to this.
If you prepurchase GR you can create Duel pistoleers and Demon summoners for several months before GR goes gold (july?).
Would you want to play them for months before launch or wait until GR goes live and get a free month and THEN play them?

So repeat, at the moment there is no way for the EU custom base to get a boxed edition. We can only get a "downloadable"/unlockable prepurchase/Collectors edition.

I do not want server merges (bad for customers, bad publicity for the company, wrong signals to those that do not play the game).

I am positive for a server list merge between NA and EU. That means that every player gets the chance of playing on a total of 15 servers. Different server communities and peak times, true, but everyone has the same amount of character slots. (Signature would explain most of my thoughts upon the subject)

As been said, I've never heard about a server list merge being done before. But I do believe it would be possible.
The danger could be as Scarlet have mentioned that players from one server joins the big server of their choice. I'll take myself as an example.
Lets say there is the server list merger, we have access to 15 servers. My home server is Union, cause I have friends I like to rp with and union is the unofficial rp server (or was, maybe Defiant has gotten more I do not know).
Virtue is one of the heaviest populated servers, specially for rp. It is the unofficial rp server on the US side. So would I make a few chars over there... definitly. Cause I would want to see how rp is done over there.
There could even be a chance that most of the rp community moves over to virtue (from union and also from defiant). Thus depleting the amount of players on union.

Yes, a global name change might have to happen or we would simply be known (me as example if there exists another of my name) @lady areteEU and @lady areteNA or something, it would be changable with name token (or maybe not, up to the Devs).

I think that we might see a drop of players with a server list merge, but I am optimistic that we would also see an influx of already existing players. Specially from EU that has US accounts (and this goes as I've hinted at both ways). Reason, peek times and time you can play or just checking out how it is on the .. well was on the other side of the pond.

I just hope they do not implement the CO name system, it destroyed some of the immersion for me. Globalname/currentonlinechar name -system.
Yuck, it did allow us to have identical names for chars we made, but I felt it was as said, bad for immersion.

Caemgen has never known his ancestory or the origin of his powers. Every time he has tried knowing about who he is and who the one before him was, the answer has always eluded him.
Those who have searched have found little or no evidence. So far they have scratched magic and mutation. When heroes or individuals began questioning the origin of powers they knew or could guess there was other kinds of origins.
The history would be as follows. It begins with a man and a woman, as most stories do. The woman was as the words go a witch and yes I am afraid that the man was more then a man. He was a devil. Would it not be better saying demon? No there is a difference. Demons are chaotic and evil, Devils are Lawful and evil...
There was a child of this union, just like the sayings tell us (and cliches aswell). The "man" vanished and the witch was left with her newborn daughter. Yes I said daughter. For here is what happened next.
There was a group of scientists in the area. They where a different kind of scientists then what normally would be classified as scientists. They enjoyed what can only be called as fringe science. They where in fact like a mad scientist would be. Now this group had noticed something strange happening nearby (our little family of 3) and somehow of reasons their frail mind could make at the moment managed to get the dna sequence of the child.
One of them, called himself and liked to be called it. Doctor Frank Stein.
He was a genious in many ways and used the dna in his research.
Some time passed (and so had a few of his science buddies) but doctor Stein carried on and was well on the discovery of advanced Cloning.
His mind at the time (only he knew) made him make a few vats and he began cloning the dna of the girl, he made a few tinkering here and there and by the time it had gone a few years he had success.
In the vats he had 5 different creatures. He had made the clones male and identical. All well and good right?
Not quite. Somehow the elderly witch had managed to find out about the experiment, or it may have been a Crey expedition, or the classic... town mob. I choose to go with the elderly witch.
There was a dark and gloomy night, with thunderstorms the whole 9 yards.
She entered and began using her magic powers. Now somehow some magic or lightning did get loose and wrecked vats, the lab, and the building, yes everything. Except for one of the clones. When the clones had been freed by the hostile magic one of them had woken and fortune had spared him. He found himself elsewhere a new world to explore and no memory of what had transpired. He only knew that he liked the name Caemgen.
Thus the story begins in earnest

#4 I have gotten bitten by the "I like images of my chars" syndrome. Since I am a badgehunter would that collector in me also want images done by various artists... I wonder.

That was my thought as well Duncan. However we are not told spesifically who is behind the coming storm.
After all we do have a few letters telling us not to trust the O-gang and question for yourself why you are not fighting the threat or learn more of the threat that is coming. Instead of going towards the future (which you could as they say the rules allow for), your only sent into the past... except for that one time that we both refer to vs the meteorite in Atlas Park.

Overused: Nemesis. I'm tired of him cropping up all the place. He has had several issues with him in it, time to let some other group get the spotlight.
Overused: As mentioned the Deus Ex Machina named Blue Steel.

I share the opinion of wanting to see more about Hellions/skulls having a taskforce where they are the predominant group with archvillain.
Aswell with more of the Center. (Super Charisma ooo)
Also having some more personal missions from the various Heroes like Swan, Minx, Valkyrie... the entire gang really.

