You think DE is bad now wait till they get rain that doesn't burn or freeze them!
-
So what we need is a new icon filter that hides icons not from your set.
This would also allow two of the same type of buffers to not overlap as often if they didn't want to. -
If you don't enjoying buffing players then why are you picking buffing powers?
-
If they did do this I hope the timer wouldn't start till a mission was reset. This way if the missions bugs out you have 12 hours in game to retry it. If the mission is fine you have 12 hours to farm it ^_^.

...still coming? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'd bet not; we have been teased about this almost since I started playing this game, and nary a peep have we heard of anything substantial regarding this.
The metaphorical boy has cried "wolf!" 1000 times too many about this tempest in a teapot; it goes in one ear and out the other now.
I will believe we are getting it when I see it on Test.
[/ QUOTE ]And then you'll complain about how people all falling over themselves to say how great it is and how the Dev's wasted your time with it. -

Seriosly harsh. I mean they make their consoles so easy to program for no one has to tinker at em for years to reach full potential.

near-total lack of end-game content after 5 years is a perfectly legitimate gripe to make.

LOL. I can't take anyone seriously who says something like this.

And yet, somehow, my heart will go on.

I don't think the Wiki could handle the surge in traffic if the majority of players knew of it.

The leveling speed wasn't unpresidented Lightfoot. Remember the one exploit where you could rapidly level a whole SG by clicking one person over and over again.

Before AE came out there were at least two warnings not to use it as farm grounds. They were ignored.
When AE came out the patch notes and tutorial said not to farm it. This was ignored.
The Devs went "If you can't be trusted not to throw the ball in the house you don't get any balls."
People acted like kids they were disciplined like kids.
[/ QUOTE ]
I came back after the AE release.
Heck, I even missed the free 5 year weekend...
But your comment... lol
I understand you're trying to use an analogy, but I think you're a little far off in your description.
I'd draw the comparison like this:
Before AE came out there at least two advertisements for free crack cocaine in the AE missions. But the crack cocaine was not supposed to be used. Just looked at.
When AE came out the patch notes and tutorial said not to use the crack cocaine.
This was ignored.
The Devs went "If you crackheads can't be trusted to leave the crack cocaine alone, then you're banned!"
Gamers acted like gamers.
It was absurd to expect anything else.
[/ QUOTE ]My version also covers the people who may or may not have been hit with punishment by mistake. It's like when dad tries to hit a kid while driving and hits everyone in the back seat. -

I've RPed almost all the PvE options. Also if you RP in a PvP zone long enough you'll end up with a badge. Same for walking around town RPing as you go to exploration badges. In fact I'd say you could RP the whole damn list without any issue. Just last night a small group of us RPed that giant monster in Dark Astoria for the badgey.
I think you are doing it wrong.
[/ QUOTE ]
See, I read that first "RPed" as a word that was just missing a letter (the letter 'a', for those who are curious), and from then on in your post, replaced every instance of "RP" with that word. Made your post a lot more chuckle worthy. Then I felt bad for the victims.

Also that giant zombie has no pants...he was asking for it dressed that way. -
I didn't know this electric razor wouldn't work in the shower because the warning was written in some book that also had Spanish in it.

How hard is it to say "take a right after you enter the base and follow the hall to the left...should be the second telepad."

But I don't have a Telepad down that hall.

I also recommend you all try playing a couple of characters from 1-50 without any dev tricks, just as a normal player, to see how grindy things are. Then go on a couple of farm missions with some friends and see how fun the leveling can be in comparison.
[/ QUOTE ]
I level all my characters 'without any dev tricks'. I have only four 50's to show for it, but those 50s mean far more to me than any 50 I could have gotten sitting in a farm with my thumb up my [censored]. If you honestly think the game is grindy, by all means give Lineage II a try. CoH's XP curve makes Lineage II's look like a sheer cliff.
[/ QUOTE ]
One last time...the whole OP was directed AT THE DEVS. That includes the PS. Since when can players invoke dev tricks? And by dev tricks I was referring to auto-leveling, extra powers, free influence, etc. All the stuff they do to test random things but fails to give an accurate portrayal of the actual gameplay.
I want the devs now to buff up reading comprehension in the next patch.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're assuming that none of the developers also play the game to have fun, or that they almost exclusively rely on 'dev tricks' to break their own game.
Are you aware of what assumption makes you...?
Merely curious.
EDIT: And if one flat-out told you he did play the game 'honest', would you even believe them?
[/ QUOTE ]
Do I believe any of them have played the game from 1-50 as a normal player without giving in to the urge to use the power at their disposal? Nope. It gets too tedious once you get into the 30s.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tedious for you maybe. Took me almost 2 years for my first 50, too many alts and a lot of debt.
Tedious for me is trying explainining to someone on a Numina TF where Creys Folly is.
"Hmmm lvl 42 and no vet badges...." Probably no correlation there huh?

I'ld say ake it an emote (/em icpraise) but I don't know if you can put timers on those.

Hey folks,
A long time ago, someone showed me the
/bind LSHIFT+LBUTTON "powexecname Teleport"
that makes you teleport wherever the mouse pointer is, by shift-clicking. The targeting circle never appears. On the first toon i used this on, it still Works As Intended.
Whenever i use it on a new toon, tho, entering that bind command as above... the teleport works, however i ALSO get the targeting circle. In fact, the circle appears as soon as i hold down Shift!
I'm not sure what changed. It doesn't really break functionality, as i teleport to wherever the point was: and for long travel, i can just click again to get rid of the circle (and teleport to it). If the circle is still there when i'm done travelling, Esc gets rid of it.
However, it's odd. I can't figure out what changed between Old Toon it still works on, and New Toons where the circle appears. Any ideas?
