I see no evidence to support this. I see the fact that when they were in need of greater power they turned to outside help as a sign this is not true.

Quote:Some people don't like the some of the fortune's buffs...but if you don't mind any of them I think the bird in Pocket D can set it to auto accept...After 7+ years of playing, sometimes I forget why we asked the Devs to do things the way they exist now. If you've forgotten the age-old logic too, then feel free to ask questions as to why things are the way they are nowadays.
I'll start: Why oh why did we ask the Devs to make Fortunes a manual accept again? -
And without the influence of those forces they would never have had the high magic development. Just like without the well we wouldn't have any incarnates or enough supers to make a game on it.

Quote:Teilekku...Lughebu...Yes, of course. And we take great pains to ignore it, too. Because it's crap, and it seeks to define, or re-define our characters, as it were. It also makes one wonder where the Oranbegans got the powers to have an advanced magical civilization 14 000 years ago, long before Pandora's Box was opened.

Quote:I hope they use some of it on BRB research. It's time gated OR money gated.
If you want to avoid the time gate, pay to avoid it.
Personally, I can't see myself buying one of them. In my opinion, spending money just because you're too impatient to do it in-game is kinda silly. But, if people want to do it, I suppose it gives the devs more money to develop things I actually care about. -
I can imagine the final NC quotes now:
"Oh god he was so completely destroyed their is no genetic samples left for cloning!"
"His soul has been eaten as magic fuel and no longer exists!"
"I heard the power of the well prevents anyone form using time travel to bring him back!" -
Quote:I've got way more stuff to do in game while my husband looks for a new job now then I did the last time our budget got tightened.So... are they going to turn Dark Astoria into another First Ward, where it's pointless to be there unless you're VIP or a bored street sweeper?
Got a bad feeling that Premiums are going to get a major drought, save for a trial that could be amazing or a 3-map pity token with dull mechanics straight out of Architect.
The new powersets sound nice, but again, with the way VIP-slanted content releases seem post-F2P, it seems that purchasing the power sets as premium is a terrible value because you can get bored more easily due to lack of non-VIP content. -
Anyone who would find this option immersion breaking or game spoiling would already have had that issue with other market and in game alternatives to plot driven mechanics. This does seem like a complete non issue.

The issue is it's not how some believe the game should be played...I don't normally follow people's trends so I don't know who has been antifreedom the whole time.
-
This whole undress thing is just a phase, as soon as the game works through it we'll start making all of the plot characters dark and brooding, and ummm...what happens next vanilla with a side of camp before we start all over again? I might have missed a stage in there.
-
Since MM pet customization does not exist yet female minions would be randomly puled from the summons pool. Anyone who wanted to be inappropriate would have to keep releasing and summoning pets. I think that alone would deter the casual offender and that more active one will just find ways to be offensive without the game play enhancement.

Supes does have the whole "no defense against magic" thing, so we would want him to stay out anyways. Is Superman a Rikti?

Quote:I'm more concerned about rather or not they'll see this as a sign Sam needs bigger warning about posting potential exploits publicly. And at the time I thought the change to Whirlwind was unnecessary and mildly annoying. Not quite as annoying as when ragdoll physics apparently changed the appearance of Whirlwind, though. If you've already brought it up in multiple instances and ways and been moderated for it then it's likely they already know about it and either can't do anything about it or else (as you actually pointed out yourself) it's not really a major concern.

I hope it's not and the community team has to figure out the correct way to derail our building expectations.

Quote:Explain to me both how ED effects costumes and how it effects the equation when there are equal amounts of ED on both sides. They've released pay for costumes in the past, but you had to buy them at a regular store and you had to buy all of it, and you could not preview it.
But with the Paragon Market you see the pieces in the costume creator, use them for design - and can then buy them when you see a need for them. And you can buy in bulk or just the pieces you need. And you can do it in game.
This is 98.5% better than before (would be 100% better except for ED).
The only complaint I have about the market is that in the market it shows me stuff I have already purchased, but the costume creator has stuff unlocked so I just go by that. -
I was walking through the city streets
And a man walks up to me and hands me water from the Well of Furies
"Run faster, jump higher"
Man, I'm not gonna let you poison me
I threw it on the ground! -

Quote:I thought Gull turned off the speed change not the endurance change.First, crowing about this sort of thing in public is the best way to start a nice handy nerfball rolling.
Second, I still have the Gull turn off SB and all group travel powers the instant I hit about.... level 20. Maybe sooner.... the instant I start being able to manage Endurance issues pretty well by myself. -

"dork sounds like a wow lover then why didnt he do a review on wow..coh gameplay character customization and new updates surpases wow ina longshot.."
Hardly civil... and I'm not even sure if he watched the review. Don't know why the mere mention of WoW causes such rage.... still. I don't even play WoW anymore. But, like the players here, it's the MMO I know the best.
When I go into a review, I go in as a new player, allowing only what I experience as a Free Player. Sometimes, I spend money, and sometimes I don't.
If people feel I shorted this game... I probably did. This review took place during Christmas, and I was almost late with it. I literally finished it two days ago, having gotten sick during the holidays, when I didn't have somewhere to be.
I spend roughly two weeks with an MMO when I review them. I say roughly because I never know what's on my plate for those weeks. And this week was a bit of a doozy, so I apologize for that.
If you think I sound unenthusiastic... that's how I talk. It takes a while for people to get used to it. I know. Watch some of my other videos if you haven't. Eden Eternal was another overwhelmingly positive review I did, so if you think I was sounding distant and harsh... well there ya go.
Still, I don't feel I outright misrepresented the game, and if Paragon liked it enough to link it on their facebook page, I feel they at least appreciated it.
But please. Ask me specifics and I'll gladly explain myself.