I'd really like to see more of Victor Von Grun. Doc Aeon is cool, but I can laught together with Victor Von Grun.

I'd like to see more of Krylov (and Spetsnaz).
Shivans.. nasty alien "thingy's" that have landed on earth and we know sooo little about them. (Although we do go forward in time when one of them has fallen in Atlas Park, so I expect to hear more about them)
Apex... Loved that char (loved the comics aswell, please make more of them like the stories with Apex and War Witch).
The Legacy chain (as mentioned by others).

Edit: Just remembered. Circle of Thorns may be used too much to peoples discomfort. Me... I love wacking them demon summoning body snatching sorcerers.

There is a whole new game for you to play now, with plenty of free content that has been given to us.

Also for roleplay there is the crowd under Galaxy Girl at the evenings, some RP in Pocket D and also in a few supergroups.

Do not be discourage if you do not see many people around, since there are as you might remember a lot of action taking place in instances.

Really curious on this new feature that you were vague about. I suspect some kind of linky with the US. Maybe not a server list merge (I can still hope) but something close. However I would not know or be able to guess what it would be...
But thank you War Witch. You've given reasons and answers. (If only the men/woman in black that you talked to could have talked abit this... earlier. By the way do they dress in black, are they men/woman or are they Nemesis automatons? ;D )

@fatalnova. I think you mean Server LIST merge, NOT Server merge.
Server merge would mean two servers merged into one (and unhappy people). List merge would mean joint US and EU list (aka 15 servers).
I do believe it was Server LIST you meant to say, just wanted to be sure

GG. Yes they are "busy" thinking about GR and all that. Well Devs are, not so sure the marketing, server responsible etc (whoever is in charge) is that busy.
And... even if he/she was, it would be better with say a server list merge for NA/EU BEFORE GR disks are burned, packet and sold (aka going Gold) in the shelves in America.
Why?
Simple. Cause they would not longer need to make two versions of the updater, just one. Which would be compatible with ever updater that goes to the merged list.
And if GR was a success in NA, well they could just make more copies and sell more of that version... even in Europe.
Making it possible to sell the same item on two markets is far better then just selling it in one.
So just before GR is made and goes gold, it would be far more prudent and less time consuming to do an eventual Server list merge then After GR hits the shelves.

Lady Arete fire/fire blaster - Redeemed Sorceress. She fell in with the Circle of thorns and almost joined them before the Rikti War. It all changed one night after they had tried possessing her (and she fled) that she had to return to a Circle gathering in Perez Park.
It became a battle and she fled Perez, dodging Circle and Heroes alike, until she came to Steel Canyon. There she paused, gave herself up and was sentenced for her crimes.

The Lady is my heaviest based canon char. I got a few other chars, but she is the char most heavily written. One i can mention is:
Cyrene (emp/son Def & son/plant troller) - young mutant that grew up in Kings, recruited and trained by G.I.F.T.

They would want to know who he or she was behind that mask, interview with family members etc... Atleast they want to know more then their competitior papers/media. They would want exclusive interviews etc.
IF they find said hero just relaxing (if you are unable to hide who you are like marvels She-Hulk) they could take pictures like crazy and claim that they could cause the hero is a public person.

Hopefully they would not be as negative as Bugle vs Spiderman.

And insurance companies would make a new insurance if there was super villains: Super Damage insurance. But that is besides the point.

Questions for the Devs, lets see:
Base Editor: There is a lot of items in the game that is not in the base editor. Will we ever see those or similar items in the baseeditor? (Like beds? Ex. The current bed in the editor has plenty of chains on it. Since few heroes are into s&m... maybe its time to add more choices?)

AE customization: Will the power customization tool be applied to the MA engine?

Maps: Will we have Map customisation possibility for the MA (missions, outdoors, the works?) or new maps on a regular basis as the issues come?

Graphic Engine (Think it would go there):
Will we see an increase of polygons on our character? (aka updating character models, more details?) Since I do feel that the graphical engine of our characters needs to be updated a little (but not too much)
Will we have more costume piece places, like Arm accessories or leg accessories?
(I do believe we soon will be able to have tail & belt?)

Pvp: Will we have more pvp scenarios, minigames that we can join like in other games. (Instanced area that you must join, either through a machine (like in Arena) or touch of a button). Warhammer had some nice ones, even Co had one: Zombie Apocalypse scenario. (In short everyone but a few starts on one side, goal is to protect the cottage from zombies. If the zombies overrun and there are no heroes left to defend the zombies win. The fun part was that there was a few players that was made automatically zombies and well it turned quickly into a fun pvp scenario.)

Public quests: Warhammer had these lovely public quests where several players joined in to fight in a scenario, will we be seeing this or something similar in the (near) future?

Temp Powers:
Could we get a new permanent temp power or Vet reward power (like we do with Blackwand or Nemesis Staff): The nice Croatoa Spell vs the Fae named Rune of Warding? (I love the animation etc on it)
